The"Big Boys" all needed telephone calling providers. One ask me to spell Longmont, what the...? The following day James arrived on time, with a handshake and a smile. He went to work in my own clog. He was finished professionally and quickly. The fee was fair and much below the"Gods" of plumbing. Highly recommended.
Just called to make an appointment and discuss our requirements. Might be the rudest person I talked to while trying to give him business. Just dreadful.
I had a line blockage that I understood was caused by tree roots. After another company tell me my blockage was probably caused by the"old style" pipes in my 100+ year old house and that they would have to repipe the whole house for $$$, I called Rex at Drain Away. Rex managed to ship outside James to my house. James confirmed that I did have tree roots growing resulting in a blockage. He managed to clear the blockage for a exact price and service was prompt, to the point, and well implemented. I'm quite happy with Rex, James, and Drain Away's service.
The guy at"dispatch" who believe is Rex, was extremely rude. If it would be the technician as it was I inquired.
My appt was that I put up for James to come this morning at 9am, which I was told was the first appt. Setting it to the first appointment was to guarantee that we would be first and on time. I called, when they hadn't arrived at 9:20. Again the gentlemen answered. He acted as if he had no record of my phone from yesterday. Said that he would need to call me back. He said the technician was held up in his job and could be late, when he called back. This was the exact reason for placing the appointment for what I was made to remark to be the first appt. He started to raise his voice to me saying he is not my therapist and that I was rude to him when I told this. Not really certain where telling him I have had plumbing problems makes him my"therapist".
Just moved into a new (to us) house and the laundry drain backed up throughout our 1st load of laundry. Called drain away and the'd somebody out over two hours on a Saturday evening. James was out of the home and snaked the lineup quickly. So I had to phone them back the next day that a utility sink backed up. It was Sunday morning so that they could not return till Monday but they came back and snaked double, free of charge. I really enjoy them coming back at no cost. Fingers crossed that they got this time.
Update: Camera man came out. Determined the snaking had not been done properly (as we suspected). Called another firm. Pipes happen to be functioning fine now for several months. Called Drain Away back and asked for a refund to the snake job. He refused. A complaint filed . The BBB accepted our criticism and asked Drain Away for a reply. The BBB tried twice with no reply. Determining if we should pursue legal actions. Why not they just refund the cost of the snake job? Wouldn't you expect that by a company? I wish I could give them negative celebrities.
A company shouldn't ever hang up on disabled or older because they did not care for that person's attitude and deny service. Never have I had business conversations. Might have been a terrible day, however this shouldn't be taken out on clients!
I have got a home that needs a sewer lateral. That is a $15,000 dig occupation for someone; Rex never once tried to"sell" me about doing that, he just makes sure to remind me after a year to do a pre-emptive cleanup, and so far things have worked out fine.
Rex, and his team - who have been together with him for years and years - gets my greatest recommendation.
I have been a customer of Rex for twelve decades now, and I think that fact says everything. I frankly don't know since I have never even been tempted to use anyone else, since Rex has always been straight up with me and given me great service each and every time if he has the lowest prices.
Experience today - referred by my plumber to get a clogged kitchen drain/disposal, Drain Away called me came out over several hours, fixed my problem at a cost that is fair. I'd definitely use them again.
I predicted last night after 7 pm; they showed up at 9. My kitchen sink has been backed up and leaking in cellar. They unclogged in 15 minutes and used the snake. They gave me some basic maintenance advice to help prevent clogs. I've never been so eager to do dishes. I read all the testimonials and decided to phone them . I'm glad I did. Pricing was typical and is posted on their website. They will be used by me in the future.

The owner is rude and doesn't understand how to run a business. Unless he believes hanging up on individuals is appropriate. Do not use them.

I used Drain Away yesterday and was very happy. James was educated and very comprehensive. The price was reasonable. I would use them again.
