I have never been so happy to get to move furniture.
Ihad the idea to reach out to a locksmith, and finished reading through random online forums discussing just how impenetrable this particular lock we had would be to split. Seeing as it was Saturday afternoon and Litchfield is a little town, I figured if someone could even come out to start with, it would run us, oh. . $300? More? I had expectation of this actually becoming a feasible choice, and no thought.
Waking up early on a Saturday together with the goal in mind of driving down from Chicago to Litchfield, clearing out a storage locker, and turning to head back to the city in the same day. . Let's say, not my ideal way to invest half an weekend. Arriving at the storage locker drive only to discover that you brought the padlock key that is incorrect was demoralizing. As my father and I sat at the Wendy's parking lot eating lunch within our sunk-cost U-Haul (an absolutely sorry appearing spectacle ), we attempted to attempt to accept our looming fate -- returning empty handed, time and money squandered, dreading every other Saturday we would need to commit to accomplish the task.
