These men have done two tasks for me. They do maintenance and came out to inspect a hot water tank leak. They allow me to get it replaced for free and found that the tank to have leak. They did a massive day long occupation, fixing another problem that came up and substituting the tank. The owner worked with me on a price that was fair. Adam was my tech. He was great and he should be requested by you. Quality of work was exceptional, so that they didn't bring a mess into my 29, they left the work area clean and even out in protective boot covers.

NOT GOOD, NOT PROFESSIONAL AND NOT SERIOUS COMPANY!After all of this, we asked to Chris to give us a quote of either repairing the present ac unit or changing it completely, it's been almost 1 week and nobody from the office called me back and followed to notify me about the quote and the way to have my problem solved! Please note that I have my ac unit broken and it is an emergency situation!!! Following this Chris wanted to get $71 because he was super slow and it took a lifetime to comprehend exactly what was wrong after I clarified twice what was incorrect!!! told him
He seemed very slow-pace confused, not proficient and not willing to work and have my problem.

I am quite disappointed about this company! Stay away!
I called the company and advised a first visit with charge to have my ac unit seemed at. On the day of the appointment, Chris arrived and wanted to be compensated $129 (before start to work) and he was saying that his title was distinct from McMahon... I didn't know this part... Anyways, I was there with him for the timeI explained the issue more than once and the technician kept saying he couldn't help us because he didn't know about the version of the ac unit and demonstrating a lack in efforts to truly attempt to help me to fix this problem...

I only recommend this company if you're pressed for time and no other pipes are available. They're in Hyde Park although they will advertise as a local south shore business. You will always be trying to find new ones when your mission is to overcharge clients. Trust me. This really is. lower costs charge to set up a customer base and don't drive 30 miles. Beware of this company. On the optimistic side, Adam would be very effective as an independent contractor and was very experienced, professional.

FEMALES BEWARE. This company is not truthful, will take advantage of girls who they presume don't know. Thank God I got a second opinion- saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. Notice all testimonials are either 1 or 5 stars? Their testimonials are filled with family/friends, or fair consumers hoping to warn the people of this company.

This plumbing company is the worst. They and their numbers play and it is difficult to tell what there support encompasses and what merchandise you are becoming. I guess it is normal to be billed $300.00 under support to make an application for a license. We were billed 2000.00 for replacing a water heater. McMahon at my doorway with water heater they must have had to unload. Not what I needed and not consulted.

The person who answered telephone refused to provide me a quote over the phone to replace my old garbage disposal. Would only tell me it'd cost $100.00 to look at disposal before work was done.
Tech came and didn't look at disposal. Simply said it'd price $550.00 to change disposal. I was robbed and I know it. However, was pressed for time. They got this time to me.

Michael McMahon is a jackass. When I had the audacity to ask if his plumbers were insured, he became belligerent and answered"we've been in business since 1952!" This doesn't indicate that a company carries.
Overprice and the service is fair.
Being female, I can't help but wonder if Michael McMahon (owner) would talk to a man in the same fashion. So ladies, have a phone that is male.

Horrible! We hired to correct a flow and to alter faucet. The flow was never fixed and our ceiling is currently ruined. Called twice and got a call back from owner. Made it sound that we did some thing wrong and they only were hired to alter a faucet. We had been told that they can not do anything without us being billed to repair the problem we hired them . Wanted to give my company to a local business but that was a mistake.

STAY AWAY if you possess a tankless water heater that is Navien!!!!!
So all in all, I have paid $249 for sending a technician with minimal experience about Navien tankless water heater. On top of that, instead of admitting he doesn't know what is wrong with the water heater, the technician provided me a totally incorrect identification and advocated to replace the entire unit, which could have lent me thousands of dollars more if I'd listened to him.
The following dayI searched online and found a plumbing firm that is a Navien service specialist. They send a technician over and he told me the 3-way valve at the heater is malfunctioning that's the reason I'm not getting any hot water. They send the valve to be replaced by a technician during the next day and it fixed the problem. The entire service cost was $400 (the components were still under guarantee ).
Con: Dishonest, lack of knowledge and experience
I not got any hot water out of my Navien tankless water heater. I informed me about the model of my own water heater and my situation and emailed McMahon. I was able to schedule an appointment for following day and received a call in couple hours. The technician came on time the following day and took a peek at the water heater. He then told me the solution would be to replace and the heat exchanger is obstructed. I told him I would have to put some ideas on it before making the decision. I was charged $99 for the identification service cost and $150 for its service time charge.
Pro: the technician shows up on time, and Willing to schedule an appointment for following day

