So we chose to provide another try to Discount Plumbing toilet in master bedroom clogged. We did! They sent Kenneth who as it turns out was the original plumber who came to assist us out the first time we predicted. He snaked our bathroom, removing some tree roots plugging our drain up, determined that we gave recommendations, and had two sewer lines that each need to be medicated for origins. Quick, competent, same-day service. . .and on a Sunday too!
Update to my previous reviews: sounds like that man Joe no longer works with this business anymore so that's a relief:-)

The pipes tech Felix came out, he unclogged the pipe and ran the snake. He was quite informative about the replacement of my sewer line (which was the original reason for the appointment). I finally have the capability. Thanks for a educational and prompt appointment.

I've used Discount Plumbing times within the past 15 years - that trip included some major root intrusion. Brennan managed to show me some of this damage and down a camera to find the line open. Regrettably we had to replace the line but the team got on it straight away. The tenants are back up and everybody is happy! Thanks for making it happen guys!

I made an appointment yesturday today. Your man came at 3... said he couldnt do the job now its a 3 hour job... he tried to shut off water primary and couldnt said to call the town. . He then tells me hes hasnt and exhausted needed a holiday He told me he knows a couple plumbers who would appear and do the job. I attempting to pawn off the work from his firm and was disgusted with his attitide. Zero loyalty! I get his troubles but he's got a job to do and didnt want to feel like doing it people call a plumber and need someone they can depend on this company has now failed me twice there won't be a third I have water leaking in my bathroom. I waisted a day to receive told the job cant be performed. PATHETIC! UNPROFESIONAL! EXTREAMELY DISSAPOINTED!!!!

I called again I was put on hold, then the woman came back and said the technician called and when I did not answer he went into the appointment. I told her I checked and no calls were got by me. She assured me that her phone records say that I needed to take the conclusion of the day appointment be ause my previous appointment was missed by me, and that he did call.
I said he could have overlook dialed and she said well I called both number. Again, I said why not I have a list of a call?
At 6:30pm I called to see whether they'd be coming and I was thrown into voicemail. I left a message asking them to call me back and allow me to know what was going on or if they came from the morning.
In the end, she said feel free to find another plumber and hung up on me.
On the day of the appointment I made a decision to call the business at 11:45 (the conclusion of the window of time they gave to our appointment) because I was concerned that they inadvertently called our previous number. The woman said they ran behind, but they would be there.
I called at 8:30 am with my sewer line. They couldn't get me until 24 hours later.

Corners cut and over charge you to get kickback. At least the ones out of Manteca office. Our water line not resolved and invested a great deal of money and time. Don't hire them !!!

I had a horrible experience with discount pipes. My AC was shutting on and off. I had it serviced for the problem for $389 dollars. No Ac having my bad mother affected in the warmth and over 100 degree weather within my house. They came to inform me it was that the fan motor, and it would be another $719 dollars. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Today nick came out and I couldn't be more happy with this service. He was knowledgeable and came before I had anticipated - within one hour and a half calling! Nick was did a great job, and quick, friendly. I will certainly use this company any time I've plumbing issues!

Because after attempting to replace parts within our shower bathtub we were unable to complete the job, I phoned them. The water was shut off and I am an water. They had been unable to adapt that afternoon but said he will have somebody. At 8:30 now Isaac came to repair our bathtub shower valve. He was knowledgeable and very personable. He explained everything he was going to do and what he did after he finished the job. Cost was reasonable and we had a discount voucher too. I would recommend discount pipes and Isaac.

