If I could, I would give Bob and Allied a bonus celebrity! I live some support an aging parent in the distance and distance away from DC. Imagine my panic and dread when I discovered that the AC in our DC family house stopped functioning, during a heatwave no more. I contacted a few businesses and Allied responded fast (on a weekend) and had turned to a repair in under a day.
Bob was prompt, offered a clear explanation on the essence of our repair/replacement, along with a fair price. Bob was individual as my loved ones and I worked through details about payment and onsite visit. What might have been a situation has been handled effectively, empathetically, and the utmost professionalism.
DO NOT TRUST ALLIED SERVICES. THERE ARE MANY OTHER HVAV Providers, AND I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO CALL SOMEONE ELSE... ANYONE ELSE.
Bob never showed up for our appointment and never contacted me to reschedule or to describe his lack.
Bob's voicemail prompt talks about the significance of your (missed) telephone, but it appears that his customers are not important to him whatsoever. Action is the most reliable and best measure of a organization's principles and values.
How can they be trusted to do the work, if a vendor can't manage to show up when promised?
It's hard managing a home repair project but my worries eased together and forth dialog answering questions before beginning and providing updates with the project.
Outstanding experience working with a company for setup of A/C that is fresh.
Job well done at reasonable price and delivered as promised. Could not ask for more.
We have used Bob many times today. First our heater was replaced by him we moved in to our new home in December and quickly learned it was broken. The second time was our AC once we got home from out of town to learn that it was broken and 90 levels in our home. And in addition, he replaced our water heater we called, same day. Service is quick, dependable and prices are fair. Highly recommend Bob and the group!
Excellent support and professionalism! I had my rooftop AC replaced and then scrutinized. Allied came out on very short notice, came on time both days, brought all the tools they had (this had been a problem with different companies), assessed the issue, explained them I understood and was willing to talk about options . The pricing has been competitive and the job was done quickly and competently. I will be using Allied for all my future needs.
This is a followup review from my one. Robert has done it again! This time my HVAC system went kaput. So I decided I will replace my water heater and my HVAC. Robert came in give me a quote next day. If I could Find this level of support for every thing that I needed life would be grand
The next day a professional from a legitimate business came over. He explained that the one Bob set up was used, broken, and rusted out when I said the capacitor. Now I had to pay for a capacitor AND a motor, although the problem was the engine.
Bob is a crook who stole a part of my HVAC. When my air conditioning broke before July 4, I sent a couple requests on Yelp. Bob showed up and responded. I thought it should be looked at by someone, although at the moment, my system had started working again. After seeing the condenser, Bob assured me that the problem was I had a fresh"capacitor," which would be 200. I said okay, and he installed it. After he did, the air conditioning stopped working together. When I asked him about error messages on my furnace, he said he doesn't know anything about Carrier units (the top selling HVAC from the country!) .
Also note that some of his reviews are from people outside of the DC region, which is quite suspicious.
Bob got soot all over my windowsill and door to add insult to injury. DO NOT USE THIS GUY.
Allied was presumed to have fixed some plumbing issues when we bought our apartment. The previous owners showed us the reception, so that I understand they came out - but the issue (a loose bathroom ) wasn't fixed. I called and emailed several times. They kept saying they'd come out but never did. I even called the DC customer complaints people. Allied told them they'd fix the issue but they didn't respond to my calls and email.
Finally, a company!! Had a crisis with my HVAC within my home, called the following day. Bob was quite professional, reliable, and did what he said he went to do, which for me personally, is exactly how a company should be run. Definitely recommend them for your HVAC emergencies:-RRB-) Thank you, Bob!!
We've had some run ins with builders in the region but our interactions with Bob were the cure to what ails us! Employ him for any heating or demand.
His group and bob are stone. He was responsive, flexible, and made every effort to meet our needs during the process. He handled our insurance company so we didn't need to, finished installation of a brand-new AC system on time, and has been a delight to use.
In addition to being scrupulously honest, always striving to find you, the customer, the best price and best merchandise, Bob is. He has a heart that will not let him allow folks swelter or freeze -- not if he could help it!
I recommend Allied Service Company for you.
Bob Grable, owner and operator of Allied Service Company, is a qualified and experienced professional who can assist you with all of your HVAC, plumbing and other residence and/or company mechanical system service installation and maintenance needs.
No muss, no fuss. Bob rental & did the work & I and went. That's all.
So, all in all. . .Just. Don't. Sorry if a POSSIBLY innocent Allied'm hurting here, but thems the breaks -- it is YOUR subcontractor. that is hired/vouched-for, right??
