I recommend Terra Nova Engineering. They simply fixed some work completed by another company, in addition to extending my sewer line to the street. Sheila coordinated all celebrations, and quickly understands everyone in the county, EBMUD and the Water District is amazing. They did a great job and left my yard and the street all cleaned up. They were very professional and are easy to communicate together.

Their excuse/response. "This was a trenchless job so that we didn't see it" And,"There was root intrusion from the pipes, so that we didn't see it" I saw the photos - the root intrusion was frequent but physically and visually minor. Not a justification.
This is a review. My interactions with the company were, for the most part, professional and the principal work of installing the sewer lateral was performed but they left one HUGE MISTAKE.
When Terra Nova replaced the sewer lateral that they DID NOT do a precise job of analyzing the drainage. They attached my laundry or kitchen and the lateral together. This was an extra 800.00 dollar restoration.
I brought this up with Terra Nova asking for some financial aid since this was incompetence on their part. They refused and pointed to the contract which said one connection. Ihad no clue how the drains from my house have been laid out and'm not a plumber. That's why I hire professionals and pros.
However, many months after the lateral that was new was set up I started having issues with water backing up in my level when running the dishwasher and laundry at precisely the exact same moment. So I had a plumber this became much worse. The first bid was for 125.00 but rapidly climbed to 800.00 when we discovered an old pipe under a coating of cement had to be repaired. After that was fixed. . .onto the realization that is big.
So, while the work was completed competently the oversight of one drainage connection to my house is ridiculous and just careless. Bring your own conclusion from this review but if you want a thorough, detailed, and 100% competent job I CANNOT suggest this team. If you want to pay the exact same amount as the bids but get a subset of this work - go for this.

On the job, they worked all day replacing over a hundred feet of pipe came at 7:30 am, and made the connection to the city's main line and passed the review of the city.

This is for a Work In addition to these items, I also had difficulties with their own communication. They did not confirm that the amount of the extra cost, when complications on the job arose. Disclose and they promised to phone this cost to me personally, but neglected to do so.

On the afternoon that they needed to send someone to meet them, and came out to work on the house that I couldn't be there . Rather than coordinating to get access to my basement, they broke in by forcing the latch. They also blocked off my neighbor's driveway until I got home from work, even though my neighbor approaching them and asking them to transfer their car or truck.
Because of roadblocks they struck because THEY didn't do their homework, and the extra day it required them since they tried a shortcut, I ended up paying 31% more than the initial estimate AND that they did not deal with the expense of the certification as originally agreed.
On that very first day that they ended up telling me that the job was harder than they had expected (this is what happens if you don't really inspect the land ), so that they needed to re-route through my basement and they were only going to try and perform a partial replacement (a partial replacement!?!? When the initial agreement was for the entire item???) . This first effort failed to hold, so that they ended up needing to return to replace the entire thing anyways.
They established the estimate of the cost off of a bid I got knowing from the estimate that it was a big undertaking, they couldn't do better but they agreed to match the price. My difficulty starts here, in that they never came out to inspect it themselves. The estimate they agreed to have been replacement of the entire sewer lateral down to the road (140ft from in-law and primary house), also included the cost of the certification.
When I initially dealt with these men I'd have to say they were really accommodating. The terms of the purchase of my house were a little different in that I had agreed to pay sewer lateral (something normally insured from the vendor and completed prior to transfer of the house ). Because of this give a deposit of $1500 and I had to file an extension with the city. When I talked to Sheila, they had agreed to let me pay them the difference, and possess the city send the deposit check later all had been said and done, which means I ended up paying to the certification up too.
I ran into a great deal of problems with these men, while they have the job done.
