The Solar Store

I just returned from installing a controller at my place out of state. I purchased a system from these people. The solar store designed the whole thing and walked through the setup. Everything installed readily as they said it would. And functioned as they said it would. Before we drove the drive, the kind and gracious owner Katheryn pre and suggested corrected the one. She didn't want us to get there and find the switches to be a issue. What a woman! The whole encounter with them was wonderful--from ensuring the appropriate items were bought by us 20 years back and the how to's on both batteries as well as installment of same and controller that is updated, every facet was useful, accurate, and professional. They left it sooooo easy.it still functions perfectly now. I suggest using neither hesitation nor reservation these people and their enterprise that is nice. jkj

Where to begin. We had a challenge without installing high voltage from the panel to the location in light an area. Taking a look at the cost of over 400 ft of high voltage versus a battery powered system with solar panels. So satisfied with the sales procedure, follow installation and up.

We're pleased with the final result. Solar Store recommended putting our panels instead of on the rooftop. It's unlike any other solar installation within our neighborhood. However, getting the result was a lengthy, frustrating procedure. It took nearly a year to go from signing to"going live". A good deal of the delay was a result of City of testimonials & Phoenix bureaucracy and awaiting APS to flip the switch.

Hence the salesman Kevin promises everything and delivers nothing. The owner is his wife so that she could care less. We had it for 3 weeks before it was actually, acquired the system and signed up. Kevin kept throwing the attribute at the electricity company when in fact his firm failed to submit the programs properly but two. For the topper: we had been advised we would not need to make any payments on the loan until the machine was"Live" and we had been receiving electricity from our solar panels. On the afternoon Kevin's crew finished their section of the installation I was told by Kevin that we had to tell the fund company that the work was complete. The fund firm asked if the device was completely operational....well my mistake I advised them the job was complete. So for 3 weeks now, I am paying my full electric bill in addition to the monthly payment for the panels. I would strongly advise using another seller for Solar.

The customer service is friendly. My three jugs were carried by the gentleman to my car for me. Make sure that you do not stop here if you're in a hurry. The wait can be long depending on the number of men and women are being helped and what is going on there. I've never had a speedy trip here.
Since we haven't managed to discover another supplier in Tucson we come here in order to purchase our Solar Water Heater heat transfer fluid. The liquid comes in a milk jug that has the fluids information on it. Should you bring your own jug at the price is 32. If you purchase their jug the price is $38. Why a $6 difference I have no idea. I find it rediculous if the company must move the fluid into your jugs.

We have loved our Solar Tubes for the previous 10 decades! They make a massive difference in the disposition of our residence that is 108 year-old. We recently had our house reroofed, and the roofers knocked it dropped into our kitchen and among the tubes loose. The damage was discovered by us and I phoned The Solar Store, believing that I would leave a message and somebody would call me back sooner or later. However, the store's owner answered right away! She had a repair person out first thing in the afternoon. They worked against the roofers, and fixed the harm. Not only that, however, The Solar Store workers left our kitchen counters cleaner than they were left by us! Five stars!

For those who don't prefer to read reviews that are long, I will be brief. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! We ordered a heater to get our pool. The salesman said components will be in 2 months, it'd take one day to install and our pool would be from mid March at a comfortable temperature.
After waiting we called to get an upgrade and we're told they had been having difficulty with one of the providers and didn't know when they'd have the components. They called and said they'd come out and put in everything but the panels to reduce the delay next week. The panels were installed by them and told us that the pool would be up to temp over 2 days the next week.
The system did not work and we were left with workmanship that looked like it was set up with a 3rd grader. After many calls for assistance and countless unreturned messages we had been advised the operator and lead tech could be out the next day. They never revealed. We again called the operator and never got a response. Within a week the technician and the operator came out to consider the computer system. The technician came out that week and finished everything as it must have been completed. It's now May and it required from February to get things resolved. They have complaints about the BBB site very like ours. Recommend you go elsewhere.

In a few months, the heaters began to malfunction. The maker of the hot water heaters advised us that the warranty was voided due to the mineral material in Tucson's water (Tucson has very"hard" water) and this system never should have been installed in the first place without installing (very expensive) water softeners.
We bought Eternal tankless water heaters in the Solar Store in May of 2012. We were very pleased with the helpfulness of the business, which included creating a spreadsheet showing us installation costs (including a refund in Tucson) and the future cost savings. The installation went well and everything was good!
The Solar Store basically divides us into buying water heaters by misrepresenting the cost of the machine. The numbers looks great until you find out that you have to install water softeners, also. We have been forced to spend tens of thousands of bucks over the Solar Store's original budget.
This is a classic bait and switch and shame on the Solar Store for engaging in unethical business practices. BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY DO THE RESEARCH AND REMEMBER THAT IT Might End up COSTING YOU MUCH MORE THAN THEY TELL YOU!!!

The Solar Store set up my machine 6 decades ago, I have had any problems over the years but the Solar Store has always responded quickly to my requests for assistance, the folks answering the phone and scheduling support have always been polite and helpful, and the support folks sent to my home have always been respectful and friendly. Katherine, President of the company came to a solution and came to my home to assess the best way to address my troubles. I love a business that works to address problems.

I've used this company for decades, they set up 4 solar tubes for me and they are wonderful, such amazing light, however this summer, the tubes started leaking rain, and I called the company and told them the problem was diagnosed without a flashing or skirting, they got right on it and did all of the work, gratis, very friendly workers, and they explained everything clearly to me. I would highly recommend this firm for the needs.

I like the fact that it is a local business with local occupations. We began by looking for a business to put in solar on our house. I had three companies and give their pitch. The Solar store had for exactly what we looked for the best product set-up. During the install everything went smoothly, had a few hiccups with them only showing up. We asked for the notice of a day because we have dogs and they have a tendency to freak out together up on the roof. Installation went smoothly, system up and running. I did a little more searching for information about the computer system, When it was installed. I found out that there's an add on that can monitor what is generated and what is used. The store owner was called by me and asked about this. She explained that nobody had ever asked for this. Really, you have a $20,000 system and you don't wish to know whether you are making enough energy to justify the install of this system? She stated she'd get back to me later in the week. Since then research has been done by me again on my own and also have found an aftermarket product which will give me the information I was asking for. I would have been far more convenient to have it installed as part of this system as one package and not need to run two programs! Follow up is lacking here.
