I won't hesitate to phone them again when I have any HVAC or plumbing problems later on. The reviews do not lie!
I had and called a few places that were rated here on Yelp. Akian was the very first to phone me back and also gave me a one-hour window on Monday afternoon (1 hour window?!?!) .

I called multiple times to let them know about my disappointment and was advised by Akian that since I agreed to purchase the faucet they chose, I should be accountable for the choice I made. As somebody with zero clue in these things, I needed to rely upon their experience. Nevertheless, when it turned out that the experience isn't so"professional", they are trying to wiggle out of the obligation. They once offered anything to correct the circumstance. Over $400 wasted. Extremely frustrated.
Allow me to start off by stating that I never write reviews that are bad. I don't wish to hurt anyone's business. Akian came out to fix a kitchen faucet that was leaking. They recommended replacing the faucet along with old pipes. I had a filter connected to the faucet and also the technicians SAW IT. They picked a faucet out and showed me a photo on their website. Turned out the faucet is TOO CLOSE to the sink with the filter. I need to"duck under" the faucet as a way to clean.

I was planning to give them 4 stars but what dropped after having them come once. I was not only advised by them at a time frame that I took off for but failed to show up until pm. The work was discounted by them once they left my heating and air conditioning didn't get the job done although they performed. It's been 3-4 months and I have called back around left voicemails and 3 days but they appear to be dodging me. We're only interested in making a buck off somebody who needed their services although don't be tricked by yelp evaluations they seemed interested in assisting me. Now I would like them to fix my problem but wouldn't expect them to. The thing was.

Really like these guys & gals. Incredibly helpful with a Toto toilet and very knowledgeable full skirted chair change. Would call them again in a heartbeat. Great company.

These men were great, particularly the proprietor Steve who went above and beyond to research. Communications were prompt and professional and invoices provided at time of service. Job will definitely utilize Akian again and well done.

Reading the reviews, I wondered if this company would live up to the hype...I am happy to report that they did! This would have been a 5 star review but for a few hiccups in scheduling, follow up and my technician wasn't in covered booties (but dirty sneakers) while repairing my toilet. Sure, I'm being a bit picky. 2 plumbing co's with failed to have a strategy for my issue I met - Akian resolved my issue and needed a strategy. For that, I use them if desired and will refer
(but hopefully at an non-emergency situation;-RRB-).

I was really optimistic with all the fantastic reviews and a positive initial interaction, but then there was a last minute cancellation of an appointment (it happens), followed by somebody coming and saying they would have the part to repair our shower in a few weeks. That was in July. I am still waiting. I reached out to ask about whether the part was ordered or coming, and the time was told someone would get back to me. The time responded. I proceeded on to another firm that got the job.

ORIGINAL REVIEW service. I had an issue with my unit, same day and they arrived. I managed to organize it all. Service tech was very educated and knew the problem and everything to do. And he explained each step to me Wouldn't hesitate to work with them.
UPDATE: I was satisfied with the support and repair work, however their diagnosis was that my machine needs a repair job or a install which I am open to. Now although I asked for an estimate can not even get a callback or text response. They showed promise and talked a fantastic game in the beginning, but ultimately didn't follow through. Not certain what happened, but it's disappointing.
UPDATE: They possess the task scheduled and finally got back to me.

Stephen was the first plumber to react to my hysterical shout for help after my spouse dropped a huge pot of mung beans (random) to our garbage disposal....and it stopped working. The handfuls of garbage that I pulled out of there did not help the situation, so we knew we needed a professional.
When he came, it was clear that the garbage disposal was replacement although Initially, Stephen believed we might be able to fix it. I given the erosion and the man or woman who came to mend it stated he was shocked that it still worked, was thankful for this since it was leaking. They'd brought a garbage disposal if so it was taken care of on the spot.
All that you will need to know is this business is dependable, friendly, non-toxic (again: mung beans? , and quick. Price was on par with market prices.

