Alejandro asked to determine where the problem was and showed up. He had everything flowing in about a half hour. He snaked the lineup thirty feet longer just in case.
I was told by dispatch that it would be two hours before somebody would show up to wash the out out. Two hours may seem like forever when you have two baths in a commercial company that do not work.
Having a guy like Alejandro is a true asset to the Roto-Rooter organization. He was pleasant and polite.
JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!
Highly Roto-Rooter and recommend him.
After the third phone call several over three hours after and after talking to several people who told me something different... was told two techs called in sick... so could we schedule for another day... fine... then a technician shows up and ready to control us over 400. To substitute a kitchen faucet that is broken. . We had the new replacement... and that didn't include any additional work.... Needless to state asked the technician to depart.... Cannot believe the entire experience... not professional and over charge much.... Will not ever use or recommend again
I didn't use this support! However, to unclogged a bathroom I need permission of the owner of the house is very weird. Just be aware before you telephone that you have permission.
Utterly pissed.
False promises. The first appointment made a day beforehand for a 2-6pm, window showed, dispatch calls me 10 minutes before the window to tell me that they won't have anybody until tomorrow AM.... My day, WASTED. Dispatch calls and asks if I would like someone to come, two hours after the window shut on the second attempt. With 20 minutes left in the workday he assured me I would not have my own water heater now replaced or fixed. WASTED ANOTHER DAY waiting for NOTHING. I'm livid. If you can't reserve and promise appointments DO NOT BOOK THEM AT ALL. I have wasted 2 days... start my new job on Monday and have no time during the week to repair it. Now my son and me are going to have no water for a week. THANKS.
Toilet busted in our apartment that was early. . .Jeff and Enrique arrived in 15 minutes of my call. Seriously. You can't even purchase a pizza. And 30 minutes later, they were done. Cost was upfront and fair, service was ideal, and they were more friendly to boot. Highly recommend these two!
I had been in a rush so I didn't have sufficient time to negotiate cost to pick my daughter up. Another company had a quote, but I use these due to the review that is 5-star online.
Thinking about overcharge and the late show, I have to provide them 2-star this time.
The appointment has been made in advance for 9:00am - . My tenant must take leave to wait for them. But they did not show up. I phoned them and then they finally send individuals to come. It had been pm and they're late for at least one hour!!
The project was done but it cost a whole lot. The tub sink and clog cost me $960.
***READ OTHERS REVIEWS TOO ABOUT OVER CHARGING***I had the work done for $95 and called someone else.
I have a tub thats not draining. Guy shows up and gives me a quote of $390. Lets do some math. $390 for a 1/2 hour of work. Thats just like what bucks an hour. I pay $400 an hour and that I really don't see. I told that man to get the hell out of my house.
Use at your own risk.
I simply wanted to follow-up on my previous inspection that the staff of Pat did reach out to me and apologized which I had. I was offered a refund, which was appreciated by them. Though the problems might have been prevented, Roto Rooter has been quite responsive in hearing exactly what my issues were and winning my business back. They have done that!
My post was reacted to 5 decades later I am not sure.
Great service. Thank you to Ramon for doing a fantastic job. He was knowledgeable, courteous and professional
Wow, blown away by their support, efficiency, promptness. We called them the night before Thanksgiving. It wanted help ASAP and had been raining non-stop. Steve Karlin, the technician, came over the time period with the hydro-jet, which he hammered into our residence. When he surveyed the problem, chose (wisely) that the best course of action would be for him to return then following morning, where he would be able to see with greater lighting, plus he could bring some other gear. The following morning just at 9I'm he over 90 minutes, has the daunting job and shows up. The night since we were repeat clients and before, they'd offered us, gave us 10% off that. Despite that he came on Thanksgiving itself, didn't charge extra for a"holiday" price. I felt badly that he carted this massive piece of gear in the night on to have to take it backagain. My husband, who coped with himsaid he had been the sweetest, most down to earth technician he had ever dealt wit praise--Steve, thanks a ton !
JAMES #5004 WAS absolutely wonderfulWho takes pride in their work and reflects their business and themselves having attitude and a smile

He deserves charge these days do you match with someone
THANK YOU JAMES
Punctually, polite and patient with all the questions
Very responsive. Nobody likes a weekend sewage problem however they came in 2 hours and the secretary has been very professional. I enjoy the email verification of the appointment. The plumber was very diligent in assessing the problem before diving. We ended up needing to embark on a very expenisve clean out setup but they cleared the blockage so we can utilize our water and plumbing again. Highly recommend.
