We have used them twice so far, and both times they were not only on time but ancient ! They were qualified, friendly, professional, quick, and got the job!
Gas Line Sediment Trap modification $65 - There is no modification needed the trap will transfer from 1 unit to another. The cost should be included from the water heater installation as you cannot perform the installation.
I received an estimate from APD. The quote was to have my water heater. The quote didn't include the cost of the water heater or the installation labour cost to be paid by FAHW. I analyzed APD's quote and found a total out-of-pocket expense of $747.00, which APD alleged was demanded for modifications of my present relations and"Code Upgrades". *Note* APD neglected to supply an estimate to the water heater installation and didn't supply a comprehensive estimate for your job.
APD attempted to charge me the following:
No modification is required.
Expansion Tank installation for"code" $250 - While this is a good practice it's not required for code unless your house includes a pressure regulator or check valve system to the primary water line, that mine does not.
My own water heater was scrutinized by APD and determined it required replacement. I asked APD provide a written quote for the repair cost to me. Additionally, I asked APD provide me with a quote to have the water heater changed to a tankless unit. APD said they'd have an estimate accessible within 48 hours.
Cold Water Line and hot modification $195 - The water heater includes flex lines, which do not require modification for installation of the water heater. A smaller or larger unit will be easily accommodated by the lines.
I'm not your ordinary house owner; I have a background in building, plumbing, and electrical. So, when I reviewed the quote, all sorts of red flags popped up! The water heater change is a direct replacement, same dimensions, exactly the same BTU. The Flu includes a 3' bend point, the water lines are flex lines, the gas line is a bend point, the water heater is at the Garage, and the house was constructed in 2005.
Stress Relief Line modification $75 - The line installed and must be removed for the water heater. The cost should be included from the water heater installation as you cannot perform the installation.
Earth Quake Strap modification $95 - When the water heater has been removed the straps will need to be readjusted but no modification is necessary. The cost should be included from the water heater installation as you cannot perform the installation.
Pan installation for"code" $95 - The installation of a pan is not required for code. The water heater is not sitting on a raised base (timber subfloor), is not located inside, and is not found on a second story.
I asked a payout to the water heater installation and installed and telephoned FAHW itself. FAHW would have compensated APD an additional $450.00 for the water heater installation on top of the $747.00 I would have been charged.
American Plumbing and Drain (APD), also Called American Plumbing and Drain Cleaning has been delivered to my home by First American Home Warranty (FAHW). Prior to the ceremony, I received a call and told them that my water heater leaked from the tank. I already knew it'd require replacement. As standard procedure, an inspection on behalf of FAHW has been demanded.
This guy is plumbers get a title, preying to you to your emergency repair and lack of knowledge.
Because the water plumbing does not supply a path A bonding strap to the water line is useless.
Request a firm if any home warranty or FAHW tells you they're sending APD.
Gas Valve replacement for"code" $36 - no problem
Water Heater Disposal $95 - No problem
A used car salesman's plumbing equivalent. Though, a used car salesman might actually have better integrity...
Toilet has odor from the bowl. This business was sent by home warranty company. They couldn't find the origin of the odor. He left with out charging us. I believed because he didn't ask for money we were great and he had not been able to find the source of the odor. When I found out we were being charged, I asked for them to ship out another plumber to find out whether they could find the origin of the odor. They declined to ship out another representative. (They said they didn't have a distinct representative) So if a septic system is causing smells from your bathrooms. I suggest picking a company that is different. 75 bucks were spent by me and don't have anything to show for it. Once I really get it repaired, I shall leave another review.
He arrived and wasted no time identifying the issues , he spoke through it so I knew exactly how he was going to fix it and why it had to be repaired that way (taps issue along with a washer drain difficulty ). He quoted me what I believed to be a price for the industry. Then he said"I give you my word" and the crazy part is I believed him.
Work is complete and I think the regions are really cleaner he worked from when he started. I paid up and I did the bravest thing in my entire life up to that point (and I spent 5 years in the Stan), I shaked hands with a plumber! It wasnt so bad (and I have lava soap and disinfectant)
Work is underway, he is careful not to make a wreck and its it is obvious he knows what he is doing, motion or not a wasted move as he handles his tools. I try to remain out of this way as I spy from round the corner.
One of my friends/nieghbors refered to Derrick me. Just that he texted and he was flexible with scheduling and told me exactly what time I should anticipate him. Then he texted when he had been on his way. So far so good.
This is update of my review. There wasn't anything wrong, as I told in the inspection. As for today, the issue with the payment is solved. Derrick strove to do his very best to solve it and was really helpful. It was that something went wrong in exchange between the supplier the insurance provider and me. The insurance didn't wish to listen to me once Derrick stepped in and provided the paperwork went great. The bottom line: the company deserves a rating because of their ability to solve any kinds of issues. Thank you!
Derrick came out and did an Awesome job. If you have some work please telephone him. The customer service is Awesome and his job was just Awesome.
Thank you!
Fantastic Service: fixed the issue while explaining the steps/process and went directly to the matter.
Customer Support: has been positive and courteous.
Fantastic communication: scheduled moment that worked with my schedule, confirmed appointment, courtesy text on day of appointment, call from plumber (Derrick) that he was running a bit early to affirm that coming earlier could work.
On time but unfinished/incomplete service supplied per House Warranty. Not recommended.