Well worth the cash. Would 100% recommend.
Fantastic encounter all around. I submitted a quotation request through yelp and they called me . The guy on the phone did a phenomenally comprehensive job understanding what our issue was (leaking shower and bathtub faucet), and they had a person available the next day.
The plumber who came out was great - really knew his stuffdiagnosed the issue within 15 minutes, knew which components he needed to get, whole thing was fast, painless, and most of all effective. Leak is gone!

I made 3 messages along with a text within the span of two weeks to ask about getting my central air unit checked out before turning it around for the season. It's been 4 days since my first call and no one has achieved. Guess who lost my business!

Over the telephone, Alex (one of the mangers) provides me a quick rundown of what could be the issue and he informs me he could get someone out to my place the following day and provides me with a 3 hour window. Service call scheduled in under 24 hours. Amazing.
I tell him in case they can't get in contact with the 1st man, to please call this man. You understand, as backup. Will do.
30 minutes Bill reaches to me to let me know he's on his way. Lots of time to get organized. Perfect.
Willing to settle the bill over the telephone and within 60 minutes get support call outline and email receipt . Professionalism, responsiveness and technology. Easy as 123.
The brief: Quick to respond to support inquiry, difficulty, able to organize next day service telephone and in depth explanation supplied.
Next time, I won't even bother checking Yelp for testimonials. I'll just call Akian.

Fantastic customer seemingly accepting calls until 10PM and adventures across the plank. I had my doubts, probably an answering services. Contact and receive their voicemail. I'm a message. A number that is 2nd is also mentioned by voicemail. Call the number that is 2nd and leave a voicemail. Thinking to myself probably not going to find a response tonight so tomorrow I'll send them an email also and hope to here.

The long: Had an issue with the water pressure in my own kitchen sink on a Thursday at 4:40PM. Jump on yelp to get an notion of what I might expect with a new one and to have a look at the experiences people have had with my old plumber that I hadn't utilized in a while. Apparently, 99% of plumbers in the area close at 4PM (maybe not 5PM or even 6PM when most people get home and become aware of a issue and/or have time to actually call a plumber)
Receive a little while later to a call from Bill: All here is it was fixed by me and what the issue was using the kitchen sink. I went beyond the call of duty and checked out the bathroom sink. By the way, the identical thing was starting to occur so I took care of that. Care to detail.

Their staff came out to assist we can do some work to the walls behind them temporarily remove some radiators when we moved to our new home in Newton.
This review is long overdue. I've used Akian for many plumbing calls and every time they have met or exceeded my own expectations.
If there are any issues. . .they are those whom I trust to tackle them.
When our leasing properties in Watertown had issues pop up (water heaters that had reached their end of life, leaky shower taps, etc.) they ALWAYS responded very quickly.

I was new to home ownership and had no clue how to fix things and each time that I had an" crisis" they showed up right out to help and are very reliable.

Quick, courteous service. Plumbers worked fast and efficiently and showed up on time. Will be using them again.

Bill, of Akian Plumbing, only left my house. I was satisfied with the service of Akian which I wished to sit down and write a review. From the instant that I called I obtained updates and texts about my service and had been treated professionally. Bill came at my door and put booties that my flooring wouldn't get dirty. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone asked me to text him a picture of my faucet, and Bill had every part that he needed to save time and me cash on the fix. Our plumber secretary said this day he would call. He called. So Bill, at Akian Plumbing arrived at the rescue. He clarified that technicians simply say throw that sink . . But he repaired it and we are happy to have our sink working again. Three other pipes emailed that they didn't work on these sinks.
Very lucky to have Bill.

We had a tough ask so we could match our washer and dryer to move our combi-boiler in an place. Steve came out and spent with the various answers being discussed by me on a Friday evening. The day before the project, he reached out saying his team had a solution that would save time and money. Shawn (technician) came out and had all wrapped up in 1.5 days at half the original quote. He was able to move all the copper piping farther than anticipated, giving us ample space under the staircase to put our washer and dryer. I would recommend Steve and his staff . In the very first meeting to the end of the project was going as planned. It is wonderful to find.

I achieved to six plumbers and these guys got back to me, but were very prompt. I had a flow from an unkown origin in my ceiling, and they were on site the next day. The plumber needed my leak repaired in a hour. We have and we will definitely be using them again.