On precisely the exact same day, a tech came out to evaluate the situation, provided me with some very affordable options, did not use any pressure to go either way, and finally, we came into a solution as to how best to deal with the situation.
Been meaning to write a review for a couple weeks. . .had a Excellent experience with McMahon Plumbing & Heating.
The exact same day, it had been done , they were effective and the price was comparable to some other. Been pleased with this ever since....fast forward a few weeks later, following the work was done, the water pressure in the kitchen of our house was very weak, so I called back to McMahon Plumbing & Heating and talked to the man himself (Mike!) And he gave me some advice and suggested I take some pics and email them to help further diagnose.
They're courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and while I don't necessarily like the prospect of needing to deal with plumbing difficulties, residing in an old house as we do, I know that it may be a recurring motif and that I find comfort knowing that McMahon Plumbing & Heating is but just a telephone call away.
Our water heater was leaking badly and needed to be addressed. I'm happy that I did.
They do excellent work.

On the afternoon of the appointment a man wearing a quintessential"I'm an electrician or a plumber" uniform showed up (with his name written on it and everything) and proceeded to TRY and work out how to get to the fan that wasn't blowing hot air in the 1st location. It should be said that this can be a 70 unit condominium building which has a central heating system and all the units have 2-3 lovers (1 in each room) which are responsible for blowing the air to the unit. So essentially all that needed to occur is a lover or a engine of a fan required to be a. repaired or b. replaced.
Look you sent someone over that did not understand what the fuck they were doing (at least in the context of exactly what I needed fixed or done). Why am I to be charged?!
Oh and in case anyone is wondering something really reasonable: well perhaps your situation was that complicated along with your wall did need to be destroyed in order to get the fan (I would think this too if reading this review -- as a possibility)....guess again. I finally was able to track down HVAC individuals who've done work in our condominium building before and the man was able to attain the fan, remove it without bothering any of the drywall, and place in a new one for approximately 400-500 total!
Sooooo, all in all I would rather spend my Heating and Plumbing cash ALMOST ANYWHERE ELSE! I did read some of those favorable reviews of those folks that left a lot of them, who had experiences that are quite different . Good for them.
When I asked him to give me an notion how much it would cost to then also resolve the dry wall later such as the fan (replaced or fixed) he offered me around a 1000 bucks, but said it could be more. I asked him to leave and chose to cut my losses and that he introduced a bill to me . LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT....the owner of this business sent some third speed HVAC man (I'm supposing....sorry I don't understand anything about this business ) who I'm assuming (sort of does not matter here) he sub contracts this gig to or it is his worker to essentially appear, seem stupid for 20 minutes and then inform me that he has to destroy part of my wall so for him to even tell me exactly what the matter is and how much it will cost to have it repaired?! Is this correct? At this speed I could learn to do the most basic of dentist processes (say flossing a person's teeth for them) and then advertise my services saying that"when I don't understand how to fix your tooth difficulty I will still need to charge you a'visitation fee'". In the world where I live that shit is called a SCAM.
First of allI have to have steered clear whenever the owner (I think it was the owner) was mega rude on the phone for no reason whatsoever once I called to figure out what might be occurring in my condominium (fan not blowing air from the central heating system of the building) and if he had an notion about exactly what the problem could be and how much something like this may price. As I said those were not the exact words, but it was close. Fantastic way to start communicating with a prospective customer bro! I'm not one of those who needs everybody (businesses) to kiss my bum and kowtow to me about every little thing, but what I certainly don't need is someone to damn close tell me to go fuck myself, particularly during the very 1st conversation that I am having with whomever is representing the business!
This review is a couple years late (but thanks to McMahon Plumbing annually sending me magnet calendars using their business logo and phone number to keep them top of mind I will never forget about this crappy encounter ).
...I had been told when I set up the appointment that there is a non-negotiable heading out to"take a peek at what's going on charge" so to speak (my words) to essentially charge for coming out and diagnosing the problem, but it will be waived I figure if I ended up using them for the work. This seems completely reasonable IF what took place DID NOT OCCUR.
Would give zero stars if I could!
The reason I finally ended up using their services is (if I remember properly ) because it was fast becoming VERY COLD outside and I wanted heat to work in my own bedroom and I could not get anyone else to emerge in a timely manner....HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...

I did what every homeowner that is responsible does if something happens at my home: I do a little research on the internet to try and find a combination of the best service at the best price possible. I'm not going to cheap out on support for my house because I know that fantastic quality work comes at a cost.
Lately, I had a very specific issue with the water pipes in our rental property. My father in law would be a plumber (sadly he lives out of stateso he could not fix it), and quite clearly described what the issue was and what needed to be fixed. Equipped with this knowledge, I started phoning the reputable (read: highly Yelp rated) plumbers in the region. Rates varied radically. For the occupation, I got estimates ranging from $350-850. McMahon quoted the maximum price ($850) and I let them know that the price was double what additional (well-reviewed) plumbers had quoted me. I inquired if there was any room. McMahon said"we don't need someone who is cheap" and wrapped.
Certainly I understand what line of work that I must have gone into. Had I been a plumber, I could tell people to fuck off because I make way too much money as is.
At the conclusion of the dayI went with another plumbing firm that had a higher Yelp rating (4.5 stars) and did the job for $625. Perhaps not the cheapest, but the man I felt comfortable with doing a job that was careful because he really cared about my organization.

