Howald Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing

Howald has done 2 complex plumbing tasks for me, and installed a mini split ductless AC unit on my 2nd floor.
From 2 companies, I had 2 quotes of price for the AC unit, and Howald was nearly 50% cheaper to get the unit.
They answered all of my ignorant questions and were friendly every moment. If there was a hiccup in something on the job they left it right.
On a single plumbing job, they were able to locate a means.

We will not be going back to Howald.
The system still n't worked properly, so we called in another corporation. They identified a coolant coil that was broken and that we had lost several pounds of coolant. The technician laughed when we discussed the preceding company and mentioned they (Howald) likely played us for a fast buck.
The technician said it was just a dirty filter that he'd wash but would have to charge $100 for an emergency repair. Total of about $186. He told us the hardware was fine and there was no problem.

We are in the process of constructing a master bedroom along with piping HVAC to parts of our house which weren't installed with heating or cooling. It's a classic, quirky house in SoBro.
The day Howald saved. The technicians were instantaneous for plumbing and heating/cooling and came for the estimates quickly. The day of the jobs, they worked and were prompt. The true price came below the initial estimate which I thought was a pretty classy move once we were billed. We're happy with their job. The technicians are polite and friendly.
Before calling Howald we had three companies to our home in order to get estimates for the job we had done. All of them looked overwhelmed and uncertain by the job we wanted done and never followed up or gave some sort of estimate. Even after calling to check in we discovered nothing back.
We got to the point at which our kitchen is prepared for some plumbing job and we knew exactly who to call. They are coming to do some plumbing job for us!

Service for both HVAC and plumbing issues we have had in our rehabbed property. The techs (HVAC and technicians ) and women who answer the phones are always friendly. The techs always arrive when they say they'll, also we tried. Most importantly, they hear along with we have been helped by the techs . Having a CFA together is certain worth it, too.

Starting with the office staffthey listen and work for you service as possible. They're not short or impolite. I have used them on numerous occasions and they are always professional, Friendly and clarify exactly what they're doing. Steve, the Plumbing Mgr, ensures that your problem is solved, such as Leaving the workplace and getting his hands dirty to make sure that your job is ideal. They are strongly recommended by me.

Howald came highly recommended by people in my neighborhood. Some had utilized Howald for years and years.
I don't know what other areas charge to do things, but I'm a little miffed to need to pay almost $100 for a fee. This could just be my ignorance of the HVAC trade, but that's a lotta dough simply to have somebody look in your own unit and go,"Yep, the whatsit needs to be replaced." I'm not complaining too much because I'm less and a good deal sexier grumpy today that I have atmosphere. Thanks, Howald!

We purchased a brand new furnace from Howald a year ago and have been really pleased with it. We had our first service now and it was exceptional. Kevin was really professional and educated. He not only serviced the furnace, he was able to discover our dehumidifier wasn't working-blocked drain hose. He also fixed the hose for a tiny fee and changed the filter. Thrilled! Highly recommend Howald.

I'd give Howald 6 stars if I could! I signed on to get a service contract on my rental this past year and I just revived. In the year and a half, they've defended my heating and air, and even set up a sump pump, even in a price! They came out recently to research a mystery leak and fixed it in a really reasonable price. Howald came same-day out, and I had to make a service when I was told by my renters that the heat was out, fixed it, and changed the filter and did the maintenance call. Everyone who works there's always is quite stressful. I really like this company!

After our annual service call Larry delivered a friendly reliable and knowledgeable professional who serviced our AC. We appreciate a trustworthy business partner caring.

They refused to provide a quote on the work. I guess it was just too hard...

2 words-First Rate! Call Howald, if you do not need a fair Company that delivers on what they state and also prides itself and high pressure sales tactics.
Had. After (5) bids from other Companies, on information of my Friend, called Howald and fulfilled with Tim F. Should have called them first. He has over 24 years experience and has been prepared to work with me. Their bid was $300 less than many others and he was the man that didn't try to up-sell me or push against something I didn't desire and actually listened to me.
Set up install 2 days later and their Installers (Jason and Chris) actually showed up 20 minutes early. They've been working for more than ten years and one understands exactly what the other is currently believing without asking inquiring or requirements. They operate in tandem that is perfect and pumped out the job at under 5 hours. They displayed a thorough mastery of knowledge on every question I had during the setup and left my home cleaner than it was before they revealed. After the setup, Jason took 10 minutes to discuss energy efficiency best practices, upkeep, etc.. He truly cared about his Client and about making sure every bolt and nut was tight and everything was fantastic.

Have used a couple of times to them, and they have always had experienced, quality technicians come out. My experiences with them were for plumbing issues -- one kitchen issue and one toilet -- they came and did a fantastic job if one of the scenarios included some trouble-shooting. Solid, trustworthy business. Would recommend them.
