I've got two AC units and one of these was not working. I put in a call and was impressed with how courteous they had been over the phone. It was an elongated wait for support on account of the busy summer months and I called to request an ETA due to other appointments. I half-expected a response that is very curt or abrasive but what I got was that the epitome of courtesy. Upon the arrival of the tech I could tell that he was drained from clients but he did not let this diminish his client services. I explained Jimmy and my problem sprang into action. I cried with him while he found him to be an good guy and a great conversationalist and labored. What really earned this 5 star review was something Jimmy had that's in short supply nowadays. Integrity. While assessing my 2nd device (the undamaged one) to make it a comprehensive service call, he broke a piece of the device. Along with charging me he could have told me that the component was worn and needed to be replaced. Im have understood better. Jimmy laughed and owned the accident. He didnt charge me for the part he broke. Again, I wouldnt have known.

This is a superb firm. Customer service and 24/7 service oriented. Even the woman who answered the phone was fine although I am certain that she wasnt thrilled about answering phones at the middle of the night.

I had a issue with my unit that is other and they offered to send someone out at the middle of the night to check at it. I chose to wait until the next morning while this was fine. Before suggesting a fix to my problem jimmy showed up again and did a comprehensive diagnostic. No sales tactics without a shenanigans. Just matter-of-fact options.
Take advantage of me and penguin Air tried to tear me off and I recommend that you go elsewhere to your ac needs.
Because my unit stopped blowing cold air I called and I heard a strange clicking noise. Because I knew they can make it out 12, I picked Penguin. Penguin Air came, unscrewed a few things, told me that they were baffled by the problem, made a whole lot of telephone calls, rattled on about"50+ years of expertise and nobody's ever seen anything like this", my unit must have been fried by a surge, and so on. All said and done, they told me I had $2900 in repairs however they, of course, recommended that I replace the whole unit for $10,000-$12,000.
THANK GOD, I called a smaller, neighborhood, HONEST company (Bob's Air-Co Repair) to get a second opinion. They could make it out. They began assessing the problem at a place than the PA tech, causing me to believe the PA tech on trying to defraud me before they arrived planned. All said and done, the Bob's tech fixed my problem within 15 minutes for $95 (which is greater than they'd normally charge for a service call because it is after hours).

Wel. I dislike writing reviews. But. I got Penguin atmosphere by a friend as a referral. Said they would be out today to fix my non working unit. I was told they would come today and I let them know that I needed to leave . Checked at 230 like - haven't heard from anyone. No response. 345. To checking 5, no answer. Eventually cancelled at 4 when I needed to leave. No thanks. As a new customer this isn't any company that I would use.

We had our yearly plumbing review. He was thorough and professional in his report and took effort, some time. With the house being nearly 60 years old, there were a few issues. He presented we and them saw a number of the issues. Eric is a true professional and I won't let anyone inspect from today on. He had been knowledgeable and went the extra mile to be considerate because our water heater needed shifting and our water was off for awhile. But during the repairs he kept us updated and informed. The job he did was so superior to anything in this house....including a new AC installed two decades back by Penquin. He is a man that is very good, and an excellent worker.

Richard Delancey, arrived on time to get Groupon yearly maintenance telephone on 7/20. He was quite educated, took photos of my 33yr old loft unit. It was literally duct pan hanging rust corrosion, using a wire and taped. Richard showed me the policy on my home guarantee record. An old unit would not be replaced, parts could be set up. Including waiting till unit died after discussion for solutions, I opted to have an entire unit. Installers arrived and are in the procedure. Richard sat down together with his time being taken by me showing me the best choices for me. The organization partners with Red Brick that offers 0% interest for a year. This allowed me to make with. In addition, I get a 300 SRP rebate.
I published a critical inspection but Mike the supervisor came to assess the damage caused by the previous crew. The following day (today) Jacob arrived and did the repairs to my complete satisfaction. One heat selection knob will be accessible and he will stop by to replace it. Jacob and mike knew what they were doing and did so in a very professional manner. So between the 1 star ten days ago and the 5 celebrities now, I'll give it a 4 (I understand math says it ought to really be three but they made ever effort to make good on it.
You will over charge. Do not use them. They're scammers that are total. Utilize people with ratings that are great and avoid being overcharged.

