Had them come out to my mother's house a week had a problem with raw sewage on the side of house. Had 3 different companies out to assist her after numerous ridding session in her home problem could not be fixed with no 3 thousand dollars estimate from same firm that had been out the previous time not only did that company address the difficulty they called the city for my mom and got her a Entire refund in another firm when it was decided that it was the city's fault thanks and we'll be a client again

If need to remain on them to get them out to get an initial 38, in my encounter with tradesman, if they miss a measure on the end of your discussion with them shame on you. It is typically a sign of more to come and you're going to regret it when something goes wrong.
I had been disappointed. After seeing good reviews I decided to phone them to get a quote to have a gas line installed to the garage in the home.
I was really into the reviews I read about this company once I give out my name, address and phone number, but I can't look the other way and they never call.
I gave all my advice to a man who seemed elderly (and also a little out of it but perhaps he was just busy). He said he'd call me the following day to get out someone to estimate it and never called back.

I don't know just how the People at Yerkes & Sons treated me, or which was left shitty, my laundry room floor.
This happened, and I'll never call or recommended Yerkes again for this. A issue in my laundry room with my drain. It needs to be rodded every couple of years. I know because it's the same thing each time and so when I predicted Yerkes, all the Grandfather and I talked and I explained exactly what was happening. He knew because he has worked in my house. Its the same thing that has been done every 3 years to the previous 2 decades if they had some kind of records system they'd know. Anyhow, he sends his grandson outside, the guy gets here states"I don't have the right equipment, I have to send somebody from Beverly with all the right machine". I told him I explained to his grandfather once I called what the difficulty was, every couple of years, the way that it happens. He said "Grandpa makes mistakes all the time, he did not want to give up control, you know how it is. What are you able to do." Then we chit chat, fine kid....After that the job is done, he's got the guts to try and charge me for 2 men for double the time. Like I'm a fool.

I have give up that label since they let go of respecting us as customers Following my mum becoming a loyal Yerkes customer for as long as we have lived in this house which has been around 25 + years. I'm not going to get into all of the details, but I'll say this much, during the years there have been numerous screw ups, but they forgive mistakes, once an older person feels safe calling a service supplier. And people like Yerkes make the most. But not of my mother, no more.
I have put off making this review because I don't like doing reviews that are bad, especially for people I used to admire. However, today's the day. I am hoping this honest review helps someone make the best choice for them.
P.s.'d the people at Yerkes told me we had been using the wrong kind of washing machine lint filter that I would not have sewer backups every couple of years. My plumber showed me the way to avoid the issue. That's fair. And due to that, I trust him so when I need him, I'll cover his costs and call him. That's the kind of company I'll support.
More than once we had a consultation but no one showed or known, when you ask about it you receive"Oh Grandpa can't keep things straight sometimes. His poor". When you can't use your bathroom, that's reassuring. But I let it go. We all have.
Did the new creation of Yerkes see an Elderly lady and suppose no one could speak up for her so she could be fleeced by them all they want? His guy personality shifted like a house of cards that the second, and how many individuals have they cheated like balls on this guy I questioned why we were billed for 2 men. He goes"You will find 2 men here." Though the 2nd guy never stepped foot in the house? That's work? You would try to bill an 85yr old woman an additional $120 to your own brother or whoever to sit in the car for 20 mins? Invite Junior, your loved ones over, does that mean, I'm liable for hours? I explained to the young guy"This was your grandfather's error, and you think that it's reasonable to charge us twice for this? . . .Really?" He knew he was wrong. He had confessed his Grandfather was incorrect, and he went out to be a kid to really pissed off. This would not have finished this way, if he'd handled that differently. However, where I'm from, you don't make the most of individuals. Don't lie about the job you do. There is A liar a nightmare, a cheater is a thief.
He changed the bill he overcharged me, but maybe not by far more than usual. I just wanted him. And then he had the guts to say"and I believe I'm being more than fair with you"... Oh do you Sweetheart? Wait till somebody attempts to take advantage of mother or your spouse. Just wait. Karma is something. You *may experience it to learn a lesson.

Called because of 2 friends recommended them. So glad I did. Mike & Matt came out for a leak and I asked that they looked at another toilet that has never had a sink or shower for a long time. They had to order parts and gave me a quote. They were able to return because of my program and called me back later that afternoon. They did the work well and at an amount of time and price. These guys are my new plumbers. Local family owned company is more of a interest in doing a good job, a plus!

I've used this company a number of occasions through time. Following the upstairs baths retiled fixes have been done by them, replaced a water heater, replaced the pumps, and reinstalled toilets. Every time is professional and honest with what needs to be done.
I recommend them.

Matthew and mike came in to my house and substituted my ejector pump but I told them on the phone. They were professional and friendly and my dog enjoyed them (my dog does not like anyone to arrive at the home ). I appreciate them coming out on short notice and the bank did break. Usually when you call plumbers they've all day, you waiting. I called at 8:45 in the morning and 11 came out and finished them. I would use this company again. Family owned and in the area.

Good job today. . .Chris installed a back socket toilet for my Master bath. . .best costs and comprehensive. I would be happy to recommend them.

Employed them 4 times today. Were fantastic and they explained things when requested. The four jobs were between 3 different residences.

Showed up on time. Bob was productive and silent. Will use again. Did not bother to return my call.

Kept my mother's $100 deposit and never came back to finish the work. Plumbers union supported them since they didn't"something" but"something" was essentially NOTHING!

Recently had some plumbing repairs performed at my residence. The plumber, Tony was polite, professional, & rather CUTE;-RRB- The repairs were done quickly, & the price was fairly reasonable ($120 per hr labour + stuff ) If you want, you can buy your own parts/material to defray the price. My only neg comment are the confusion in scheduling an appt. Talked to three ppl about a date/time. The next time was the charm than that, good job!

I have utilized Yerkes for years and am quite satisified with response time, work done and cost. They've been in the region forever and their reputation in the Beverly area keeps growing.
