The service that is scheduled call from the internet form. I must pick the date and time window I wanted. A call was letting me know the tech was on his way.
Was pleased with everything. The price seemed high as I did not shop around, but he was honest and said Roto-Rooter was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive... That made me feel better. ;)
Fred was professional and answered every question I had. He snaked the most important line from the home to the street. We knew what we had as we have trees. He made sure that the line was clear by thorough testing.

I live in Portland Oregon but had to locate a plumber for my mother nearby Shoreview Minnesota. Based on location, reputation and testimonials New Brighton, Roto-Rooter was picked by me. My mother reported friendly, professional service along with excellent customer service if she needed to call the office for a followup topic. I recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup. They are good enough!

Crooks! They arrived to unclog the kitchen sink, stated there would be no fee. Quoted $300 to fix the sink- they started flooding the basement and doing their incompetence led to a gap in the drain pipe and the job. They had another person come out to estimate that job and they wanted to charge $800 to fix anything they broke. Never use this company!

The manager explained that Roto-rooter doesn't use smaller blades because they can get stuck in the sewer main, which necessitates an excavation. I can appreciate that is a responsibility for the company to take on.
Since he couldn't unclog our sewer main the tech was nice and didn't charge us.
Before you dig, get a second opinion.
I am leaving up this review because I'd like to convey to people who are looking for advice - like we were, they are in a crisis situation.
Got a 2nd opinion the following day from Cardinal technicians, they were able to drill through the origins and unclog the drain main using smaller blades. The price was reasonable and didn't include a dig.
The whole thing felt like high pressure sales and we told him we'd wait on such a decision.
Nonetheless, in the middle of a sewer main emergency (or any emergency really), the most anyone can hope to get is useful information. I am attracted to companies who give expert counsel, EVEN if it means directing me into more technical companies. As I called around to other pipes, 3 firms told me that if there were origins in the main, the line could for sure open. And sure enough they did.
We may use roto in the future for maintenance root elimination, but not to get a professional opinion.
Update: I was contacted by Roto-rooter with their business and this review that is negative about this experience.

Service #4348 Josh Came out to fix flooring drain was backed up by my Christmas day after I had another plummer come out and do nothing bill my wife he didn't do. Josh was professional and and understood what he was doing and had my own drain. I would advise Roto Rooter to anyone who needs a drain. After getting a lot of water on the floor saved me a lot of trouble and needing to cancel the celebration.

Very happy with Josh #4348....came in great time for the ceremony....was quite knowledgeable about the job that needed to be done. Quite helpful.

Wow. When I called themthey were unable to escape until the next day. I explained that we'd one bathroom and that I would keep that appointment but had to phone around to try to find someone tonight.
Amazing that when I called back to cancel they had someone that was available to come out. Obviously, I didn't use them. This place has poor advertisement of 24/7 support that signifies 8:00am-5:00pm.

So I ask, is it wrong that I wish to see a menu of pricing for solutions?
So I get my bill (you never see a price list) and am told that I am being given 50% off of the price for the 2nd lineup so he is not employing any of my coupons because he is"saving me money" in the long run. Hmmmmm.
The guy says things have been slow but as someone who is operating a pt job searching for FT work, I consider that slow on my end also (at least the $ coming into my pocket ).
I pay and he leaves and I sit there for a little, getting rather pissed so I predict. I talk to a manager and he describes to me exactly the exact same pricing that the guy gave me in the long run, I am still feeling as though I got bad deal because in the long run, you don't really know the issue or if the pricing only happens to be to you and if you're getting charged for services you don't need.
Feeling dirty. I've used them in the past. Was happy and remembered their guidance of preventive maintenance. Makes sense because it's something which you do with automobiles, etc.. So I make the telephone starting to get that intermittent funky smell in the basement.
In addition, I come ready with my $50 off coupon and a 30% off coupon for a"2nd line" support as a dollar in my household goes a little further today then it has in the past.
So in the long run, I want to recommend Roto Rooter (who else is there? ) ) But come on, show me a few pricing. Ya got ushered also a Twitter account, FB webpage, blog, Google +, YouTube and a website. How about a page that tells me up front what you bill? It is possible to place your legalese spin on that in the event you want to control.

