In the very first couple moments we noticed David had experience and knowledge than the others. Within the hour he located 3 holes in our plumbing in different places! At one place there was a section of mostly-rusted-away rebar extending through both sides of the pipe- leaving 1" holes. These we and expertly repaired. Our basement smells great today - we are able to enjoy our living space!!
Just moved in and realized our basement STINKS! We spent a couple thousand dollars trying to find out where gasoline came in. Two pipes and charged us, a company came out left without being able to find it out. These individuals said there were no leaks and they assessed the plumbing.
We'll NEVER use another plumber!!

This does not mean that the diver- OR in this case, a gasoline firm - is"unprofessional", or"not skilled" etc..
1) If the cost wasn't worth it, then they did not have to take the occupation
I really don't think"Guy B"- in all of his glory- would wreck with a gas pipe which may blow up a home for just $100 bucks. If that's his thing, then hey, but I seriously doubt it.
I really don't get the inspection, for a couple of reasons of Guy B.
I had this business fix a leaking pipe and they did a good job stopping it within an hour and finding the flow. It had been within the companies so their pricing seems fine and normal, expected cost of the Insurance. The service technician was helpful, friendly, and professional. DB's and I concur that some people despise blue collar folks and believe they don't deserve to earn a reasonable living. And that's a shame
Anyhow, I don't think his inspection is reasonable whatsoever; I feel as though he probably just does not understand or care to understand gas and plumbing, or respect the accountability and seriousness of some project of that magnitude; so I wanted to give my 2c on it
2) Gas operate is equally dangerous as hell! It's a LIABILITY for a business bcuz if something goes wrong, the home can blow up. The expense of that just for accountability , to TOUCH the occupation, is worth the $400.
As a scuba diver myself, I know that even with the diver, occasionally equipment can malfunction or circumstances can happen that put the diver in a dangerous or challenging spot. And even the most professional trained cave divers occasionally do die (have an accident resulting in drowning).

Our water pipes burst and flooded our basement. We had a couple of plumbers come out for estimates and they suggested we call a plumbing service for find an estimate for a leak detection service to help determine whether the leak was inside or away from the home and it would probably cost about $500. We contacted DB Plumbing & Drain for find an estimate for your leak detection service. Give us an estimate and the dispatcher advised us of this $39 service charge to get a tech to come out. She explained 95 percent of the time and they can do the job right then and there. The tech will provide the estimate and the $39 fee will be placed on the bill if we opt to utilize their services differently you eliminate the fee. He did not have the tools to do the job. Money wasted. By the way there are plumbers whose plumbing services are lower a service don't charge.

Not a good experience in my case! Cost is expensive. I asked to give a quote when I chose to me but they didn't give me one. They charged me just to come out and have a peek I had.

After reading the reviews and not allowing my ruling is clouded by the ones, I do think the cost/quotes at this provider is somewhat suspect. Seems like the most important concern, based on the remarks that are negative, is the price of support. I felt the exact same way regarding pricing. I knew because Ive had the work done before their cost wasnt as significant and by a another well known company, that I overpaid. Other than the cost, I do believe they know what they are doing and are extremely professional when they are doing the work. The tech was useful and nice. I would say you also dont mind paying the extra cash and if you're desparate to get the work done fast and done correctly , even if you can through a different respectable firm, this place ought to be fine. But get more than 1 quote if you can in case you have sufficient time.

*UPDATE* Look at the comments for proof that they removed too much drywall. The bill sent to me about the 10th reflects a $300 credit for"additional drywall removal". Is the one after paying $7512, I obtained the following day. And a warrant in debt was registered less than 1 week after I paid this company that sum of money. All I asked for was time to find another opinion. I've had to deal with this litigation for over a year since they hired a lawyer to sue me. This company was paid $7512 on the day by me and I was served a warrant in debt by the sheriff. Yes, this company hired a lawyer who's attempting to accumulate over $4000 in attorney's fees too and was suing me. After admitting they removed drywall, yes, this all is.
Many problems with a whole house that is recent repipe. I had been pex which was not an option I might have made in my own. Copper was desired by me but had been advised pex would save me drywall repair. More on this later. The workers were guys that are great. Showed up on time and finished the pipe work. There are problems with the work. First off they cut the drywall with hand gears instead of turning saw. Makes for more completion time and sloppier cuts. They did not cut stud they cut. After asking for them to square off the holes they were still very sloppy. This increases drywalling moment. Now for the bad. An entire ceiling was removed by them in my home in the laundry area . The drywaller told me that it might have been done with a small hole. Before they left I wouldn't sign off on the work and pointed out my dissatisfaction with all the ceiling that was missing. Now for the awful. The owner of the company subsequently went to a tirade on the telephone and with more than 10 emails in under a day threatening me with all the sheriff telling me I was berating him telling me that this was private because I would not sign off work without getting my drywaller to appear first to estimate the harm. After the work was finished, mind you I paid significantly less than 24 hours. They sent an invoice with pictures of the work that showed all regions except for the ceiling to me. The owner agreed to give a credit toward the cost of drywall fix to me if I might sign off to the work and threatened to rescind this offer if I did not accept it without consulting with the drywaller first. He was rather unprofessional and heated . Ive been advised by this drywaller the true replacement cost of that ceiling will be $1400 and his company does the exact same work eg whole house repipe with pex for the specific same amount they did it for but they substitute the drywall as they go for no extra charge. Very upset I am end up spending an extra 2-3000 dollars on this work and they sent out 2 guys to do. I hope this review saves others headache and the time cash which I am having to take care of.

