After getting little assistance from our insurance, in helping to cover anything, Mr. Capps interceded for us and did everything he could to help. He made me feel like there was someone to get a change in MY corner. That, to me, is invaluable and rare today.
It is obvious to me that, Mr. Capps GOES ABOVE & BEYOND for his clients. For us and he has made a customer for life, he sure did.
We had been having a continuing problem of flooding in our kitchen coming from our upstairs neighbor's garbage disposal and dishwasher (yuck!) As this is a continuing issue that demanded plumbing maintenance, I have had to telephone Mr. Capps (the owner) about this problem after hours, on Saturdays and even holidays and he ALWAYS took my telephone called me back straight away.
When Ryan & Tom came out to perform the task, Mr. Capps came shortly after to track the situation personally. We were reassured by him and talked us thru the procedure and what to expect. Meanwhile, Ryan & Tom cheerfully answered all my (probably inane) queries as they worked.
The worst company. Don't ever use them! The techs are liars. I was given an estimate of $300 + to replace a part in my shower faucet because it is going to require at least an hour for the job by them. The next thing you know they fix it in 15 minutes. What is transpiring is. They charged me $425... hidden fees added up.
So I receive a written response from the business, two and a half a year after my initial review.
There are better, more reputable technicians out there.
Please choose carefully, When you've got a plumbing emergency.
Guess what? The cast iron pipe isn't leaking, after fresh solder joints were installed. After the valve was tightened, and there hasn't been any leaking from the copper pipe.
It advised me to update my initial review.
Have a look at the one-star reviews this organization is getting. And all associated with customer service, and charges that were exorbitant.
Nothing has been substituted, as Capps advocated and suggested to perform. It's still the copper pipe that is exact same, the exact same cast iron. No leaks.
Very quick and friendly support. Not inexpensive, but for our situation, worthwhile.
We had a pipe during the deep freeze that is new. They thawed the pipe without having to cut into any flooring, walls, or ceiling (using electricity).
I proceeded to tell him he could leave I'll call another company and if he can't figure out what to do. He tells me they'll say the same thing. He left and I phoned Capps to speak to an owner (I demanded immediately).
Off & on, for months, my toilet gets clogged really easily. Plunging it takes. My toilet also does phantom flushes. Till It bubbled at the bottom of the toilet, my toilet came up in the bottom and following the tank filled up again last night, the water slowly drained out. When I flushed the toilet it continued to perform the same. I decided it was best to try plunging it since there's only 1 bath where I reside. After about 15 minutes, the toilet began to flush correctly. And, no nothing was put down the toilet nor was anything flushed before that would have obstructed the bathroom.
I stated there's not any backup, it's getting clogged. When the preceding toilet did the exact same thing, which it did 16, he asked me. So, the man tells me there is nothing wrong... He had no equipment with him, did not explore further. Because the toilet was flushing correct at that specific moment, somehow exactly what I was saying was insignificant.
Edit Tues 7/31/18: The toilet won't stop running without the surface of the tank off & jiggling the flapper string taken. Fantastic thing there's"NOTHING" incorrect.
Edit: interesting to see other reviews where people have also experienced complete incompetence in addition to extreme rudeness.
Edit Mon 7/30/18: A different Plumbing firm showed up this morning at 9am on time. Turns out, there's a flange that is broken. Thank you Capps for assisting me prevent what could have been a disaster!!! NOT.
Save yourself the time and expertise CALL somebody else!
I did predict a company that is different rather, who agreed sitting there flushing a toilet over and above isn't the means every time a client was experiencing difficulties off & on to investigate.
I am rather happy I wasted my Saturday to be told to close up by the proprietor and to be told over and above that nothing was wrong. His company gets a bad review on websites because of the unprofessionalism. Thank you for wasting my time, you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope no one is intelligent enough to predict somebody or else else has a similar experience.
Because of the continued randomness, I predicted Capps pipes to have somebody come to take a look. In 830am that I recieved a call that stated a plumber will be here later in the morning and that I would find a call 30 mins beforehand. Okay, so that was great, or so I believed.
At I phoned Capps to find an update. Was advised the plumber had been on something taking longer than expected on a different website and called back, but he would be there in just a bit. Okay, it occurs no bid deal. The man shows up at 2pm, again it occurs so no big deal.
