Three hours after, I get a call from Steve telling me that everything is taken care of and working perfectly. I move home to examine, and it is working. He had a guy that happened to reside close to me and they got it done before I could grab dinner, although I was hoping to wait at least a couple of days. Quite impressed by the customer service, response time, and affordable rates. Will be calling them I've plumbing or HVAC issues.
I kept getting clogged and gave Steve a call at because one of my bathrooms wasn't properly flushing. He gave a quote for every possible scenario on-the-fly to me, and I asked him to proceed with anything it takes. After hanging out, I texted him my name, address, and telephone number.
They destroyed his ceiling of mending a drain escape, over 2 repairs. Four weeks after the second fix he sees water all over his floor and comes home. His beautiful ceiling he'd mended twice, destroyed again.
Terrible terrible terrible. I recommend them after looking them up.
I am devastated for my brother in-law and his family at the moment.
Please please Steve go out of business for the sake of clients here in Atlanta who have endured from you.
If I could give this business -1000 stars I would! This provider is a complete farce! Working with them was a complete nightmare! We had 2 little leaks in our ceiling downstairs & called them to diagnose & fix the issue. It was on the floor floor & Steve assured us that they could also place the sheetrock back in & sand it to where it would seem like"nothing had happened", as in order to diagnose they'd need to cut a gap in our sheetrock. Greg came out & wrongly recognized the issue, as after his"job" &"repair," another day we'd 14 escapes in our ceiling!!!! We predicted Steve & he & JJ came out the following day to"fix" the issue that Greg created. JJ & Steve said that Greg had misdiagnosed & hence created a larger problem, but assured us that they had"fixed" the matter. Subsequently & JJ was supposed to place mud the ceiling & the sheetrock back up was left by Steve. He spent HOURS there & had very thick outlines where he'd cut to our sheetrock (please do yourself a favor & look at all the pics because you just won't believe that this is real). He kept telling me that if I simply paint on the lines I won't find them (he should think I look like a fool). I kept telling him that it seems horrible & that he needs to fix it. He used an electric sander with no plastic to secure our house & furniture, which left our WHOLE downstairs covered in white dust--we needed to deep clean absolutely everting downstairs such as our couch, drapes etc. (again, please see the pictures which I'm posting because you will be absolutely shocked!) . After many, many hours no advancement from the sheetrock JJ left. It seemed horrible (again please look at pics). We predicted a painting & sheetrock business to repair our ceiling. They advised us that JJ did not even have the brand new piece that he put back in large enough, as there was approximately a 1.5 inch wide & 12 inch bit long of just pure sand within our ceiling (not attached to some sheetrock as he did not cut it the proper size)--Again, please see pics of the to believe it. JJ had left other junk within our ceiling & wet paper towels. And this is from a guy who told me he had 20 years' worth experience in sheetrock repair & mudding (yeah right! What a liar--I do not believe the guy had done this before!) . So we paid this other company to redo our ceilings again to fix the mess JJ, Greg, & Steve made --we needed to repaint our entire downstairs ceiling (living room & kitchen). . .and what do you know?! Our plumbing problem is back again as another escape popped back up. To say that we're irate & livid is such an understatement! JJ & Steve & Greg told me they are plumbers but I really question the validity of that since they clearly can not only repair the issue, they just exacerbated the problems! This is the company to call if you'd like nightmare & a mess! As a side note also --as you browse with other testimonials --Steve will quote you a fee but then after the job is done, will find"reasons" to go considerably higher. He can not be trusted on many levels.
1) They misdiagnosed the matter and replaced a pressure valve that I suspect was functioning.
Here are the reasons I gave star to them:
I find the source of the water leak that is outdoor and dig round the lawn. I purchase the issue to be fixed by several components Amazon and buy some parts and turn the water off in the water meter. Steve sends a man out a couple of days later and I am told by them that they need to replace the line about 200 feet away. The parts I purchased arrive that evening and I fix the leak. Of the components in total cost me less than $40.
They're dishonest, incompetent , insanely overpriced, and impolite. I will absolutely not ever use their services .
3) A quote for replacing an whole line when all I needed was a line patch.
4) After notifying Steve that I no longer needed his services, he leaves me a very nasty voicemail.
2) I suspect that they dialed up the pressure valve and messed with all the expansion tank pressure so the hot water heater would begin leaking.
About a month later, my water bill is still sky high. I appear in the cellar and is currently leaking. I look at the valve and it's still dry. I then look outside the house, and see water. I call up Steve and he said it would be 2 days until they can get there to consider the issue. Since I can not wait that long, I then look up a few videos on YouTube and figured out I had an outside water line leak.
.