Quick response to my online inquiry. DB's Plumbing told that they do not do the specific job I was looking to get done (major tub remodel), but they offered to assist with installation of things they do handle. I'll contact them .

Business and support. On his first trip he analyzed the situation and suggestions that were provided since we weren't certain what we had. The support provided was efficient, and he did a very thorough job replacing our old hardware. Was pleasant to work with and will be using them. Thanks DB's plumping!

I will use DB's as our plumber for any future demands.

First off, I found this company to begin with. None really excelled, although we have used plumbers over time. DB's gained more 5-star reviews than anybody else for this service, so heck, I decided to call. We could not figure out where it came from after running the washer or not doing any laundry and had standing water in our laundry room. We got another day appointment and Tommy came out to service it while not an emergency. Even though he's a young guy, he was very knowledgeable about the age of the house and pipes, and indicated water had been leaking through a substantial crack in our concrete usefulness tub he said was first to the house (1950s!) Took phone images of it from both underside and inside to reveal us. The A/C drip line goes into the tub so it was just and is wet in there dripping out on the ground through the fracture. He gave us solution and stated if we had to go permanent, they'd care for replacing the tub. Not as cheap a solution as the band-aid, but we got an answer. I think we've found our new plumbing company!! Since Jeff D. examined, both my husband and I got texts with images of the technician before he arrived. Would certainly recommend them and will call them!

CONS: After DB's gave us their quote, we noticed that they had not planned on pulling the county license to replace a gas water heater. We requested them to do that, and the fee was likely to be $375 for a 108 license. That seemed high to us, so my wife offered to pull on the license for them. We could not get in contact with them quickly then, and our home warranty company called later that afternoon to state DB's could not help us because they do not do updates (we had requested a 50-gl heater to replace the broken 40-gl heater). That was frustrating because we had been working with DB's for many years, they knew we needed a water heater that is larger, and they never said that could be a problem.
We ended up using another plumbing service (who pulled the license for $200). DB's did not work out for us, but their technicians did look knowledgeable and were agreeable to work with.
Our gas water heater broke, and our home warranty company enlisted DB's to come have a look at it.
PROS really seemed to know their stuff and were very friendly. They explained everything that were in no way pushy about non-essential repairs and had to be completed in layman's terms. They were patient with all our questions.

When we asked how long it might take, he said that it was not the firm policy to"bid"based on time, but by the job and its complexity, but that a project of this sort can take as long as two and a half an hour.

Why it was so expensive, He asked him, he clarified that he would have to turn the gas supply off replace the components, then turn down the gas on and relight the pilot lights in the house.
That's ridiculous, although I am a capitalist I making a gain. When my wife called and spoke to the supervisor, he was respectful, but totally unapologetic. Four hundred bucks is not going to send me in bankruptcy, but I imagine you will find some struggling individuals out there that would be put in a place.
He had been done in 32 minutes, and that included two trips to his truck. Thus, an hourly rate of $796.00 an hour. He did not have to shut the gas off . All of the plants and flowers that surround the meter were sterile as were the cobwebs on the meter.
We had to have the fire department respond to get a gas leak. It was finally determined that the gas line along with the connection valve had replacement. After checking reviews on the internet this company was chosen by my spouse. They have been exceedingly responsive. They came within about thirty minutes of our phone. They sent a photo of the plumbing technician before his arrival. The plumber Shane was considerate and at all times remained polite and pleasant. So far a fantastic choice.

We had the technician come out to mend two valves (kitchen sink and bath sink) that were leaking and unclog a bathroom. He required time to see how much we're going to need to pay to repair the repairs the actual work completed! Note: overall time spent on the tablet was, although this included time for a quote for other work that we may want to accomplish in the long run!
When the repairman abandoned, the bathroom was clogged and suggested after we spent over $600 for its total repairs (more than $200 was to NOT purge the bathroom ) that we ought to spend additional $1,000 + to replace the bathroom AND nevertheless could not guarantee that the problem could be solved!

Had a fridge that had to be installed. The tech arrived on-time began installing the fridge and while installing he noticed that the water for the ice maker needed to be substituted, he had everything on his truck to correct the water line. The cost was reasonable and the tech was knowleable about my fridge. Would recommend DB Plumbing.
