In my experience, in the sea of (criminally) terrible HVAC companies in northern NJ, whose starting point is always to attempt selling whole new installments, Argent has shown fair and productive.
Having used them multiple times over time, they are not the cheapest plumbing and hvac company, but they arrive fast, do not attempt to up-sell and fix the issue. Being an engineer, when I have questioned the details about a component replacement, they really explain, in verifiable detail, precisely what and why of their recommend course of action (meaning their people are in fact trained rather than just randomly swapping out logic boards and detectors, or trial & error recapping).
So my response was obtained by me . It is amazing to me how Argent Plumbing & Heating spun their response to accommodate them miss diagnosing the problem. My"plumber" friend is actually a retired Master Plumber who installed the device. Nothing was"rewired or jumped" to be able to get it functioning. It is a shame so as to validate their mistake they need to lie.
I utilize or would never recommend them. I am posting me personally the BBB response that they receive from Argent's Owner. Pretty miserable they had my 250.00 & would control the true truth.
Shame how poor their customer support is for a repeat client trying to construct a longterm relationship. Because customers are not valued by them, do not recommend them.
Argent never responded to a number of emails. Irony is we spoke about potential projects like new tankless at length, including HVAC zone bathtub remodel.
Had Argent do a small plumbing job this summer. Work was descent, had to correct a few problems, and price had been on the end but fair.
Ironically their team left an expensive tool and I returned to the office.
Called to have an estimate for a few HVAC work. Cost looks much higher so requested for clarification (I.e. man hours, substance record ect...)
Had a clogged drain bathtub full of water. Called Argent and has been informed of ETA that was estimated in one hour. Claud called to verify his arrival. Claud pleasant, was professional and fixed the problem. Would highly recommend Argent and Claud.
My 92-year-old father lost heat. Argent Plumbing told him it might cost $15,000 to set up a new boiler and arrived. The serviceman left without any attempt perform any repairs or to restart the boiler. As a result, the home has been unheated for 24 hours. I phoned another plumber who reasoned and came and inspected the boiler was a circulator for the porch. The two circulators which heat the main house were fine. He declared the boiler and heat returned to the property. The next day A fix to the porch circulator has been completed. Argent plumbing intentionally left the boiler off putting my dad's health in danger. I can imagine they did this in order to compel the choice. This is a business practice on their part or at the very least unbelievably negligent.
Argent did an oil to gas conversion, and I could not have been more happy. The guys were clean, neat and considerate. The job has been clean and complete in 1 day. What more would you ask? They were also the very best price that I got for the job. I recommend wholeheartedly.
Sewer lines that are old are meant by an old home and that induced us to come across a backup of sewer in the cellar in our utility sink. I called they and Argent were fast to respond. The men discovered the issue and scoped the line. We had to replace the line in the home to suppress. From begin to finish, the men were knowledgeable, hard working, and friendly. They worked to fix that also and saw a leak, while fixing the lineup. Another possible disaster prevented. Both within the home and outdoors, the men replaced and repaired with minimal harm. And when completed, they cleaned up. I have to really thank the folks that worked outside who were cautious to replant shrubbery and rebrick the walkway. I am truly impressed with just how hard they workedout. Like any other repair one can only expect to never have to take action. But concerning this experience, I highly suggest them.
Argent Plumbing has performed work within my house and business and I find them to be courteous and prompt whether for an emergency or scheduled job. From the time they arrive to when the project is completed they are always knowledgeable, professional and honest in their approach. I have never had any issues I've been really satisfied with their job and would highly recommend them and have used them for small and big jobs, they are actually very best. From scheduling an appointment they provide excellent customer service! Professional, courteous!