Jenni came out to our home and did not check the findings from her report, instead began searching for different issues. She might need to alter a part to determine if it was the issue and ascertained that it had been another issue, but was no certain. I walked outside to find her on the phone and she was explaining to someone that,"this is a repair not a service telephone". I asked her about it she stated that my spouse had approved the repairs. She and I didn't argue, simply asked this. Then I asked her to leave our home. As she left she say,"I hope your home warranty business can pinpoint the issue."
Up until recently we had no difficulties. They are out and in and seem to do their tasks efficiently. EXCEPT NOW!!! On July 18th, tech Jenni Hentges arrived at our home. She spent over 2 hours there. During her time she discovered several problems with our apparatus. Unbeknownst, to her we've got a home warranty. I was phoned by her insistently. I moved after her service out of town a day. I noticed that my downstairs unit wouldn't turn off and not cooled into the thermostat setting when I returned. After days of trying to find this out on my own, I followed with Jenni and had been unable to do so.
Saturday 7/27, Melanie, I contacted the manager for the afternoon. Who had been really friendly, empathized with me and promised me that she would have a"senior service tech" come out into our home now, because she understood our concern regarding the atmosphere now running nonstop from 7/18-7/27 and the impact on the energy bill.
Imagine paying Penguin Air a quote over $1200 to repairs that are unnecessary and not having a home warranty.
However, somebody who took me step by step through all Jenni's findings was sent out by my home warranty company. My capacitors outside were operating within range that was proposed, my contact have been responding as it should. And ultimately what was discovered was a wire was unplugged from my capacitor inside my air handler. When it had been reconnected my unit began operating as it had prior to Penguins service technician"tuning it up". I have provided Penguin with pictures of the work that Jenni has performed contained the unplugged wire.
We have been using Penguin Air for over a year. We use them for the Penguin Plan to have our furnace and AC's tuned up to meet with the demands of our home warranty.
After 4 hours I called the amount Melanie asked me to telephone, only to be told that they still worked on it but would be out after today. I then received notifying me that they needed to reschedule my visit to Monday. The reason I had been given, is because I had one unit in my home and it was not priority. I requested to talk with Melanie and was advised that she had been off already. The man advised me that he'd have another manager contact me. As 530pm 7/29, I'd not heard any until I phoned them, of.
The customer service is awesome but their product is crap. I had a AC. After one day, it leaked water into my home. Penguin came out to fix it but the repair only worked for a single day. only lasted two days, although they spend approximately 3 hours the day fixing it. Water damage is ensuing because they sold me a product and they refuse to give me a new unit. All AC firms in AZ are subpar. Penguin's customer service is the one thing better than other AC companies in AZ.. If it wasn't for that, I'd give them 1 star just like the rest.
Amazing service and expertise we bought a unit James Browne was an amazing technician he explained to me and spouse what we needed and best options he found us a great deal and to top this off this guy responded to our crisis and was at my house in under 30 mins and mended our current ac so my kids can sleep comfy. Honestly we had an amazing treatment and I am glad they have people and I called this company! Appreciative great fast excellent work
When there was an option for zero stars, I would give it. The office staff doesn't comply with the very same policies. I received a call from Victor the day at 6pm in regards. Rose made me an appointment at 5pm when I called over a week past, although I was told that my upkeep appointment needed to be made for during the week before 4pm. My interaction was terrible if our air conditioner went out. The office team explained"you do not need to be home. Go take your kids to the water park" Thank goodness I did not listen to them and remained at home because ALL of the job needed to be performed inside of my home.
With was very great, but certainly not worth managing the workplace personnel's disorganization.
I hired a licensed contractor and it costed me $150 to braze a half inch copper pipe, pressure test, release the charge and vacuum the lines. It was literal two hours of work. Vs the 850 I gave me. Even if I had to add coolant, cloth is only $100. Don't justify the 850.
Penguin Air has exceptional customer service. A real person answered the phone at 7:00 am. 7:55 am was arrived at by the service tech. Sky setup a unit to give relief to me since my a/c was lifeless. He explained it would remain until the unit was up and functioning. Sky explained in layman's terms so I could understand everything and was very professional. However he made me feel clueless. I always appreciate when a business treats women with kindness and respect. All this took place on a Saturday morning. The system goes in on Monday. I am pleased with the ease of doing business that Penguin is my new go to for all of my air conditioning needs. Will never call anybody else. A special thanks for helping an elderly lady when she was in her most vulnerable, to Sky.
!!!! is AMAZING Our a/c went outside on a Sunday and he had been to our house in a hour. He did a thorough diagnostic, gave us thorough recommendations, and continued to follow up with usas we've been waiting to accept our substitute case. He even went as far as emailing the company himself to show his support for us to expedite the process (as the fever has been over 100 the past few times ). Bob with financing was very valuable in getting our financing so we didn't have to make Jimmy head out of his way to meet us to perform it taken care of. I've been impressed by Penguin Air!
This company told me my air conditioner was outdated, and has been repaired a lot, Okay, they stated there was not any Freon it leaked out, and them informed me I needed a unit that was new. They stated that there is no guarantee that recharging the Freon, would work. I got a second opinion, and this company told me was a lie, you see it wad filled with Freon, what the company defrosted, and discovered was my coils required to be cleaned and my air condition was fine. I think in my spirit this company lied, and tried to take advantage of me, I wouldn't ever trust them. I'll go back to Chas Robert.
5 Stars! Bam! This was the firm that would come out to assist to deliver back our A/C , we predicted George Brazil and Sons, Goettle, and Parker and they said it would need to wait until Monday! I'm sorry but we have 5 bunnies and can't wait for long....but Jimmy our technician got to our house in about one hour and had it running in no time! He even included a free service guarantee....Thanks Penguin Air
A quote was needed by me in my a/c unit that was broken. The service Paterson that has been scheduled to come out called me rather and without considering it, gave me a repair estimate of $2600. I expected better service than that because they are used all of the time by my neighbors.
Regrettably, I would not recommend this company.
My advice to everybody is get you systems checked! My grandmother is staying with me. While I was away at work if that thing would have went outside, she'd have been in for a gloomy day.

When he did thank goodness Ryan with Penguin came out! My capacitor was weak it was barley cooling my property. Now the indoor coils are clean and the capacitors are replaced, WOW! I only had to run my AC for 30 minutes to cool my property. Allowed my house is only 1000 sq feet and I have a 2.5 ton, I was shocked at how fast it cooled. Before it was taking at least 2 hours to cool and it has got hot yet. I also thought it was just allergy season and that is why I have had a slightly stuffy nose now that they coil has been cleaned I noticed I was not stuffy, although since I moved in night. Cant wait to find out how much better that the air quality is when the duct cleaning is complete. The previous home owner explained that he simply changed the filters once, maybe twice, in the entire time that he possessed the house (2 years). No surprise that coil was coated in dust.