Josh #4348Same evening, weekend support. Josh gave a four hour window to us to be at our house and checked in twice to tell us where he was at. The problem was with the laundry floor drain and he left the area cleaner than once he found it (it was pretty grimey from when it had backed-up).
Very impressed. Will use again.

The whole team was prompt and very professional. The technician, Derek (#4349) was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did he fix the issue, but things were explained by him as he travelled and made suggestions for self maintenance that will certainly be useful.

We had water just pouring out of a pipe when the upstairs shower was utilized and discovered that the neighbors at our duplex were experiencing similar difficulties, our tech Fred (#4155) was simply awesome. He did all the work. He explained the problem was affected for both units and repaired it because the neighbors weren't available. Thank you Fred, you rescued 4 people from having to share

We had a plumbing issue every method listed online tried and at which the water at the kitchen sink wasnt draining because he was not able to clog the drain and after 2 days we gave up. Roto-Rooters were predicted by us and our appointment was schedule. #4348 Josh who arrived at our house was not able to clog our drain. He was quick, friendly and very courteous. He also gave advice on how best to block it in the future. I would recommend Roto. Thank you!

Our plumber Steve recognized the issue, came out after and came back two weeks later to work with our program to relieve drain problem-o slows we've had forever.
Tub drain problem and bathroom sink he worked wonders . We can not wait to shower again that the water problem is the drain down literally!
Steve took care of the problem also was fun and explained exactly what he had been doing.
-2 Hour windows so not waiting all day
Would recommend to anyone in need.

I wish I would have called these guys to start with. Poor. They give a complimentary consultation/ analysis and were approximately $50.00 cheaper then another place I called using the $25.00 fee just to come out.
-24/7 Service, however after 10:30pm it may be more, but they are readily available.

It's causing bathroom water (yuck) to find all over the basement. I noticed this problem and was happy to observe that Roto-Rooter is available on Sundays.
I asked how much time it would be till they arrived and they said they would nevertheless be 1.5-2 hours out. I have to get back to work, so I can not stick around and wait. I simply can not believe I would be having to make a THIRD appointment at this stage with them. My problem is not fixed, although I guess I am glad they called and didn't leave me in the lurch.
I realized I never asked for a quote, so I called that evening and was advised they don't give estimates over the phone. For having to come out here, not even their base price. I was confident that I could tell the technician if the price didn't work for me, that I didn't need the service. That seemed a little weird to me.
I can not testify to the quality of their job, but I don't think I will be calling them again.
This is not what I thought it was. I really don't have parts for this. They will need to listen better." SERIOUSLY!?! He then said,"Maybe they just wanted to make you joyful and send out someone here now." Well, why would it make me happy if I still have plumbing issues???
I predicted, a dispatcher responded, I explained my problem, and she explained that the tech would arrive between 4pm-7pm exactly the exact same day (Sunday). Perfect. The dispatcher known around 4pm to allow me to know the technician was on the road for my"floor drain backup" (maybe not the issue ). I adjusted her and explained the issue.
He called dispatch himself described the issue again (the exact same way I did, for the record), also gave me a fresh window of Monday from 8am-10am for another tech to come out. I would have to miss work to wait for someone to show up, but okay, I figured I would give them another chance.

Timely and comprehensive service. Brian was clear in his explanations and left the work area clean and tidy.

I realize that I must have called these men to begin with after trying others with less than excellent results. Serviceman Chachi was outside about an hour after I called. Got right on the problem and had everything working nicely and back together in about one hour. Longtime drain problem fixed.

Very prompt service. The service person was clarified the work nicely and he was very professional. The price was fair and he gave me the coupon discount although I failed to provide the coupon to him.

These guys came to fix my kitchen sink. Very prompt service, although the technician might have been a bit nicer. Overall happy sink had been problematic for a while. A buddy recommended to me them.