The pilot light had gone out of our water heater a couple of days back and I contacted PG&E to come back and check it out and relight. A PG&E technician advised me that the problem was a broken gasket on the water heater and responded today. He explained the pilot light kit required to be replaced, and that was only a fix, but it had a gasket also should've been done at the time and noticed the thermocouple was not installed correctly. I told him that that particular part (thermocouple) was substituted with a local plumbing company over a year ago. The technician recommended I call a plumbing contractor to fix/replace the part. In addition, he stated a plumber will be aware of upon looking at it what the water heater needed. Before leaving the technician disconnected and capped the gas line into the water heater as a result of unsafe condition. I felt during my contact he was in explaining what the problem was patient and considerate. He spoke to my husband on the telephone concerning the circumstance. My husband then contacted Discount Plumbing in Manteca ph#800 708-0079, (as this was the business who'd replaced the thermocouple this past year and also give them an chance to rectify the issue ) who advised him a plumber will be going to the house to get the problem in a couple hours. I received a call in the business and the plumber advising me he will be at my house and was on his way. In regards to the plumber who informed me his name was Danny, '' he explained he was the person who had substituted the part(thermocouple) previously (about a year ago). He inquired what the problem was and I informed him that the pilot light had gone to the water heater and also the PG&E technician had recommended the gasket/pilot light kit be substituted on account of the thermocouple's bad/temporary replacement. Danny explained that PG&E does that all the time, give bad advise, but will check it. Upon me telling him exactly what the PG&E technician had stated while speaking to Danny, he got defensive, I felt. We both then wrapped up and he came shortly afterwards. Upon entrance, Danny explained he has seen this problem all the time, also scrutinized the water heater, and replaces the thermocouple. He told me there wasn't any guarantee that after he replenishes the thermocouple, on the length of time it will operate, it may head out. Wouldn't it be much better to substitute the pilot light kit, instead of the temporary fix/replacement of this thermocouple, after hearing that, I thought to myself? Only a thought, since I do not understand anything. At no time did he indicate or say the gasket/ pilot light kit. Danny gave me a few choices, to include purchasing the thermocouple and substituting itself, calling the maker of this water heater and purchase the needed part(s), or he can substitute the thermocouple and to the part and labour it will be $225.00. I informed him I wanted to call my husband to discuss the choices, which I did. My husband requested to speak to Danny, in so I can hear the conversation 27, and place it on speaker. I heard that my husband ask questions concerning the choices and the cost, while listening to the conversation. I could hear Danny's reacting in a manner that is rude, and kept interrupting my husband, not permitting him to finish his sentences. Then I heard Danny say to the effect,"we're done here" in which my husband told him to leave the premises (we were in the garage at the time), given me the telephone, and while walking down the driveway to his work truck, I heard him say,"That's bullshit", got into his work truck and hauled off, and I watched him on his cellphone while driving off, which of course, as we all know is prohibited. My husband then called the business to speak to the owner concerning Danny's mindset, and was informed by the person who answered the telephone he could not speak to him as Danny had called in and complained about my husband and the operator will call my husband in 48hours. We're still anticipating a call, since this occurred at approximately 3:30 pm.

At no time did this individual even recommend replacing the thermocouple. My point to this is, is Danny and/or the business being fair to their customers, and/or do they charge them , in the hopes of going back to customers to repair it practice fixes and earn more income. Danny was lacked customer support, and I felt it was all about temporary fixes and the cash. At making their customers safe, pG&E had nothing to gain from this, they were simply doing their job.

I just purchased my home and found that the sewer line has been busted. UGH. I called Discount Plumbing for Assistance. Jorge"George" was so fantastic. He worked tirelessly replace the pipe. He was courteous and professional. He went above and beyond. I will not hesitate to call Discount Plumbing again when needed.

I really don't give 5 stars very often but this company has Forest working for them. Smart decision on their part. I had HUGE issues with every pipe going to the primary line leaking in 1 way or another and being damaged. Maybe not what we expected to find. You would think! IT DID NOT, and in fact it did not cover the bid and I was able to get a lineup in for tank ditch that is black. Forest managed to make me feel safe in everything he had been doing and I never worried about being ripped off. I am grateful I'd Forest appear at my _ and so happy with the work 0_EXTENSION you want Plumbing Services request Forest, you won't be let down! *****- Five stars to you Forest! As most of plumbers are about the exact same cost, I do not mind paying for labour. I need some. They included the cost of a disposal although the garbage disposal I really could of replaced myself.
That really is my fault, should of bought so I can take blame. At least I would of liked an option but I know if they supply their own, that the markup is large.
Discount Plumbing is great at communicating. Contacts the plumber contacts and you you regarding the appointment. I received an email too about it.
My difficulty is that for $249 be top of the line but it wasn't. It was an off brand. Just Standard. For $200 I could of bought a 3/4 HP Whirlpool disposal. A brand I enjoy and a brand that our appliances are. An individual could even locate a 1/2 HP InSinkErator Badger for $75.
Frank came by from Discount Plumbing to perform the Job. He was funny and personable. Do not take him more.

