Lewis was named by my spouse from Narrow Way, and 5 minutes after I got a message stating they were known as Lewis came knocking on my door. Super professional, friendly, and careful, he noticed another difficulty was over 2 minutes, quickly identified the issue and assessed the situation everything to me along with my landlord. While it was too late in the day to get a replacement for the water heater, then he introduced a new one and got in touch first thing the next morning. He efficiently installed it quickly, and cleaned up after himself making the whole experience enjoyable and simple , especially compared to the other company we tried before.
My basement flooded. I phoned Roto-Rooter and they informed me. They called to say they'd be late. I waited. At 6pm, they phoned me after several phone calls to inform me they would not be coming.
This is I have been in Boston. A+.
Nothing of the sort occurred, and I'm sure he might have dragged this on for hours to get paid by the hour, although throughout the thing he made it clear that his aim was to get my water flowing again.
Fast forward to today: I had somebody else here to fix the problem and they said the work was nothing short of terrible. They didn't properly fix the flow and failed to take basic steps (like completely tightening the plumbing ). So that the leak lasted... for nearly a year. No wonder that my heating bill has been astronomical.
So if you're searching for good service and quality workmanship... that there are far better options.
They tried to fix a gas flow. Instead of either replacing the plumbing, or correctly tightening the link points, this putty is put by them all over the area. Every one else that has seen it said that is a way.
They came out to fix a gas flow and heating problem two or three years back. I was so-so on them they came out however, the work seemed very shoddy.
They were able to create a temporary cure for my heater (good) while they arranged components, together with plans to come back and fix it properly in a week or two. But from there on out, they were impossible to get in contact with. Thus overall, terrible customer service. They didn't close the loop and never return to fix the problem.
Narrow Way has been our plumber for its 20 years we've lived in our house. Everything has been done by them: snaked drains, and installed taps, hooked up dishwashers and washing machines, replaced with a hot water heater. Their job is exemplary, and everyone they have ever sent (and I have gotten to know most of the team over the years) is professional, personable, and capable. I recommend them.
I docked one star as they are not always so easy to achieve, especially nights and weekends -- when something goes wrong Friday night, you won't get a human until Monday a.m. I have never quite understood this; at home in Vermont I am never more than 2 hours away from an on-call service individual, day or night, and this is in the middle of nowhere. It seems like this is an issue that may be solved, and I will be the first to give them 5 stars, if they get a handle on this.

This particular morning. and
I've utilized that time they have done everything from installing to be the plumbing contractor to get our master suite, a faucet and at Narrow Way for many years. His team and matt are courteous, prompt and expert in their livelihood.
Over the years I have gotten to know many members of their group and without hesitation I would strongly recommend them.
From speaking to this man who took my call, I thought I was paying a $135 hourly fee and components (if desired ). Didn't even use a tool, he had it fixed in 30 minutes and just pulled stuff from the drain. When I phoned later to question the price, they said it should happen to be a $110 flat fee plus they gave me a 10% reduction (down to $100) for the problem. I realize their fee arrangement that is apartment protects them from sending out someone to your home it. But just make certain that you keep track of how long they spend and get the cost directly. I would recommend their services and also their customer service/billing individuals wanted to ensure it is appropriate, but they should have someone else answering their telephones.
We have employed Narrow Way for 6 years for our residences and a three family house we handled. They have always been reliable, professional, affordable and excellent in repairs and services. There's been many instances they have gone beyond and above. ( Once Matt researched and discovered me options in various price ranges for a remarkably small sink and cabinet. ! ) Since I know they will show up, do a great job, explain things, give options for your finances, not overcharge, not attempt to do anything other than what is 44, I urge them all the time. All of the team members are great!
Narrow Way just finished a boiler replacement. The procedure went off without a hitch. They cleaned up completely then, came as scheduled, and clarified beforehand what would be involved. I appreciated having the ability to talk with Mario concerning the best way to keep a steam heating system. He had been proactive at offering some helpful advice. I have had other projects done by these before and have always had a fantastic experience, so I figured it was time. My experience was that their business is run with the utmost integrity.
Unprofessional and untrustworthy. If they had shown up on time and fixed my issue I would have continued to use them and they likely would not make money on it although I understand this was a small job. I live in an old home, things are constantly in need of repair and they would have gotten a lot of work out of my neighbors and me. I simply can't understand how companies treat their clients and such as this can have such terrible customer support.
They never showed up although I tried to use Narrow Way Plumbing for a drain. My appointment was scheduled for 10am and between 8, at 9:30 when they had not arrived I called them. First the receptionist tried to convince me that my appointment was scheduled for the next day - not correct. Then when the receptionist recognized her"error" she informed me "Tyrone" a different person from whom I was originally told would be doing the job when I made the appointment, had already come and gone out of my house. I live with a buzzer that is broken. I was about having to phone me when they arrived quite clear. I am sorry but I can't spend my morning staring from the window. Now I was getting really upset that they might be so unprofessional rather than try to reach me at all when I failed to answer the door (if they had really shown up at all). The receptionist said she'd call Tyrone to find it out and call me right back, after expressing my frustrations. That was and I have not heard back from Narrow Way.
My heating system was altered by them a few years back and they were efficient and quick. Getting the work done with minimal effect on my everyday life.
Matt has always answered my concerns. His team is good to use. Staff is courteous and take the time to ask the proper questions. Messages are returned. I expect them enough to get work.
I've been coping with Narrow Way Plumbing for over 15 decades. They've always been quick to react to my telephone calls and crises. My pipes froze and I had no heating the afternoon, one of the men was there within one hour. Work was completed.