He and called Steve sent out a man to fix a leak the water company said I'd. Guy tells my wife that the water pressure valve regulator was the the issue shows up and replaced it for $375. I wasn't there to speak to the man not much that I really could do, although I thought it was odd since there wasn't any leaking within the house at which the valve was. The man was working alright and also mentioned about the water heater, that wasn't that old. I thought that was odd.
After my pilot light went outside, I called several companies and my Nest thermostat would not work. All said 1-2 week wait. . .Steve answered the phone and had his tech over the morning! They diagnosed and fixed the issue, no issues. If problems arise, will call again.
I wouldn't ever use this company! We had a couple of months of annoyance with them. Summer time unit is put in by them and it was working fine. They ask us to provide a recommendation. Afterwards the heat turned on for winter that's when our problems began. The unit kept reversing from air and heat. Steve sent the man to repair it and he kept making matters worse. I HAD to call him to get him to come check out it. Honestly the entire time I had to call him. I was more the boss then he was. After a switchboard and two thermostats it worked okay. Now we don't get air upstairs and the MOST important is they never hooked back up a vital piece of equipment. This job turned into a joke and I did not want to write this but there are still so many difficulties with our AC system. A bonus I'd Steve hold a payment to be certain it'd do the job after. He took it out. No call to inform us!!!
The good: I called Steve on a Friday morning with an emergency - water leaked through the floor to the room from your kitchen sink below. He had someone there in a few hours that fixed the leak and recognized.
Not so good: As a part of the repair, a hole must be cut in the drywall ceiling of the room. As it needed to dry before it could be repaired, it took a return trip. I had been told they could return the next week to spot it up - this was not a issue. After a number of calls over two weeks with no commitment I hired somebody to do the work. And although minding the hole wasn't a crisis some would have been valued to know that I was on the radar.
In summary, fantastic job fixing the issue, not so good with all the cleanup.
5) July 2nd: After repeatedly calling, Steve finally answered the phone, also suggested he could be at our house no later than 6pm because he had a big project in Buford. He showed up, and didn't return my calls. Again, this reflects the down-side working - man firm like this.
After many calls , he could be at our house no later than 4pm, also finally returned my phone around noon , only to mention he was tied up with the big job in Buford. When I called about 4:30, Steve suggested he will be there no later than 6pm. Craig got that night. He was honest enough to acknowledge that he didn't unclog the drain line. He says it has now been done correctly.
4) June 30thWe discovered from a leak in the ceiling which Craig had not fixed the problem! Thus, I called Steve. His initial reaction was unsatisfactory - that is, he insisted that the task was done correctly and it needed to be because of my"old house". The house was constructed in the 90's. He said he couldn't come out to the weekend, so it might have to wait until Monday Once I insisted that he needs to come back and fix the problem which we paid him . This lack of availability is your down-side of working using a one-man company like this.
All of the way disappointed . The firms' benefits is that the cost is company, you understand what it's upfront, and also, if anything goes wrong with their work, they have a big enough team to send someone out the following or same day.
2) June 28th: Craig come out to my home to fix the repairs. Among the problems we had was a flow from the pan, coming from condensate drain line.
3) June 29thI compensated Steve the balance due. Seeing costs, I would not recommend him for the following experience: 1) Steve wasn't upfront about prices (i.e., a $75 service call) - I have since found out that companies often use the service fee to the work done; two ) the reduction he had indicated when we spoke wasn't reflected on the bill (i.e., because there were 3 components, he was going to discount two of them to the tune-up); and 3) his prices were REALLY large, i.e., it was $89 for the A/C tune-up which didn't include an air filter. An extra $25 charged for each air filter! I have since found out that other businesses don't do that.
This summer I discovered this business on Yelp. I would NOT recommend this firm based on the experiences I'd:
I got errors from my unit and was listing my condominium. The HVAC wasn't working and had closed off. Not great when trying to sell your house. They calmed down me and I called Buckhead Plumbing, came over and fixed the matter. They took the opportunity to perform an entire service and make sure any review before a sale could be perfect. I completely recommend them! Great support. Owner even texted me later to make sure that I was satisfied.
Reasonably priced, highly Recommended, Reliable, Efficient service. Two costs were in my scope. He reached out to me daily to see if I'd gotten anybody to replace my unit and reassured me I'd be satisfied. Steve dropped his price to make sure he managed to get my small business. As stated and the work exceeded my standards, he was in the website. He ensured I obtained quality pics of this work 19, since I was unable to come to the website. It's evident that they enjoy the work they do as it is a representation of the provider. I was ensured by him when I had any problems that they had been only a phone call away if it was for repair, plumbing, electric, or the unit. He also made sure I knew all about my warranty. Great job Steve and his team.