Called the business and a very friendly and knowledgeable woman replied. Heating experts, Chris showed up the next day. What a nice man. Very comprehensive. Everything and exactly what the cost was. No surprises.

Professional from start to finish. We had a tankless water heater made in 2017 and installed which was the ideal purchase my wife. Heating and mcMahon Plumbing was professional, fast as promised and delivered. They're worth every cent. I should have written this after the great job they did but that I forgot and did not get around to it. Last week when temps were below freezing my heater broke. I am sure they were very busy with emergency calls that week, but they found time to come out the identical moment, and fix my heater. Do not think give them.

McMahon has been used by me . In the instances they had friendly, competent and professional employees at my home. It is nice to have a business that's focused and concerned with customer service these days and actively investing in associations.
You bet I'll pay more for good service. Showering and being able to utilize my toilet are significant to me

I had to get a brand new port installed for my dryer.I known as and Adam was able to come into my house in a few hours. He was friendly fast and efficient. Wonderful experience!

Like the remainder, McMahon stated they probably could not get for a week or so to me, but somehow found a way to fit me DAY!!! They sent a tech (Taylor), who could not have been nicer or more competent. She had no difficulty. I could not be more happy with this company!! The customer service was wonderful and the pipes service was outstanding. I recommend McMahon!
Yesterday was among the coldest times of the year and each of the plumbers I called were deluged from people with no-heat problems. Though mine wasn't technically a crisis, my toilet broke and I could not turn off the water (seriously - many of the pipes tried to talk me through it, but nothing worked and operating water $$$).

I phoned McMahon since something was leaking into my toilet and I saw they were neighborhood and that they had good reviews. I could just see the water marks on the ceiling below when I made the call.
Tech recognized the problem and came out, much less a issue with cocking along tiles and tub but although a plumbing problem. Since he suggested I fixed the problem. That didn't address the issue. I know that there is some trial and error connected with jobs I could know if there was an error, but my difficulty comes when I call back to inform them that there's now water really leaking onto the floor so their technician have given me a wrong identification. Customer service rep said they couldn't come out for two days. Diagnose the issue and I paid the service fee to appear and they were wrong. The least that they can do was send someone to really look at trouble and provide a diagnosis when the job couldn't be done day. I already paid them to diagnose if I'd have got the proper information to begin with I would not have to waste another day finding another plumber to diagnose a problem.

Customer support and responsive in crises. Worked with me to solve my problems.
No issue with the work performed. Do note that they'll be quite costly for smaller jobs - better off calling a handyman when it is something but don't have enough time.

I took the afternoon off work and scheduled my appointment well in advance. The issue was that my device had no water shut-off, so the building had to be without water if I had some work.
McMahon Plumbing delivered Chris, who's a super tradesman that was mega. He was certain he could discover the source pipe, and had the fantastic idea to test above my air handler port and pulled aside the sheet metal so he could monitor the most important water resource. It was discovered by him and added a water shut off!
Chris did a bunch of work daily, I advised 2 weeks him to come back for a day. I had a whole lot of things done!
From Home Depot coming because I needed to select my own faucets I purchased the majority of the gear and the faucets. They also have them since I do not know whether they have them on the 26, but you might need to request them.
The good thing about McMahon pipes is they do not bill by the hour, but by the job. I thought the prices were fair and they had been about what I'd expected. In order that saved a few bucks, I obtained the Yelp Deal for the visit. Additionally, after my very first visit, they shipped me $50"bucks" to work with for my next visit, which is cool.
If you call McMahon, tell em you found them on Yelp! Additionally, Iwas really friendly and courteous and'd recommend asking for Chris, since he was a really gifted plumber. I was kind of expecting a grumpy plumber... for some reason I thought pipes were grumpy. But I was wrong!
I got my first home, a condominium at Back Bay Fens, and I realized my place needed, well, basically as pipes work as a condo could need a couple of days after living here. Faucets necessary to be substituted, shower was broken, water leak was slow, I'd no independent water shut away for unit, basically everything l needed a professional for.
If you live in the city, the plumbers of McMahon won't deny because there's no parking. I'm sure they will find a way.
I called a couple of areas that known as a location my realtor suggested, and had reviews on Yelp. Because it was in the CITY ALL OF THEM REFUSED to support my condominium, and parking was a problem. However told me to phone McMahon Plumbing at Hyde Park, so I did!
