We can't say enough about how much we love Windy City Plumbing! We transferred and half with grand visions for our 1903 home. Over the first month, bank hemorrhaging, the home ownership dreams turned into soul crushing, repair bills - ohhhhh Oak Park houses. Plumbing updates (you know the stuff no one finds, or cares , that aren't quite as gratifying as purchasing furniture) is where our money required to go.
Each time I see Jose and his staff I still bitch and moan that I am seeing them because I know that it's going to set-back my furniture buys again, but I'm so very happy I have them in my court as we begin rebuilding my grand old home fantasies together.
As all new OP home owners appear to perform, I reached out into the OP Facebook groups, the block email listing and Yelp to seek counsel. I got three quotations for our very first issue (2nd floor tub leaking down to first floor upon draining) - one came back with $1k quote, one said he would need to tear the wall up to research and likely order a long lead-time part that would probably be ~$2k, then Windy City came and the clouds parted. They said we didn't require anything aside from a tighten of a hard-to -reach-bolt, he did in approximately 30 minutes. I knew at that instant Windy City and I were about to set out on a lengthy relationship together.
Since that day we have have many visits from his team and Jose. Projects ranging from a small sink strain issue control project. Projects large or small, Windy City has really been useful, informative, reasonably priced AND responsive.
Another 2 quotes were sought by me and discovered Windy City, yet again, to be the most reasonable and honest plumber about.

My mainline was clogged up because of tree roots and desired to get rodded out. I contacted Windy City and companies was the most economical. Adan and chris came out and didn't disappoint. They explained what was happening, didn't waste any time getting to work and cleaned everything up subsequently. Very very pleased with the job and professional service they did.

I recommend Windy City Plumbing! I got in contact through the yelp program with them and they replied. We set up a time and that I gave of my advice to them. I had a drain in my kitchen. I had to leave on a weekend excursion and they came by while my wife was. They called her the moment they knew they were heading to tell her know they were close by. She says they arrived and made her feel very comfortable about what they gave her a cost and needed to do before they started working. Though my drain took some effort they made it working as good as fresh.

$275 for $175 and fracture for any extra breaks. Employees (Chris and Isaiah) were friendly, prompt, professional, and great to work with. I got a call within half an hour for payment by CC. Receipt in seconds through email. I strongly recommend this company!
Had pipes burst at 1AM on Friday. *PSA1* understand where your water shut off is!! Following 30 minutes of hunting that is panic-stricken I was able to get the water to flip off. Msg'ed Windy City Plumbing on Yelp and heard back soon after 8AM. Scheduled for an appointment the next day (SAT) involving 12-1. A phone call they had came. Took just over an hour to locate TWO of those pipes.

I had a plumber quickly, and Windy City Plumbing came . They showed up when they did work guaranteed, and communicated with me during. Super responsive, moderately priced, no hassle. Thanks for the excellent service.

I could not recommend Chris and Windy City Plumbing enough! Following some structure in my building to replace the plumbing, the builders broke several washers, and that were supposed to restore my kitchen clogged dishwasher, the faucet, inducing a string of leaks. I was not able to use my kitchen for around 5 weeks and had no water . Chris managed to repair everything in a matter of hours, providing me access to water in my kitchen and saving me from having to buy a new Grohe faucet ($500+) and Frigidaire dishwasher ($300+) to replace the hardware that was in my unit when I moved in.

Will echo all the other Yelpers here. WCP has been great. We are a condominium association housed in a building that is vintage. There are problems with pipes. WCP and Jose have been great in helping with our plumbing requirements. Responsive and acceptable pricing. He's thorough and professional. Highly recommended.

I needed the flap substituted on my bathroom, a u-joint replaced (I bought a brand new one), a slight leak in my sink, and a weight installed in my kitchen sink sprayer. Because they wouldn't give quote without 11, photographs were sent by me. How can I take an image of this flap within my toilet tank? The quote for a single trip was 800. Really???? No thanks.