They guy did the job just fine. But I paid $80 cash because he didn't have change(to get a 65 service charge ) that day because he explained the credit card machine was down. I have an invoice like today for $65 because the guy never claimed that I had given it to him. He didn't give us a copy....Don't trust them!!! I called American Plumbing the woman that answered the telephone FINALLY was impolite and yelling at me, she didn't want to give me the owners name (I found it online on my own) and she wrapped up in my head when I asked her fore her name.... THIS COMPANY looks to have had this complaint This Isn't OVER. .
Like I told the owner Merry Christmas & Happy New Year for $80 plus a COOKIE....hope it had been worth it!!
So UPDATE... the owner (DERRICK )calls me back WITH ATTITUDE because the woman said that I was the one yelling at her - what happened to hearing and listening to the customer?!!!! After all of the back and on he says"I will waive the service fee" I don't care about the ceremony fee its more about STEALING and telling me nicely it had been signed.... That ceremony guy could have marked anything he wanted!!! When I asked him if it was the exact same guy that STOLE from the other customer 2 weeks afterwards... From how he answered I can tell that was a YES.... I'm submitting it business you have bad business practices!!!! Professional Business isn't what it use to be. .
There aren't enough stars to say that the degree of service and quality I received with Drain & American Plumbing. I recently bought a very old house, that had just been remodeled ("flipped") and I had called a potential drainage issue during escrow and had been led to believe it was fixed... Regrettably whatever"fix" was made was temporary and our entire plumbing system immediately backed up after we moved in. To add insult to injury, the house didn't have a cleanout set up, so nothing would be covered by our home warranty company.
I received a number of bids, and spoke with both big national chains several companies and local companies. It had been clear that the people so were going to be the contractors to your job, and at American Pipes both knew what they were doing. I can not stress this enough - it is hard to maintain a situation in which you need a task done you don't totally understand and can not do yourself and knowing that you're working with a company that isn't trying to make the most of you're such unbelievable peace of mind.
Equally Derricks made my job a priority and so were fantastic to use, although it was a job. They made themselves readily available at off hours to help the situation, and worked to help make my house liveable again. They're also genuinely pleasant people who care about the work and the people they're serving, which is what really sets them - this maintenance shows in the work. I can't thank them enough!
Had an appointment from and because I didn't call back to affirm I was home, my appointment was cancelled by them. I had advised them when they place the appointment that I operate out of home. Now they could not accomodate and have no appointments. Today, I am stuck using a clogged sink until another plumbing company can be found by the home warranty company or might have to scramble to find somebody to come out.
So for an upgrade I phoned plumbing to ask home warranty was billed that I was told the job wouldn't be covered by said warranty and when nothing had been done. I was informed by the receptionist that anytime they set foot on your property you will be billed by them. If no work is done. So I will be following up with company. Charging a customer without even informing them of, for doing nothing stated charges is erroneous. And bothersome
These guys suck
My wife and I gave up on Fidelity National Home Warranty and these guys care of this job they did after plenty of time for them to react. 2 weeks after our"service" when we started putting things back under the sink where they"gave" us a dreadful fitting faucet we discovered that we had water beneath there. No issues under the sink until American Plumbing came and"assisted us".
& unprepared, unprofessional! My first experience was with Derrick and that he appeared to understand what he do. Additional appointment was need, Derrick was verified but Bill came in his position... didn't read his notes, which that he showed up unprepared to do the job. Called the workplace, woman was very rude. Don't use them!!!
Another"Whoo Hoo! As good as it gets UPDATE!
When I said in my previous review I would never use anyone else but Derrick I meant it. My disposal had froze up as well as using this wouldn't loosen up so I phoned American Plumbing. He did accommodate my program to be the final call of the day on a Friday while he couldn't come out for 48 hours. He arrived 5 minutes early and predicted outside 15 minutes.
The main point is that American Pipes and Derrick genuinely deserve all the company as he's honest, dependable and everything you desire a vendor to be you can give him. I repeat, I will never use another plumber or drain cleaner.
Much to my embarrassment, Derrick took his tool and"unstuck" the Entry and had it running about 15 minutes and turned to leave and told me to have a great day without asking for any payment whatsoever!! He said he couldn't justify charging me when he it only took moments and the (right) tool he left with me. Who does this today?
I would, if I could give 10 stars! This man is a plastic! He came over, gave us the diagnosis then had it all fixed in like 20 minutes. Derrick was genuinely our service tech knowledgeable & genuine. We are very grateful to have American Pipes on our speed dial. I would recommend this company to anyone searching for a plumber that is fantastic!
These guys changed the hot water heater in my Home they Obtained a License to do the work and did not do a Last Review so now 3 years after I go to the License department to get a License to do some electrical work and they Won't give me a License because American Pipes did not have their work Scrutinized and until they Solve their License problems the city of Citrus Heights Will Not give me a License to Move with my electrical Job the city and myself both Known as American Plumbing they say it's not their problem horrible customer service says the boss will be calling but Won't give me his name or phone number
They man did the work just fine. However, I paid money that day to him. I have an invoice for $65 cus. Don't trust them
I had a terrific encounter with derick. HE EVEN WORE BLUE BOOT COVERS!! Now thats the mint on the pillow. Thanks AMERICAN PLUMBING!! His team and derick are friendly and knowlegeable. He gave me dint and options attempt to sell me on anything I didnt need. He had been on time. . big plus!!
I have used multiple times to this company . As a Realtor we all encounter it. Because he is a pro and very trustworthy my customers does disappoint. They are called by if you're interested in finding a plumber that is great! They're the
