Two pipes repairs have been done by jim . Both times he was quick to respond to my call, accessible to to the job within two or a day, also did a professional job. When I have a plumbing issue, I'm quite content with his work and will continue to call him.

He is. And no one else will be called on by us.
He place a new version at all, made sure I was not going to visit my final reward through garbage disposal.
So I reached to transfer a few bits of cut vegetables to the garbage disposal & got a mild shock.
Jim came over and showed me the way the original installer from over 22 years ago not hooked up the grounding cable. The unit had a hole inside that was not there till lately that is the reason why I had never known about the problem before.

Jim told me to purchase a bathroom and he would install it. I purchased it and called him... every few days for a week and a half... nothing. I wrote and asked if he was OK, and that I hope he is, but he never reacted (maybe he was getting a lot of sump pump business because of recent rain), and that I was a long-time client. As I said, I hope he is OK, but if so, it feels like he is willing to go back on his word with someone who hired him to get 2 other install tasks (and a fix here and there) over many decades. I sensed shorted for no reason. I discovered a man.

I left a message concerning concerns I had with my sump pump and called Jim. He returned my call later that night, spoke at length about the matter with me and was able to repair the problem the next day. He was punctual and his service was professional. I'd recommend him without hesitation.

I called Jim to fix a toilet for me personally and put in a bidet in a different bathroom. Since I was off of work he was able to come out. Jim called me when he was on his way. He was productive and quite thorough. Turns out he needed to completely overhaul 1 toilet. He was very professional, personable and friendly. I would highly recommend him and liked meeting Jim. OUTSTANDING fair pricing and businessman. And he gave me a business pen that writes very well also. You can't go wrong - call Jim!!!!

His crew at JM Stephen's Pipes and jim are second to none. By far one of the most honest and dependable contractors out there.
Jim and his crew did work and I would strongly recommend this company for any plumbing problems you may have, little or large.
I dealt with plumbing problems in my laundry room and Jim managed to come by and resolve the problems immediately and at a reasonable price. He was upfront regarding the estimated price and that he made sure to keep me updated as he continued to find problems on the way. He even took the time to completely explain to me why the problems existed in the first place and provided steps.

The world could be a much better place if he could be cloned.
He along with the helper took a 30 minute lunch break. The helper did the cleanup while Jim made the Home Depot excursion for the plywood and to pick me up some CLR, a cleaning product that he recommemded. They left at 5:30 pm and came at.
1) upgraded the kitchen sink faucet into a new MOEN model. Good to have a top arcing drop down sprayer kitchen faucet just like I watch on TV.
4) set up a brand new garbage disposal and analyzed dishwasher for any leaks.
I dwell in a condominium that has started to show flaws in builder grade fixtures. For $2,150 Jim
3) in MBR replaced first bathroom with a TATA DRAKE bathroom from their midline models.
My quote that is onsite was spot on - no surprises. No upward sells that were discussed. Didn't think of leaving til job was 100 percent done. He had all the tools needed, just ran to Home Depot to the plywood panels (what he'd brought with him was too small).
The MBR tub repair AND the water valve upgrades both required cutting on sized holes in the wall. The main water valve required working over the dryer. Both were repaired with plywood cosmetically acceptable.
He is a one-man (plus one helper) business. You get HIM ON HIS phone: a workplace supervisor or maybe not a dispatcher, when you call. Scheduling is he does not subcontract or have a steady of mechanics to call on. If you call mainly he does ask detailed questions, I figure, to assess the time the job will take.
5) substituted the main water cutoff valve. A lever currently operates it - !
The bathroom replacement required shims beyond shimming done over the course of a repair years back - an unforeseen complication. Even for a master plumber with 40 years experience, it was a significant day's work. My unit turned into a third floor walkup added into the toil of trips to and out of. His expertise made shutting off water to each of the 12 units in the building last just half an hour.

Jim was found by us through Yelp, and the reviews were right! Jim is exceptional! He was called by us for a toilet tank that was busted. He was receptive, asking a few questions about the bathroom, size, etc.. We quantified the size of the bathroom, set up an appointment, and relayed that information to him through text. Jim arrived worked fast, and our bathroom is great. He even took the opportunity to describe certain things (how much water that the new one uses, the caulk around the base of the bathroom, etc.). We have found our plumber and will highly recommend him! We will be using him for all our plumbing and remodeling needs!

