Worked with Jay (office) and Pete (Locksmith) to get an interior door lock and outside deadbolt installed. Pete did an superb job and vacuumed debris.
I telephoned regarding a Vespa that missed keys to steering column, glove box, and the seat. I inquired if I had to buy new locks & keys or if they had the ability to make keys that would fit the locks even though I did not have those keys. To my amazement I had been told just as long as I provided the right style key blanks they might make them work...I repeated how I did not think this was possible but that I was very happy that I did not have to drill the steering column lock and replace it. I ordered the keys from a business in Europe that has vintage Vespa key blanks. Over $50, they cost with transport. Now I finally had time (they're closed on weekends) to find the Vespa for their shop. Someone walked in and eventually helped me. I inquired if he had been the one I talked to in June about Vespa keys? He explained,"maybe". Would you recall the conversation, I asked? He explained,"no more". Were not know when he had been serious or if he was trying to imitate Chris Griffin. So I clarified the dialog. He told me,"we can not cut keys with no original." I answered,"I specifically told you (possibly ), or somebody else that the circumstance and even replicated how stunned I was that you could cut keys with no original. Perhaps he had been daydreaming? I explained I wouldn't have spent $50 on key blanks when he (possibly ) or another person I talked to had just said they had a first key. Again, nothing. Needless to say, spending my money at that institution in the long run or not advocating.