Out of the cost of Steve was fair/affordable, he was prepared to work with me. He was very reassuring. He was consistent and answered my questions . Replacing these kinds of things are extremely expensive and I went back and on deciding on who to do this project with. Steve was available gave me alot of advice, was friendly and patient. He worked with me that the project was affordable and he was thinking of doing business. They installed my new A/C unit, the group was professional and very considerate. They cleaned up in which they functioned (big deal to me personally ) and checked in occasionally to update me on the undertaking. I have a few jobs with my house and I will be in touch . .thank you!!!! :D
After two weeks of researching and about 10 contractors/estimates after, I decided to go with I Buckhead Plumbing & HVAC. To be honest, I was apprehensive--very professional, colorful and engaging advertisements, clean/professional page with alot of certification...I believed,"they are going to be super expensive!"
I recommend and would use the business for plumbing and HVAC repairs. My air conditioner stopped blowing and Steve shipped my device to be outside serviced by Craig. The device was 17 years old and after comparing the cost and options, a heater was required. . I had had major plumbing job done by Estes and when Steve and I spoke about the plumbing repair he quoted a cost of a little more than 1000 bucks less then I paid! I wish I would have discovered this business.
Craig and Thank you Steve to get a job well done!
Steve came out for both AC and heating services and he had been able to help!
I highly recommend because of his support and knowledge.
Can not recommend this company enough. I've used them to fix drains & clogged pipes, they finished most recently replaced furnace and our ac system, & a tricky dishwasher setup. They are quick to react and schedule the repair. They do a great job and are extremely professional. There's not much these guys can't perform. Call them ASAP!
The group installed a new water heater in my flat. Very fast response (the quickest from all), effective communications through email and text, acceptable price, extremely livelihood and clean installation. Job in general. I am surprised to see reviews.
Yeah; they're in Buckhead, so I'd expect them to charge more, but I believe not. So between the laziness and the cost, I won't be calling Buckhead again.
Depending on the reviews on Yelp, I called also two other highly-rated plumbers for an estimate and Buckhead on running a gas line into my gas grill. The other two gave me estimates and came out. Both were around $600.00. Buckhead was too lazy to come out and look, so that they gave me an estimate over the telephone, after asking me lots of questions. Their estimate? They said it would cost"about" $1000.00,"but it could go to $1300.00!
I came home in June on a Friday afternoon to find the AC in my home had gone out and the temperatures had climbed to 87 degrees. My dog was struggling and that I was impossible after calling at least 12 firms -- none who might get for another couple of days to me. He was working around 1 mile from my home and lucky for me and was able to squeeze in. Within an hour Steve and Craig had me up and running with air pumping. . .they were also able to provide me great options to replace my unitbut I didn't feel pressured. Really delighted with their service.
Buckhead Plumbing substituted two water Heaters for me personally, together with moving an outdoor water spigot to make it more accessible and repairing a shower head. They did an superb job. Both Jason and Will were professional and educated. They explained what they needed to do before doing this, and answered any questions I had. They fixed a gate in my front yard at no cost. I will definitely use them for any plumbing requirements. They are highly recommended by me.
I sent quotes online on Sunday Dec/27/2015, Steve give me the best and clear price quote for stress test of my gasoline line. And on Tuesday(Dec/29/2015) that I DO EMAILED him mentioned my gas meter is locked so I have to start from stress evaluation and he reacted me he'll be at my location around 1pm-3pm on Wednesday.
So essentially he used quote to make a schedule and after two days he said sorry it can't be fixed by me. He do attempted by talking another tech who will do the job to fix this, but I was told by the guy no matter I won't have gasoline until the week!
Experts: Steve is responsive, speak favorable, and emails! And later he made a mistake he do try to fix the issue.
I also tried to schedule another companies but can fix it on account of this time that I lost with him. I have to relish the chilly, rainy 2016 brand new year without gas (no more HVAC, no hot water, no cooking.)
I said it is understandable I can wait patiently. Around 3:45pm he not showing up so I decide to phone back, and he tell me he can't come today.... With a jolt, he continued stating he can't do the pressure evaluation since my meter been locked on!
He do jobs that were great, however and he is a wonderful guy, he ruins my new year.
We've got 5 kids at home when it got really cold out, and our furnace stopped. All winter couldn't have occurred before the hot spells we've gotten! It got down to 58 degrees inside our property, and after calling several other HVAC firms without a response (over two cold days) I got an email after midnight saying that Buckhead HVAC may be out early the next day. Craig also did a thorough inspection to try and locate a glimmer of hope to repair it and showed up right on time, no luck, our furnace was dead.
Steve called to let me know that if they could get the furnace functioning it had to be replaced and that it was harmful for my family and back up. He was very nice about breaking the cost down and explaining my options. When I began crying about the cost he did hang me up! We scheduled a replacement and again Craig was the next day, outside right on time. From the end of the day we had a new furnace, so it was hot and toasty when my kids went to bed that night and the whole experience was so easy and agreeable. Steve and Craig were great to use, professional friendly and kind. I can't recommend Buckhead HVAC enough.
