LJ Brown Plumbing

Any reviewers are either psychotic or talking about other Brown Pipes companies. It can not be this one.
I never received anything less than first class professional service and have used this business several times.
They are replacing my grinder ejector pump for FREE. They arrived thing and left this ugly job a priority. If it breaks during the subsequent 3 years, they will return again. First thing. For free of less.
They lift a wrench without first going over the price, what is covered, the guarantee, etc. and having you sign off on it. LJ Brown isn't the least expensive but they are as professional as they come down to their paper booties.
Try beating on this.

For $600, in a nutshell, the plumber left everything when he began.
A fix to a water line has been also botched, inducing an flow to worsen. Another plumber has repaired it, right this time. The new showerhead is also currently leaking.
This review is really zero stars -- prevent LJ Brown at any cost. There are loads of plumbers you need to hire. This is not one of these.
There appear to be some LJ Brown clients who have not encountered indifference and incompetence. I experienced . But even if you should find good service, LJ Brown will charge you a whole lot greater than other plumbers (as I've since found ).
I wrote and called searching for satisfaction, calling back each time something broke that the plumber had only"fixed", and has been roundly ignored. Interestingly, I didn't get any answer of any sort prior to the 30-day warrranty interval had passed. I finally got some answer once I asked for cash back and threatened a BBB complaint. The answer was, in a nutshell,"screw you".
So the bottom line is, LJ Brown employs at least one roundly incompetent and likely dishonest plumber and is overpriced. LJ Brown's owner is happy to spend the cash and run. I believe it in using Yelp BEFORE I select a service 16, a $600 lesson.
I hired a plumber to handle several tasks in relation with a new condo buy. The business refused to supply quotes, and on arrival quoted rates. $80 to get a showerhead installation (with my part). $312 to clean a drain (I dropped later viewing this cost ). I went forward with the job the plumber could get it right.
Wrong. He ruined a kitchen sink side sprayer before realizing my replacement would not match the water (my fault for having the incorrect part, but he's supposed to be the union plumber here -- and zero stars to the Home Depot associate who said the part has been universal). He ruined the faucet cartridge trying to undo the direction of the flow that was hot/cold, claiming he might have to use a new one and could not reinstall the part. Then he replaced from his parts on hand (for $212) without correcting the hot/cold water alteration.
I found another plumber to replace and fix it. However, as it turned out that the cartridge was installed incorrectly and leaked. I just replaced the faucet.
Do not use LJ Brown. And feel free to let them know I said.
Since the unwanted sprayer was now destroyed, the sink would have to remain off before I could find a new part, which he offered to install when he returned for $300 or so. This coversation had the sense of a shakedown.
I filed a BBB complaint. Learn the facts and the person who owns the business has refused to speak with his customer. He did reply to the BBB criticism using a raft of ad hominem attacks. You can view them this is the mentality of LJ Brown. I will note that the BBB closed the case since I told them . The point of the filing was to warn folks about this dreadful business, to not accumulate cash,

Call me old school, but I like stuff like this.
Wow... only got a handwritten note in the mail from the company stating that they thank us for our small business and were sorry they weren't able to help us solve our issue.

This company was fantastic. We have had them outside a few events, and the technicians have been personable professional, efficient, honest and upfront about price and necessary repairs. They are not the company out there, as other reviewers have stated, but understanding a job is going to be done by a professional is well worth a little more, in my book. Additionally, we have never had to wait for over a day for exceptionally necessary services (clogged toilets, clogged principal sewage line out of the home )... they have always been able to squeeze us in. Glad we found them and I would recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Woke up Saturday to find my water heater leaking badly. Telephone LJ Brown, left a message with their answering service. Had a call back in Dan and 4 minutes in my door step an hour after. Fresh water heater installed and he was out the door by noon. This company understands the definition of customer services. Thanks AGAIN!

This company is great and Dale was awesome! There was a mix-up regarding my appointment and Dale waited for me to find home and took the service fee off my invoice (even though he'd made two trips to my home ).
I couldn't have asked for a more educated, customer-oriented business.

We have been using LJ Brown Plumbing for many years now and each time have been satisfied with their work and dedication to detail. We live in Schaumburg and they have no problem coming out here. Mr. Allen did our final work and we were blown away with the consequences. We will constantly call them. They stand behind their work. You get what you pay for - Truly!