***Update on the Inspection I left on 2/25/18***Very Poor Service from the time came at the place. We have been calling Roto-Rooter for previous four decades and their customer service level has dramatically decreased to a very unprofessional zone. The absence of professionality from the plumber, their lack of attention, urgency and ownership to client needs are so obvious that we're discovering a pattern which tells so much about the culture of the company. We're definitely searching for businesses with more professional mindset to probelm solve sensitivity and efficiently to client requirements.
Managment immediately contacted us and addressed the complaint very professionally
The plumber refused to completed his job and the mess he had created which for four years that were previous it was the case that plumber could wash up in the end. He was so unprofessional as when we refused to pay him he had an audacity to create a remark he have set agency contact us.
We're crazy with level of service and we have experienced today and will file a complaint to higher level of this provider and the direction. I will be leaving this review at Google as well.
So at 7 pm, as dinner wraps up, I stand by, waiting for the plumber. I decided to call Roto Rooter ago, telling them that nobody had arrived or called, and I needed an approximate ETA. "Katie," the dispatcher who answered the 474-XXXX lineup, told me that"7:00 was the earliest, and the window for support was between 7 and 11 p.m."
Steer clear of the Roto Rooter.
Horrible and uninformed dispatchers. I called this morning for a little problem--that the bathroom sink was not draining, which caused a few muddy water to back up in the tub. The dispatcher said that somebody would phone me about a half an hour before they come.
First off, the Roto Rooter company that I called is recorded on Yelp, so this review might not apply for this place. I did a Google search for the place I called (their amount starts with 474-XXXX, and they're recorded in the Yellow Pages) as that's the amount I called, and that review is right for them.
Well, WTF, folks --that was the first I'd heard of a'time .' The initial dispatcher never mentioned ANYTHING about a time window--they just told me I had a 7:00 appointment. I expect them to be there at 7:00, Whenever someone states 7:00, or I hope the dispatcher is knowledgable enough to inform me that there's a time period. Frankly --did these people today believe I have nothing better to do than to sit around, waiting for a plumber who might not appear at night?! And if that is if they appear, do they believe I've nothing better to do than to wait about for the service?
That the dispatcher was impolite and quite unprofessional. Not the person I would choose taking telephone calls. We had an appointment now at 240 and they never showed up. Dispatch Brittany said she tried calling numerous occasions to confirm when I called. I did try to phone back but she did not answer. She got sassy and said she had been the only one functioning. She said when you can, she'd attempt to get out somebody here. I am still waiting...
I meant to write this but here it goes. My sink clogged on Thanksgiving Day with brussel sprouts in 2pm despite a disposal. After an hour or so of trying to unclog the sink ourselves, we called in the pros. Stanton was respectful, considerate, and educated of the cooks in the kitchen and showed up shortly after calling. He solved the issue and was able to provide help with prevention insight into the cleanliness of my building's pipes.
Stanton produced our Thanksgiving!
I provided Stanton a plate of Thanksgiving dinner several times, but he was laser-focused about the issue at hand and not imposing. Stanton is an advantage to Roto-rooter- .
It was easy to envision an appt (using a two hour window of time, 8-10), using a guarantee to call 30 minutes in advance. Got a call a couple of minutes after the window ended suggesting the tech was delayed, and they'd call me 30 minutes before he came (I am fine with this since they called to let me know). Jay came about 11. He was professional and efficient. He suggested the job may take two hours and he was completed in 1, highlighting this job was covered by a guarantee. I enjoyed that.
The good:
So my issues here are:
1) Prior to the first tech left he must have conducted some water through the pipes before announcing the job done.
This is a mixed bag. I called these guys to detach the pipes which run into the street out of my gutters. I haven't done this in the three years I have lived at this home, when the previous owners did this and I don't know, so this was a challenging job.
A couple of days later some water ran and three pipes were plugged. Until the tech left it might have been easy to look at this and I am somewhat surprised that it wasn't. Roto-rooter was great enough to send another tech and tried for a different hour. A I ran while he was here and was able to confirm that they still are plugged. He proposed a return trip using a camera (to see what the issue is) and was likely to go over this with the first tech. My pipes continue to be plugged, although seemed fair that he spent one more hour on the job because I just paid them for an hour. It's no word out of Roto-rooter on following steps and two weeks since the previous visit.
2) I would enjoy the business to be a little more proactive on fixing my issue.
The bad:
Watch your wallet!
We needed a shut off valve set up and have been quoted $260/hr. If we didn't need it at once, wouldn't have them. Never again.
Update: I was contacted promptly by Pat and then by a supervisor with the Menlo branch. The supervisor was professional, courteous, and had taken the time . I clarified that it had been.
I managed to work out a mutually satisfactory arrangement with all the folks and feel good about upgrading my original review. It's really good to know that although things did not work out as intended the Roto Rooter team was dedicated to making it right by this customer.
Updating my first inspection!
