I contacted them and they replied I with a quotation. I truly appreciated this. They did a fantastic job, with recommendations that are very useful and fast.
A couple of days afterwards, somehow I lost my keys in the stress of moving! I contacted Udi more. A day to look for my keys if it showed up he patiently suggested to take. Regrettably, they were no where to be found. Udi came and now helped break into the knob that was old, so that I could get into the home. He discarded the old knob and put in a brand new one with a shade that better matched my doors. He was very friendly and spoke down my worry about losing my keys - that he explained that it happens all the time to everyone (even to himself!)
He was personable, making sure that I was OK and immediately changed the locks without any hiccups in a few minutes when he arrived. (DC Locksmith takes credit card, money and check; and provides an emailed receipt).
Thank goodness for great services such as DC Locksmith the day, to save, and thank goodness for YELP with the reassuring recommendations and reviews that are useful!
Avi was considerate and considerate He said he never seen a lock. He was able to fix my lock in a timely fashion and match the hardware up. I will use there service again!
STAY CLEAR AT ALL COSTS! I literally fixed it myself with his pliers and Avi said loudly in an angry voice, after returning to his van, you need to pay me $50. For doing nothing?!! $50 (besides being a dick) (also other company's usually have a $29 home call fee if that). He tried to convince me I owed him $50 to use his pliers that were dumb for 5 minutes. (I had borrowed a pliers out of a neighbor for free)
Because this is a totally terrible service these reviews have to be cooked.
That is a horrible/traumatic encounter although I never write reviews that are bad. . .wtf is. . .borderline scam.
When Avi came he was rude, unfair and unprofessional. After I was locked outside, Avi looked in the my door and then told me it'd cost $290 into drill-in and destroy my stuck lock and then replace it (which btw was higher compared to the locksmith I since hired him). I suggested trying to correct the lock Avi stated it would not function and proceeded to see me actually do fight and his job to correct the lock. (without destroying it) He then went back to his van to smoke and then stated he'd depart and go to some other client in five minutes.
GO WITH LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!
NEVER AGAIN!
Sad that this occurred, but happy I didn't allow this guy destroy my lock. Have discovered another locksmith who does not try to scam people and is reasonable.
Save your sanity and money.
Avi came on time (during a Sunday) and fixed my broken lock quickly and for a very fair price, which was hauled beforehand (not simply surprise as many tradies try to do). He gave me options and also explained everything he was doing.
I am very delighted with the service and can't recommend these guys highly enough.
I closed on a house in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and need to have the locks changed out as swiftly as possible. I looked on Yelp and discovered DC Locksmith as the best rated service. I can inform you that they lived up to this reputation with me. While only needing to have 4 locks re-keyed, it was a endeavor.
I received a text to let me understand they were 25 mins out. They came on time and the equipment necessary to do the job with all.
My house had completed recovery and DC Locksmith was able to fix many problems from having the ability to fully lock, that we are preventing my door locks. They also ensured that if I wanted I was setup to go with locks in the future. No charge for all the extra work.
Their workmanship is top-notch and they are also one of the sole (or the only) locksmith in DC which also provides welding services.
Not sure how the pricing is although I couldn't get anybody to give a quote for the work to me, but felt enough based on the work took.
DC Locksmith was hired for a project at our 9-unit condo building. We had them do some moderately complex welding for the installation of an exit pub on an existing metal gate and they installed an electronic strike for a security access method for your building.

This was our first time working with DC Locksmith. We worked to re-key all of the locks at our place and bought a home. In all, they set up a lock and re-keyed a few other locks. They also got everything on one key, which is wonderful! I also love that they were willing to schedule some time on a Sunday for a call. Avi did great work and was really friendly and professional. I will DC Locksmith later on for any locksmith needs and highly recommend them.
His rates are fair and reasonable and he makes sure that his work is solid and reliable. He is a fantastic guy to talk with and it was a pleasure doing business.
Udi was able to make it to my house to perform a consultation and support all of the doors in my home at precisely the same moment. He did a wonderful job and went beyond and over to troubleshoot some problems brought on by the previous owners.
Locks aren't cheap but I believed I got service, excellent value and reassurance using the locks Udi installed.

Udi was quite nice, professional and prompt. He texted when he had been on his way which gave me a 30 mins. A condo closed with safety doors for. He helped me know the grade of options and the locks.
Udi was great. I can't say enough great things. Prompt in his responses; always consistent in what he quotes and told me ended up being significantly less than what I paid. He is clearly VERY knowledgeable about security/locks and gave guidance to me which saved me money. He is a pro and I would recommend him to anybody who needs anything related to locks. He will be my go-to for things related to locks.

Very highly urge DC Locksmith for any size job; the first job was little, the most recent bigger. I felt that they were taking the opportunity to perform the job and keep me informed, no matter the size.
Having closed on a new house, I needed to quickly change all the locks (most were not up to code, and demanded a secret from either side, instead of a thumb bolt from the inside). They arrived were prompt, and let me know exactly what they were doing. They returned, and had to run outside for supplies.