Jim Stephens is courteous, prompt, honest and provides fair pricing. You are dealing with the owner who is a Master Plumber of the company when you're coping with Jim. He is actually among the very best home repair persons I've ever dealt with -- his company and I highly recommend Jim and the plumber.

I'm clueless when it comes to home maintenance and that I came home and noticed water dripping in my sump pump and detected water in the sump pump. I was not sure if this was normal or not. I asked him my question and then a second and called Jim. He was not pushy attempting to generate a sale or a appt and answered me. He answered my queries. It was refreshing. And he answered while! I'm definitely saving this man's number if I have any pipes issues.

I listened to Yelp reviews and was not disappointed!!! Great company and support that is superb. Texting to the proprietor a couple of occasions and he comprehended the demand for my difficulty the next day, to be serviced. New water system place in over hours of the service call. Honest and reliable. Will use him and known him to other people already!!

I enjoyed the process of getting my water heater replaced. I was bummed when my water stopped running, but after my initial conversation with Jim I felt confident relieved & he was planning to do a superb job, not bleed my pockets tender. He listened to my concerns and informed me on the fix. He came out same evening for the diagnosis and taught me a lot about the big beast of a water heater I had in my cellar for 20 years. He had been patient and didn't rush the experience. He returned the following day with a new water heater and then installed it with ease. He's honest Master Plumber & a professional. He turned out something that could have been horrible. Thank you Jim!

Super reactive and same day services. Had to replace my hot water heater, never an enjoyable cost. Owner arrived and gave me clarified each of the choices and counsel. That he was efficient and owner did the job, considerate and his helper has been also. They cleaned up afterwards before we started having to an 30, and I have flawless hot water, in fact it is even more hot and heats up quicker then. Locating a fantastic plumber is hard, and now I have found on. He is neighborhood, real, and reasonably priced.

I discovered Jim on Yelp because of his 5 star score. I phoned him about my garbage disposal. He told me to go buy the wrench and try that first. I truly appreciated he was. I did want to call him back since that did not work. He came out the following day and replaced it. He's very personable. I refer him to family and friends and will retain his card.

I had not utilized before but after reading a number of those other testimonials and seeing it was a local company, I gave them a call JM Stephens Plumbing. I had water leaking down from under my kitchen so that I had to find some help immediately. That the flow was found by jim in a line behind the refrigerator. Not merely did he immediately fix the flow but also helped to wash the ground before putting the refrigerator back in place. I had Jim look at some other slow draining sinks and a possible other escape while he was here. While he fixed one he identified a bigger job together with having him replaced our hot water heater, so we scheduled another call. He came back when he promised and solved very professional the issues and what a difference in hot water when taking a shower! I strongly urge JM Stephens - I will definitely be calling Jim once I have plumbing problem. He's educated, experienced and reasonably priced. Thank you for the excellent service.

Jim is great. I really needed to find a fair and reliable plumber to assist with my house and Jim has been great. He gets the work done quickly and can always get to the house within 24 to 48 hours. His rates are reasonable and he's even done diagnostics for me. I'll definitely be using the services of Jim .

His rates are fair and the job is well worth every penny. He may not be the least expensive but I guarantee he's cheaper than Len or the other names in this region. You will not be disappointed at the job.
I got my first home in Arbutus it was a HUD home. Plumbing is one thing I really don't do although I gutted all the property and did a bunch of the repairs myself.
He's replaced water heater, fixed leaks, rebuilt my toilets was, replaced by a sewage ejector pump, ran water lines, and I am sure some other stuff.
I also have used him since and found Jim on Yelp. He's fine, the owner/operator so you know who is coming, educated, and has managed to do each job I have placed in front of him and all while keeping the place clean, (as clean as you can ).
Jim is my go to plumber.

Mr. Stephens only left after replacing the innards of a bothersome bathroom in our rental. I am always a little leery since I am not really certain if the job will be done badly or not very well.

Not only was he educated and considerate, but he came on time and was very friendly. He worked with me to find an appointment time.

P.S. Do yourself a favor and take a look at the many reviews which are"filtered" -- you'll see Mr Stephens has a lot of satisfied clients on the market, even if Yelp is overly cautious to realize they are actual people.
Great support from an experienced, well regarded and friendly plumber. Having had some plumbing that is less than leading experiences previously, I'm delighted to have found. His work is top notch, but I have been happy with his prices although mr Stephens is probably not the cheapest plumber around. In my experience he has been ready to explain what options are available and hasn't tried to sell me support I need or didn't want. Highly recommended.