I told him how my toilet was performing arbitrary phantom flushes, it disturbs really easily and showed him my video. He flushes it goes to the toilet and tells me there is nothing wrong with it. I said that there's 1 bath in my place, I spent 20 minutes so it would work stirring it . He places a few toilet paper from the toilet and flushes it . Tells me , nothing else is wrong. I flushes on its own, and explained it has clogged easily, again. It usually requires 20 minutes of stirring to fix it.
So a couple of minutes after I receive a call back, from Randy who's an owner, who in a furious tone goes"it's Saturday afternoon and I am being paged." Apparently, I was interupting his Saturday day, like I had nothing important to get done myself. I began to explain how I had been called at 830 am telling me someone would be here late morning. Randy interrupts me and says it had been. I said alright, can I complete? So I start again Randy tells me to SHUT UP in a rude tone of voice and interrupts me. I was not going to permit a individual so I hung him up.
Asked if I had the receipt for when it was replaced and he took off the top to look, which I did and it had been replaced by Capps in 2016. Something isn't right, and I said alright although he said it's been too long for the guarantee and it has to be fixed. The man tells me it's not the toilet and it's likely something lower down such as pipes or the main. That I responded with, so are you not going to get anything? Then he explained likely other folks using water at precisely the exact same time in the building is causing it.
Do not make the exact same mistake. We had a horrible experience with this sham of a provider. While the workers were polite and looked decent but what else about the procedure was dreadful. Said to be one difficulty they charged us $650 plus nothing. We call back about getting a person back to our 13, they play with matches and it is 5 hours after we had been informed they'd arrive if he does appear. It's suddenly an entirely unrelated issue which was never mentioned at the initial visit. This provider is terribly unethical and we never would have used them, if we had seen those reviews with issues. All they care about is collecting the fee that is $68 for coming back out. Save yourself the time, aggravation and money we dealt with. Can't trust the Organization
I've used Capps several times. Unimpressed with Joe (owner). Had a guy did not even have the size key to close off my water main. Needed to phone the village to perform it for me. Had a water valve had to phone them back since it leaked. Watch out because of their promises... They say something, but if time comes to have warranty work - they will make you cal back several times then Joe will clarify the way the guarantee means something completely different. Get a comprehensive statement of guarantee written on your reception. Won't conduct business with Capps. Oh, when they encounter... They will slap stickers throughout your stuff by using their phone number. Plus they bill agency calls... Umm, is not the price of regular business for them? That's like charging your company for your commute every day to work.
04/20/18 - Don't see any incentive to attempt Capps again. Put simply, Joe is an ass. There are loads of other pop and mom plumbers I would support to help put food on the dining table with.
Anthony arrived to look at our pipes and has been at our place for some time. He was so clean and professional. He had been thorough and made sure my father turned up to speed on everything he had been doing. After he finished, he gave us directions and cleaned up on the best way best to keep the pipes clean and unclogged. My father then talked to the company's owner and he gave my daddy more information and was very professional. Great team, fantastic service.
Called Capps after having a plumber come out and quote me an estimate replaced. The plumber had a high cost for the ejector. Dan from CAPPS installed backup pump with battery, a brand new sump pump, and also a brand new ejector and came out to my house. The job proved to be a clean one with no dangling cords. Dan wore shoe covers was careful, and while walking through my house. He was polite and explained the functions of maintenance, the warranty, and this system .
Job CAPPS! I'll be contacting you with any plumbing problems in the future.
Needed plumbing assistance. Fortunately, Capps is reactive quickly. Got my repairs scheduled. Anthony was on-time pleasant and efficient. He explained what needed quoted the cost to be achieved and fixed it. Wish I didn't want the aid but thankful Capps and Anthony were about to help.
I would not advise this plumbing company to anyone! They were supposed to return on Friday between 4 and 1. . .4pm arrived and call or no snow. My mother named Capps and they said someone would be coming out and nobody showed up. Business and I will tell everyone to stay away from them. So many other plumbing businesses. My parents phoned another company and told them and they said they never heard of never showing up. Very ridiculous!
Ryan and nick from CAPPS Mended ALL of our Pipes issues, went ABOVE and BEYOND. In the future I know I am a valued client and the problem will be corrected by CAPPS, when something was not fixed! Glad to say they've revived my trust to get the business completed and regained me as a client.
