The lock my apartment door stopped working and so they referred me. I perceived Steve to be short with me on the telephone -- probably why he rubs some people the wrong way -- but I immediately intuited that it's because he could diagnose your problem quickly if you simply answer his questions plainly and without expounding in your response with stuff that probably isn't relevant towards the solution.

After I realized I need to just answer his questions , without needing to send someone outside to look at it, Steve identified what was wrong and proposed that a solution -- the correct individual -- over the telephone. He was really interested in if his response was correct, so he said I could call back and let him know and then he'd send someone over, but he saved everybody a lot of time. This seems indicative to me of consideration and expertise -- two traits that I think most people are searching for when they're seeking locksmiths on Yelp.

Not only did they take on a difficult job they went above and beyond. I can not say enough good things about how determined they are that the task is done and you are satisfied. Everyone I encountered was courteous and professional, a more then fair price charges, and above all, they get the job done in a timely way. Would advocated for all your locksmith needs, the best!

Speedy Lock & Door saved me!!! They showed up in a timely manner, truly living up to their title, and allowed me access. Contrary to other locksmiths I have used in the past, Speedy doesn't utilize a"bait and switch" principal. The price I was quoted, was that the price. 5 star service!

I had a great encounter with Speedy Lock & Door two days! All the guys were great, Steve conducts a wonderful shop and the guys (such as Dwayne) were able to not cut off my keys but also make my day. Such a good job I introduced the following day for her secrets to a friend. Old-school NYC shop, they simply don't make'em like this anymore.

We had a key break off in our office door. It was an problem that is extremely time sensitive and I called Speedy with despair in my voice. The rate was reasonable and he had somebody there in 15 minutes- problem solved. Not certain what we would have done !!

I can not explain how harshly rude (fighting rude) that employee was--that I was ready to just get him out of my apartment and be done together. Zero integrity in their job. I never want to have to deal with these folks!
These folks ought to be OUT OF BUSINESS!
To begin with, the guy on the phone was a jerk and he sent over a jerk over to perform the job. I desired them to bring an extra lock on my door and they were able to install it crooked in a way that the door doesn't close correctly. On top of this, make the door shut at all and to cover their collapse, they decided to proceed and mutilated the aged lock which worked instead of fixing up their blunder. Now when it closes I will squeeze half my finger at the gap. Can you believe that this?? Every week I have neighbors knocking on my door, telling me because they do not know the door, my door didn't shut correctly is obscenely awakened. Give a metal cutter to anyone and they can do a better job! ANYONE!!
I have never dealt with such unprofessional, rude, shameless, and totally horrible support. I was better off before they worked on my door--they totally ruined my door and lock! And today be reminded of this terrible mess on a daily basis and I have to use regular to the door. So infuriating!

I happen to live a block and was a little lazy so I gave them a shot.
I was somewhat reluctant to use them given the reviews.
I wouldn't hesiate to use them
They were efficient, polite and nice , possibly they have several workers and that I had been blessed to find the mechanics in their team to my home, although I am not sure why some comments describe them too rude.
I changed the cylinder of my lock for a cost rather in accord with market costs (I checked) and fixed a problem in my primary lock fairly quickly and for a cheap price (Didn't try to sell me a brand new one...)

These guys are fantastic! They had been here in 20 minutes prepared to get me back to my apt (I forgot my keys). When they got here, I discovered that my maintenance guy might open the door for me personally instead, they were completely understanding! (I did give the guy $20 for his trouble).

I want to say something as an added remark about Steve: he can be testy, but actually we put our heads together awhile back to resolve what was be a (dual ) billing error - to their side, and also, OURS. Things proceeded smoothly, After everybody calmed down. We discovered the original work order was mis enabling it to languish in charging limbo. . .whereupon the goof became obvious. Bill paid. Done deal. As super of my building, needless to say I wish I'd learned of the error sooner, instead of 3 months later on. But all the same, thinking back to when the task was initially done: Speedy's guys arrived pronto (it was BTW the worst doorway in the home to malfunction - the outside lobby) The guys did everything in the simplest, most cost efficient way. That is a plus. And their store appears to have every sort of key and lock template. Ill will a most satisfactory result, although in the beginning. And that speaks nicely of Steve - his service focus, willingness to work out it instead of simply copping a'tude and hanging up in my ear. I'm really going there this morning to cut a new key to our email carrier. My cash and hope? Select Speedy!!!

Fantastic service! I called for an old Mortise Lock replacement, as I was having problems unlocking and locking my apartment door. They scheduled an appointment immediately (two days later) and came in a timely manner. Service was well-priced speedy, and excellent job.

Speedy Lock is the best! The team is pleasant, trustworthy and professional. They help us and with our company City CoPilot - ! I get advice on some of security requirements and our door and a great backup that works. Should you need a lock repaired or a secret copied - all these are the men!

Steve is the perfect example of school, good enterprise. He cares. He yet got somebody to come and change my locks within minutes!!!!, and had been understaffed today The man who arrived made it a speedy and painless experience, was friendly and efficient, and took ten minutes. This location is situated between my apartment and my bosses house and I plan to return for all of my lock and key needs!

I have used these guys for key making. They've been friendly and fast, even if the keys were a bit more exotic. Can't recommend them highly enough