I plan on using them again later on. A+

If you need a plumber look no further and call Windy City Plumbing!! Very responsive, fast professional working and reasonable!! We'd sewage backing up in our cellar and within 30 minutes the guys had it removed and cleaned up! Thank you Windy City!

First of all this is the ONLY PLUMBING BUSINESS YOU SHOULD CALL!Jose and he has assisted me and me, respectively in a rainstorm rodding my side gutter.
Came right away,....yeah.

I eliminated a wall hanging bathroom tank to repair the wall in a remodel and when I went to place it up I busted off the old fashioned fill valve and could not figure out how to mend it. Why? Since the original bathroom is 90 years old. Why don't you replace it? Well, it is in a tiny powder room where a newer model would be too large... those few extra inches matter!
These guys are great! Super all around nice, honest and just responsive dudes.
That is where Windy City Plumbing comes from. Turns out they had to saw off the rusted parts to get it off and back up. They also discovered the exact pieces required to fix the rest of the parts of the tank and also re-installed it to"original working order" that was music to my ears.
We called to have the team look. They came out and cleared the pipes and showed us how/where to get this done later on. Gotta love old homes... and fair, responsive plumbers!

I strongly recommend hiring Windy City Plumbing for all of your plumbing requirements and I'll surely be turning for mine to him as well.
We live in a 100+ year old building, and our drain obtained seriously clogged and no DIY fixes resolved the situation, following retiling one of our showers. We reached out to pipes, to make things worse and not one of them had seen an overflow attachment such as the one our bathtub. We began with hiring a different plumber (A Solution Plumbing) and they tried to take some air through the drain to find out if this would help but this caused a variety of different leaks which led to water dripping into our downstairs neighbors' condo and the basement! As a result of this leak, they informed us we would have to cut in the wall and acquaintances' ceiling to substitute our drain and overflow attachments. They offered us so I began to shop around and get quotes from other plumbers.
We decided to proceed with Jose because he offered the deal and had the best reviews after getting other quotes. On the first day, he unfortunately wasn't able because our bathtub was old, to begin the repair, he needed to put in a order for the drain components. He did what he could do to rush the components at no expense to us and rescheduled on a second day, although he was quite apologetic that he hadn't notice from the photographs we sent.
He spent 8 hours working on the repair with his team on the first day, when Jose had the components for the repair. However, because of our construction and plumbing's age, he struck a number of non-standard challenges which required more time. Regardless of this, despite our repair required Jose still came back to finish the repair and still just charged us $950. In the long run, he kept his word!! and did a wonderful job fixing our drain
To top it are extremely reasonable, and jose is a plumber that is fantastic and his entire crew along with he has fantastic customer service!!

Jose and his team did a great job replacing my water heater. It was not a job as my condo does not have a floor drain and the heater is. The men completed the job quicker than I anticipated and brought to drain the old furnace. The utility closet cleaned up once the heater was removed. Their prices are great! I will call Jose for all of my plumbing.

4) After the required replacement component was not easily recognizable, Chris eliminated the component, took it to his supplier for identification, and returned within an hour to Make Certain That the water did not stay shut off
6) All trades, such as quotes and receipts, are handled electronically by email
1) The quotation was considerably lower than that given by other technicians to the same work

'd Jose come out Looked very knowledgeable and Type but felt that we Have a Peek around to Quickly to fully understand the Gap situation came out Friday didn't get Quotes until end of day Monday I could live with just felt like forever so I sent a message through yelp Inquiring if I could Talk to Jose again to Cover the Pipes again so I Could understand a little bit better That They sent a message Stating They'll set a call up but then never followed up with me I called a Couple of Days after got transfered 4 times each time asking what I needed and for my information then Ultimately they Moved me to Joses number and it Had Been Inaccessible lol ahh OK

From start to finish, they had communication that is amazing. The prices were fair. And quickly and professionally fixed our problem with a wonky faucet.