They came out & billed my condominium institution to have a look and give an estimate. They billed for that which took them 2 hrs 45 minutes $2850. Their work collapsed the next day!!!! & was leaking again
If I were you, I'd stay away.
Greedy Rip Off Artists.
Please save yourself from this firm! I phoned my handyman because I believed I had a bathroom in the basement. My handyman opens the doorway and went straight to the furnace area. There's water all over the floor. The ejector pump was unplugged from an air duct cleaning firm I had at my home. My handyman recommends Capps. Knowing I could justify getting reimbursed by the air duct firm and desperate to find sewer water, I call the day, Capps and they get someone to my home. Nick says we want a fresh ejector pump. When he said they could correct it on the 14, I was so grateful and it would only take about an hour. They were almost finished but I needed to leave to pick my kids up from school. When he'd be done nick was asked by me and he said 10 minutes. I said I want to leave and I will be back over 20 minutes. He suggests I sign the work order and leave my charge card and he'll lock up. I see the mathematics on the bill - $915, which comprises a excursion fee that is $68. Hmmm...a excursion fee? I have seen that excursion fee waived when repairs have been billed but okay...I wonder it and he states yup, excursion fee remains. I leave the credit card, sign my name and leave. The copy of the invoice is sitting there. He writes from the description which the"ejector pump has been clogged with wet wipes". Not true. The ejector pump has been unplugged in the air duct firm I asked nick about these"flushable wipes" that I occasionally use on my kids and he said not to use them but he didn't see any clogging the pump up. This is the truth. I call Capps and Speak . I explain I noticed that wipes were the reasoning for its ejector pump requiring replacement and want to submit the bill for reimbursement. She immediately gets an attitude with me and says that is I signed and exactly what the technician wrote down. She states she will escalate to management after arguing back and forth. I tell her to please update the bill. She again says she will"escalate to upper management." She calls me back and claims that the wipes comment will not alter but will include the bit about it being unplugged. I argued I paid $915 for a service and Nick didn't write the correct reasoning for this. Renee refused to alter it let me speak to anyone or nick. She explained was, I signed it. (But I didn't because I had to leave and all that has been written down once I signed it was the dollars.) Wish me luck getting reimbursed. I trusted that the men to wrap up the service call while I picked my children up from school, and they go and compose an entire lie on the paperwork. Wow.
Regarding cost they're similar as others in the business.
I was extremely happy with them and have done two jobs. The previous job put in battery backup which comprised pipe function and just two pumps. As always they did a job that includes warranty.
I've a very old home with shifted and cracked tiles which became visible after power jetting the machine and using an inspection camera. I know exactly what I want to get done to get this fixed and I'll call Capps. Thanks for your guys and the staff. You ought to be proud of the people you employee.
Thanks are at my home today and Capps Plumbing! Addison and mike came out checked what went on with my pipes backing up. There is a lot going on and together with the sewer camera that I had been able to see. I understand I've some future work but for the time being we have pipes that escapes!!! Have topnotch state of the are equipment and id like to say the guys are very professional, well dressed. . I didn't like spending the cash but lets just say I was not about to this job myself.
Joe and his crew are excellent straight forward people.they are extremely professional and reasonable.Im referring them to anyone that need good plumbers.
Employed your company lately, never Joe no need to contact me,you know exactly what your doing, big mistake in my part calling on you for support...
Saturday we had a two guys from Capps come out and replace a spigot in addition to a water tank from the back yard that had not been operable in the past five years. I can't say enough about the professionalism of both gentlemen and I felt comfortable after talking about the work required to Anthony he sent out. They were down to company also friendly and I want to know what was being performed. The man helped to lift the tank. This wasn't the first time. They exchanged our tank . I'm sorry they weren't my call for this particular undertaking. The first place we predicted desired 2400.00 for just installing and purchasing the tank . The next place needed 1900.00 for the work as well. However, the reduced estimate we received did not two jobs for a lot less than Capps. The only reason we did not call them is that was on a weekend and they were shut and we did not require emergency support. They will be the people we call for any plumbing needs. You will not be sorry....call CAPPS!
The business wrote a response asking me to call them back so that they can look after it. Why would I ever call back when I spoke to the OWNER? If the business wants to look after the situation it should refund me the cost of the pit cover I never ought to have been billed me for in the first place. It'll save me the time of calling the better business bureau and disputing the charge with my credit card business.
