Ixtapa Construction

Alex and jay were great people. They replied my (and husband's) many questions and were really patient and helpful. Both were communicated during the project with us and quite knowledgeable.
We're very pleased with the job . Ixtapa Construction did a fantastic job while respecting the deadline and budget. Jay also helped to correct some problems left by the builders. The crew also did a fantastic job cleaning up after everything was finished. Highly recommend!

A year ago we hired Ixtapa Construction to perform a kitchen and bathroom remodel. (I am sorry I did not leave a review at the time!)
It was time for a different project and Ixtapa Construction was our first call! An quotation was supplied by them and I knew that they'd do an exceptional job. So that they installed a entrance door, all new floors and remodeled our powder room. Wow, we are happy with the ending results!
Our projects were completed and really surpassed our expectations. The crew was friendly, professional and considerate of the time schedule. All the work they have done has really held up with no problems. When we've got our home project, they will be our first and only call!

Our job was projected between 3-4 months and we came in despite the winter weather.  
I'm very delighted with the results. Value and individuals to work with.
Ixtapa did a great job in my flip. The 2 car garage was converted by them and included a new 2 car garage with laundry. The team assisted me to match our current layout and is knowledge,

His pricing is honest, but during my experience, you get what you pay for in this business. Often times, you get bids that are low so they could come in and begin the work not to finish or worse, cause harms. Speak to Alex/Jay, they will work with you.
My deadline was that the beginning of March for the house to be move-in ready. Nothing was being put back together, although February 6th the home gutted. As we were about 22 days from once the house required to be move-in ready, we started to get concerned. I got the contractor runaround and the agreement was chased by me, since I had to be hastened.

I spoke with Alex and then met at the home. Needless to sayhe had been professional. When we were prepared to make a decision, we narrowed it down to yet another building firm and Ixtapa. I regretfully confess, we travelled with the firm . The reason was that the initial bid was lacking a couple of components. I wish I had went back and requested him to revise before making a decision. Truthfully, in my discussions with Jay, I had a feeling that is good. However, all of us make mistakes... Another firm turned out to be a massive disaster (if you want more information, please reach me out ).
Again, incredibly grateful to have met Jay and work with Ixtapa Construction. No job is too small for them, he is an honest craftsman that has a construction-framing background (so that he can build a home from scratch if necessary!) He'll let you know, if he can't do something. But overall, I'm incredibly happy with his service, professionalism and is the sort of person you feel comfortable with around your household (which is also quite important). Along with his team of craftsmen are great to work with also.
That is our remodel of homes we're to live in, therefore it wasn't a totally new venture for us. The first remodel, I worked directly with oversaw/project and a tradesmen managed the job . However, this time with a newborn on the road and a three year old, I did not have the time so we needed to find a GC that was honest, fair and answerable to work with. In total, we met about a dozen General Contractors (neighborhood via Yelp, Craigslist, HomeAdvisors, Houzz, you name it).
The speedy and quick, Ixtapa Construction is the best general contracting firm I have had the pleasure to perform with (I have worked with 3-4 within the last decade). A 4 bedroom, 2 was gutted by me. .5 bath, 2100 sq. ft. house we just purchased and Jay did it handling timing pressure from my afterward 7-month-pregnant spouse who had been reluctant to make the purchase, knowing the work it had.
We knew we were likely to completely gut and remodel the house. We did not alter the outside (no additions) but all things interior of the house were to be redone.
But since our initial meeting last December (2018) Jay remained in touch with me and that he followed with me to see how things were moving.
His Partner, Alex is also great to work with and keeps things organized and organized with all of the moving bits of a building job. Most important to me is that his staff and Jay takes ownership and pride in their own work. Our building job was treated by jay though it was his home. He takes the time to make certain things are done correctly, the first moment. Moving forward, I will always reach out to Jay about my renovation and home improvement needs before heading out and contractors. During my remodel, I'm lucky enough to connect with somebody who I have gotten to know and trust for house remodeling and needs.
I reached out to Jay (at this stage , under immense timing pressure) to determine if he could help. He managed to get me and begin in weekly.
The home came together, ever since then. And while I made adjustments to things and added things, he had been very accommodating and did what he could to help us out.

We purchased. Because of the nature of the company we had time to turn it around. Team Ixtapa cleaned up, installed new tile, painted the building inside/out and upgraded the bathroom. Job completed, on time and on budget.

Jay is a real gem! Ixtapa team remodeled our kitchen afterward our attic and did electrical work too (incredibly fast). Jay was quite attentive, constantly gave us valuable tips. Everything was done in a timely manner and the work was executed. We can't be happy. Each time he found a way. They are extremely competitive and you can definitely trust them! We are planning on converting our garage to ADU next year and there is absolutely no doubt it will be together.

These guys were fantastic. As we all know construction can be slow, costly and stressful. These men proved it does not have to be like that. They made it easy, gave me a great deal and got it fast. Jay was great with communicating in addition to when it comes to contractors Alex, which is also rare. I wasn't disappointed and could use them again.

These guys are very professional and do a fabulous job. When I was in sure of the direction I wanted to go that they were very useful with making and listening suggestions. Guys I would highly recommend them!

5 star experience with Ixtapa. I had a few intensive renovation in my kitchen and cover a door these men were able to knock a wall down and build a different one in a matter of two days. They were blazing fast, but the quality of their work was all of the for an unbeatable price, topnotch. On top of being nice men Jay and alex are extremely knowledgeable and suggestions and their tips while I do some renovation myself were helpful. We are already planning on having them doing some more building work in our garage and our attic which we wish to redesign into a studio. You are in expert hands with Ixtapa, I recommend!

After receiving several quotes and endless internet searches I came across this business and allow me to tell you it had been among the best things that could of happen, Jay and Alex are great to use always on time and they attempt to the top of their capacity to complete the job if they said they'd, I finally have beautiful wood floor in my home for an extremely affordable price and the stuff is topnotch!! Can use them

Hire Jay, and he will surpass your expectations!
In addition to being an honest, reliable, and builder, Jay is simply a nice person to be around and have working in your home. He's a family person and warm, hardworking, and also friendly. We feel really fortunate that Jay was discovered by us and would really like to hire him back for future jobs. My spouse and I have jobs. It was nice to have Jay in charge to repair any problems that came up and locate. It really put us at ease, and we trusted him entirely.
Jay is a fantastic contractor and craftsman. We could not be happier with the work that Jay did with him in our own dealings and in our home. Jay put us entirely at ease, and actually made the remodel pleasant although being pregnant six months and going through a renovation might not be an ideal encounter. We have and was laid out. We had to walk through a bedroom for to a different bedroom. Jay rebuilt a beautiful bedroom for us that we can now use as a nursery and reconfigured out the lay. He was able to close off the room we used to have to walk through, and assemble halls and fabulous closets for us, which makes our home more functional. He took down and rebuilt walls, installed new bamboo flooring, shaker style cupboard doors, doors, crown moulding, and more. He does upgrades you might not expect. He made our floors gave us amazing and seamless lighting that was nicer than that which our previous contractor installed. Jay does not cut corners, and moved beyond our expectations.
