Another plumber was called by me for a second opinion. When they came, the first thing they did was check the toilet and said it had been loose. They had been leaking for a while and said it wasn't tight. They said I had to receive my floors replaced and tightened down it. They asked how long it had been because the toilet was seated. I advised them 4-5 years, because that's when I had it replaced when I purchased the house. I had forgotten that Scroggins had pulled it to work on the sewer back up in February. I told them what the plumber said concerning the toilet leaking never being tightenet down and called Scroggins back. Scroggins said that wasn't why they came for the service call, and there was not any way to prove that's what caused it. For starters he didn't even check to determine if the toilet was tight if he came, because it's been over 90 days and he didn't stand behind his job.
I came home from vacation and also the floor around the toilet was soft and wet. I called Scroggins pipes and had them come out. He gave me quotes to replace the subfloor, floors, and pulling and resetting the toilet. He didn't check to find out if the toilet was loose, he felt the flooring.
In February of this year, I had Scroggins pipes come for an issue I was having with sewer back up. They ran a snake through flooring tube and pulled on the toilet inside, and follicles were removed by them . This didn't solve the problem, so they had to replace the clean out pipe. They fixed the problem and worked nonstop in the rain.
Their first price was greater. About five minutes later I was contacted by scroggins Plumbing and we made a deal. Their tech, Tim, was fantastic! The project was completed in a brief period of time and their work area was cleaned up by them. I am happy with the work I received.