I had a yard that is majorly. The plumber I called refused to do the job saying that it was a plumbing issue. Several plumbers denied that the job states that it was a landscape issue. No one desired to help. When I contacted Discount Plumbing they had been pleased to send out someone to rate the issue. Well, it because a massive plumbing issue (too bad first three plumbers you lost out on a big job!) And expensive. Felix from Discount Plumbing has been wonderful. He searched until the issue was diagnosed by him and searched. It took two visits, approximately a week's work in a backhoe along with the water company inspector to get the job finished. Thanks to the tenacity and dedication of Frlix to the project I have a wonderfully dry yard! Thank Discount Pmumbing and you Felix.

Our faucet pipe had keep bursting open. Discount pipes was. They'd sent into the rescue, who was honest and professional out Luis. He gave us invaluable advice to prevent issues and also fixed the issue. Thanks again!

Moving on to somebody else.
I'm doing a bathroom remodel and reduction plumbing was called by my contractor on some pipes needs for quote. The tech came on time and has been professional and polite.
We were told we would have an estimate by the end of the day. That didn't occur. The following day my contractor called the office and was advised. It appears no one is on the exact same page, she said she'd have him phone.
This was morning Friday afternoon. Still waiting. Guess you ignore someone and if you do not need to perform the job that they WILL go away.

I am not sure that is actually a licensed plumber. He was an amiable chap. But, what plumber would attempt to attempt without having a pipe wrench that is simple in his tool box, which he claimed had been stolen, to do a water heater elimination. I told him that for a individual holding himself out to be. I suggested that he go to Home Depot and buy a wrench; he did. He then stated that he would replace the valve at no cost to me. This individual then failed to switch the water off at the same stage which resulted in some minor flooding of this room in which the water heater has been found. The job took this consummate'specialist' more than 5 1/2 hours to complete, believing that he had to disconnect the pipes again because there was a leak that he had not discovered earlier in the job when he probably should have. My regular plumber has been inaccessible and has been booked for the next two months. I really could have, also SHOULD HAVE done this task . I finished the task in half the time with no flooding and would have saved almost $1200 in labor charges. The model# of this Bradford water heater is not even included so that I can not even determine if it's Energy-Star as I requested approved. The cost has been 1700 and it should have been far cheaper, even. I will not use this provider again, even. In the end, there is absolutely no way to find out whether the work completed was actually up to our county building codes. Being a weekend, so they cannot receive the proper permits, so the job in question is completed without the benefit of a building section inspection, and you need to sign a waiver indicating that they can go ahead and do the job, and any subsequent inspection and expenses related to it will be the responsibility of the home owner.

I am quite happy I went with discount plumbing. George came out and was able to discover the issue immediately! You guys are beautiful and super responsive.

He told me he could email me and I said that would be perfect and I could forward it. Well he emailed it to me it turned out to be a blank estimate.
Discount Plumbing has been used by me quite a few times. They've done, garbage disposal replacement toilet, shower knob. I was sold by the tech professionalism by far no price saving.
I really do use YELP. I only wanted to share this experience that was horrible!
However, thanks to this experience. I've found a better family prepared to work and owned business that was professional. Also making them aware upfront that I'm not the proprietor!! Seem to be better at pricing.
Our water heater just went out! Called them again. The tech came out, I explained to him that the landlord,'d prefer a breakdown of this estimate of the fix, she's still waiting to determine whether she has guarantee on the device itself.
I revealed my landlord the email. We decided never to use them again!
Must read! Never use them again! You do not hire on the area, you may experience what I did!!
Bottom line they do free quotes. However in the event that you don't get them! They treat you very unprofessional. All the quotes we hire them! Never did they ask for the home owner approval! He emailed me and susposely replicated his section. I am no longer to call them, I can contact them!
So I called the 800. #for Discount Plumbing, where I talked! Super impolite to get a supervisor, I explained that the tech emailed me a blank estimate and I would prefer a estimate showing the costs. Well from here on our conversation was very unprofessional, it seemed as the tech needs to of called and talked with him. He told me that I lead them to believe I had been the home owner?! I have made it clear for everybody who has came to our house, that I have to submit everything.
So I told her I so just starting at, got a verbal estimate of $260 and called my landlord. She asked me to see whether they could return and fix it.

We've been using discount since 2009 & we have had nothing but good service. Their teks have needed to do some teaching as far as what you don't put down the sink. The rates are reasonable and the work is the teks are polite & fast. Committed client right here!
