Smart and Handy

Dave was responsive, punctual, smart and a very expert handyman. He considered a way to solve the issue of a rediculously venting from our dryer to the outside and then did a fantastic job of making it work.

Dave and his team at Smart and Handy were amazing when I had to do a remodel of a condo for my mom. Dave was the person who called me back when I called a handful of companies for a quote.
Dave communicated. He and always left the area clean and his staff did a fantastic job. Following the remodel was done to be certain that everything was satisfactory, In addition, he followed up a couple of times. I give Smart and Handy five stars and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future remodels.
Dave gave alternatives to do the remodel with my budget. He also has a wonderful sense of design and produced recommendations and gave comments on colors and materials. An added bonus has been that he and his staff are specialists in homes for the elderly. I appreciated the information he gave on grab bars, shower chair, door knobs, door thickness, and other details. My mom feels comfortable and safe .

Dave explained that he does all kinds of jobs including room additions, bathroom and kitchen remodels and more.
Dave came as scheduled and proceeded with the work. He spent all day working on this and he did an outstanding job! My sister is construction inspector and a contractor, and she was very impressed with the craftsmanship of Dave. He was friendly and easy to use. Dave obviously knows what the word customer support means.
I contacted one handyman that was known byt a buddy, and he never responded. Within this powerful market, it is difficult to get anyone to do a job that is little.

An internet question was made by me , late at night, and Dave responded. He quoted a fair price for your task, which was texture it, replace it and then to take out the sheet rock from two partitions and came on time. The texture was old and not an orange peel or knock down.

Worked with me to get the work done ASAP. Agreed to meet at 7:30 AM so that he could be performed before my customers arrived. He completed his work and was on time. Work area was neat and tidy as if he had never been there. Very professional-he explained everything that he was going to do before he did it. If you discount the weekend, our job has been completed less than 24 hours after initial contact ( which was created the exact same day through yelp). I highly recommend Smart and Handy.

Dave was a option to correct the door frame at my rental home. A guest had ripped the door frame apart and we needed it fixed. Dave showed up on time and substituted the doorway in one day. He was very professional and it shows in the quality of his work. Would recommend him any day!!

I finished the online form due to their Yelp rating promising a couple of hour reunite for quotation and phoned them. I never heard back from them. Disappointing considering the rating. Not good to"over-promise and under-deliver" on your response time.

Dave was actually the one individual who called me directly, from the six builders I achieved to yelp . I needed to reach out to a contractor asap and have water damage in my own unit. Not only did he take some time from his busy schedule to call me right away, but although there appears to be a possibility I was not going to be able to experience work with him (because of handling of insurance claims and their urges ) I never felt like Dave was providing me the rapid run around. He had been patiently explaining how my situation can be best handled by me and his advice was really reassuring. He answered all questions I had and stuck with me throughout the telephone. I received the impression that Dave is a really considerate and caring individual that can be depended upon. I will definitely be looking to Dave to get the job finished, When I have any future building requirements.

We had a dilemma with a previous homeowner making dwelling alterations without city permits. Smart & Handy was hired to work help us relocate a water heater and return laundry hookups. His firm and dave were amazing at the remodel of my grandparents' baths, in a home that had not been touched since 1956 when they purchased it. Dave was exceptionally patient, good at communication with me (running the job from across the country) and my grandparents. The final product looks amazing, and it is a lot safer for my grandparents. Great work from a great company!

I'd love to say that in trying my redesign, I am very weary of dishonest or careless contractors. I never felt this way in coping with Dave. He was not pushy, always considerate, and easy to work with. I look forward to working again.

I will continue to urge them to friends members and family and am delighted to have found a General Contractor that I have and can utilize later on. We've all had experiences with the other type...

1) when Dave first came it bid our occupation he spent a great deal of time with us talking about my husband's needs and, since he has expertise in working with the handicapped, he was able to give us some ideas we hadn't thought of.

When we wanted to redesign a bathroom to make it accessible for my husband with a handicap, we opted to utilize Dave at Smart and Handy and are glad we did for so many reasons I'll need to record them.

We would hire David in Smart and Handy again! We needed a flat screen television wall mounted along with the wiring run through the wall in our company showroom so I searched'electricians' on Yelp. He always gave us options that could help us adhere to our budget, but we never felt like we got skimped on quality. We're very happy with the results and we will use Dave for our upcoming contracting needs. We feel like he understands our home so now, we would not expect anybody else with the occupation!
We were very nervous about the process as we have heard all the horror stories on contractor jobs gone wrong.We also had items on our to-do list that there were causing us some anxiety and we wanted to make certain it was done correctly.

Last week I called three times since. Mail box is always complete and nobody replies. Then I left a message by clicking"Quote" without a reply. Therefore, I give one star because if they do not begin with a good customer service do they help you?

He sealed up the wall for us. His believing saved lots of money and us a big mess.