Cannot, cannot recommend against that more. 1) For starters, 150 for 15 mins of work snaking the bathroom? 2) Left a complete wet mess and cleanup is not included in the 150. 3) Zero warning/mention of all CASH/CHECK ONLY. No CC. 4) Major insulting of intellect with"Now nooormally, it is 250. Pfft, c'mooon. 5) And there was also a lot of other apparently crazy shady stuff together with the cost and billing not worth going into detail about. But he couldnt react to any of my questions/objections or kept going back on apparently easy minor things and using"subcontractor" status as justification for everything, like saying,"Yeah it is absurd that he doesn't accept CCs. I know I do." So I inquired why doesnt he bust out the Square and get reimbursed, but nope--he"forgot" it. Or first claimed he didn't have official invoice docs. . .but afterward he did when I stated cover. I also unfortunately realized I was signing the yellow customer copy the whole moment. Additionally, it is not standard to make out checks to the person (vs. company), right? Def sooomething shady there, although can't say exactly what May and Allied.
I would not hesitate to recommend his group and Bob. Professional function at a speed when he says it will be carried out, performed.
Can't conquer on.
Bob and his crew have serviced 3 possessions for me and I have had nothing but excellent outcomes. He is always on time, will give you an honest estimate up front and perform the job in a timely manner, also follows up/visits the house if there are some problems, actual or perceived.
Our flat had a plumbing congestion which I couldn't clear. Bob came out an hour earlier than initially expected (which was great for me), got the work done, and billed me what he had quoted. Professional, Quick, and a good job done.
Well now its 2016 (the day of my birthday party), and the entire unit keeps freezing and he states" You want to replace it" He offers me a quotation. . The following day, comes back and sets the unit that is brand new in and I'm fantastic! Both times Bob arrived, I had a house full of people and no atmosphere! How mad is that!
Bob came to my home back in 2014(the day of my wedding reception) when my Freon was reduced, and in 20 minutes he said"I'm back in a couple of years since you've got a small escape but nothing to worry about at this time."
Support that was horrible was provided by bob although I've never meet this man nor did he do work in my house. All I had was a lousy 5 minute conversation with him and knew he's a hustler. Lets me just start off with I have never had experience no one respond to my request regarding a quote with"It's $250 have you got the money or not?" When I said yes, Bob explained,"well alright" and hung up the phone . Not to mention he had been very condosending and disrespectful during the short time he was engaged by me. He continues to puff, huff and sigh on the telephone if I were bothering him. So, I asked "are you busy? If I call you back when your spare"and his response was (using a voice that is elevated ) well yea; I'm! Busy. To further illustrate Bob lack of professionalism would be after waiting several hours to callback to let me know he had been on his way. He had his contractor, Bobby call me to inform me,"Bob won't be out now because he is waiting in your role for the furnance" and"the role will probably arrive in the afternoon". In that I was amazed because how can Bob purchase a part for my furnace when he hadn't seen my furnaces so why or how would you purchase a components. According to my experience using Bob I concluded his company is a scam and he lack professionalism on multiple levels. He had been lie, disrepect, condosending and rude as the customer that is potiential and therefore I don't recommend anyone seek services. I can only assume Bob was due to he thought he was my only option considering it's Christmas eve. You thought wrong, Bob! You erroneous!
WTF?!
Frantic, you run errands and slip open the door. You're not sure what you're taking a look at. It is metal, boxy, and creating a sound. But maybe not the sound it typically makes when it keeps you warm. This is a sound.
You run upstairs, even more frantically because things are becoming real. Fast. You grab your phone and start Googling things. Furnace. Cold. Help. Some amounts are found by you and call them all. No one is helpful. Everyone sucks. You turn on a room heater give up and settle for what could be the end.
You keep your home warm with the space heater and lots of cooking. Towels at the doorways. Water away and pipes emptied at night. Two days go by. That you call all the HVAC people who said they'd visit on Monday monday morning. You aren't remembered by them. Everyone sucks. Then, you call Bob at Allied Service Co.. He's within 3 hours when your street hasn't been plowed. Your own furnace is fixed by him. He only charges you a basic fee. He shakes your hand and leaves to go rescue different people. As he leaves your home, you see his cape.
Imagine this. You roll out of bed to observe the snow still falling and go downstairs to get a hot cup of coffee (tea). You glance at the thermostat. You glance at the thermostat . A third moment.
Bob and his staff are great. They helped me pass an HVAC review that my General Contractor left me outside to dry . Ended up remedying the review write-up and purchasing a new furnace. The job was completed in a couple of hours and not a single shred of evidence that they were at my house besides the heat purring out of my vents. Thanks Bob.
What's so difficult about returning a phone call to say, or answering the phone:
It's frustrating when a contractor commits to appear commits to help you from a maintenance problem that is tough, and never does, and refuses to react to the phone call.
Simple professionalism. But not my experience with Bob.
B ) Here's a recommendation for who might have the ability to help you.
That is what Bob in Allied Services did to me.
A) I am not likely to have the ability to make the appointment and help you, sorry, and
