Called The Drain Guy Searching for service for a Theater I GM at Cambridge. I got a response, and a great one. My info was shot, and Matt called me himself. Said he finished up a job in Somerville and would head over.
90 minutes Matt pulled up, asked for me and we moved off. Showed him the trouble areas, he moved to work, and assessed with me to explore his process. About a second 90 minutes later, he was completed together with my trouble urinal and the issues of toilet.
Following a couple of plumbers bailed on us earlier in the week (and one this morning) I was mostly expecting a standard brush-off response, or a voicemail.
Clear communication demeanor, quality work.
Figuring out as scheduled. Performed the service but was impatient. The man keeps rushing his work and wanted to leave. They did the work but that I give a 3 stars for racing his job to them.
Matt explained the problem, showed up immediately, was fantastic and resolved it. They called at that time and I asked for him to come at a given time on a Sunday and arrived by less than an hour. Price is reasonable, I will use them .
The technician came out because our toilet was clogged (there was a number of woodchips that had been flushed down). Right as soon as the technician arrived it smashed for the very first time Though we tried to flush it for a couple of days.
So he snaked it , then removed it to make certain nothing was stuck inside, Nevertheless, it was acting oddly. He replaced the bathroom with a new wax ring.
The reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because I noticed when he abandoned; his snake instrument left a huge scratch on the inside of the toilet bowl. I noticed the tool looked like it had been all-metal. Have vinyl at the finish. So maybe they require a instrument that is new.
Had a major pipe in the cellar which was clogged. We attempted to snake ourselves but the issue was further into the pipe and our snake couldn't attain it. That the next day I called Matt and he was able to come down 1 hour following the call. He is friendly and professional. His approach to handling the problem was systematic professional, and tidy. A lot of builders can probably do exactly the exact same thing but will charge you more and make a mess. He does not exploit you. We need more men like him not as a drain guy but attitude and his work ethic. No problem recommending him to friends and loved ones.
A neighbor friend when hearing our plight advocated Matt"The Drain Guy" and said that he was the best. I called Matt and obtained his call center and he returned my call within minutes. I told him and that I was also waiting for support from the big name firm. Matt explained he can definitely help me but that he was in the process of finishing the following service call and that if we did not want to wait he could know.
As others have said Matt was professional and friendly, being cautious moving. He clarified the issues he may encounter and what he was likely to perform. Quickly he managed to snake our sewer main and make sure that it was draining 100%. Matt cleaned all dirt and debris up. If ever I need drain support again Matt"The Drain Guy" will be my first call, I want that more support contractors were like The Drain Guy, good honest men and women who do not attempt to gouge customers in a time of need.

The major sewer line of our home had backed up and clogged Saturday night to Sunday morning and all attempts to snake the problem. I called the typical 24 hour large name support firm that rhymes with Toto Pooper a bit before noon and then proceeded to wait for 7 hours for support after being given a four hour support window and dealing with an extremely unfriendly dispatch center that didn't appear to care that we had no access to water or the toilet daily.
We decided to take whomever showed up . The big name firm showed after 7 hours, the estimate for the work was expensive but I figured that's what we get for trying to get support. I called Matt back to cancel my service call but asked him whether he can give an estimate for the work that was quoted to me. The Drain Guy quote was half of what was quoted from the big name firm. I told Matt we be on his way and would wait for him and he explained that he had finished his other call. Inside one hour Matt was at our door.
I would suggest The Drain Guy to neighbors, friends, family, and fellow yelpers. He is your man, if you want the task.
Matt when our garbage disposal blocked up was called by us and our kitchen sink drain was clogged. After a different plumber called us back, we had found him on Yelp and realized that he was just a few blocks away! The answering service answered and Matt himself called us back in about 10 minutes - .
Given our location he came over about an hour. For coming on a Sunday night, no extra fee. No BS. Upfront with reasonable price.
He fixed itand we chatted the entire time as we asked a thousand questions. Matt cleaned everything up himself, which was unexpected.
I called on a shower drain on a Saturday night - the following morning, Matt called me back and scheduled an appointment. He got the work done fast and for a price that is reasonable, and was very friendly professional, even booties to protect the floors. I strongly recommend The Drain Guy and could call again!
Matt was fine came , place on booties so that he didn't get my flooring dirty, cleaned all the nastiness and shielded my floors from toilet sketchiness. Fixed my toilet. Didn't BS me. Charged me exactly what he offered. Adamantly denied suggestion. Additionally, simple payment, money check or charge card with receipt. Etc etc etc.. Great guy, highly recommend him. I won't need to call him but when I've any drain difficulties, am grateful that he was discovered by me .
Just moved into a new place once I noticed a flow around my toilet. Yuck. I understand plumbers can exploit people . Has been and called a few locations on yelp told I needed to wait till January or that it would $300 just to get a diagnosis. Fortunately got a hold of Matt who was available almost instantly (it was the weekend) and could work with my unpredictable schedule.
Came the night before Thanksgiving to clear our bathroom sink drain. Incredibly professional, quite personable and did a great job. Definitely recommend him!
