Jeff began his way from the door as I asked him what I owed him because of his trip, after making sure I knew - and he told me nothing! Unheard of...
He knew exactly what he was referring to and was exceptionally professional. Our ceiling could have easily ripped open to manufacture some plumbing costs but instead charged me and gave me next actions to fix our problem.

It's almost impossible to locate servicemen now a days that do not attempt to rip you off, especially here in the city. But if you have any plumbing needs - Jeff is the guy!
We called on a Saturday morning once I discovered it began raining in our kitchen while my husband was in the shower - water was leaking right through the ceiling. I asked Jeff if he could come out on Monday and that he had been here by 10am Monday morning. After he inspected the shower a little, he explained that it was not a plumbing issue - however it had been an problem with the tile in our bathroom the seams had opened up and as water was pooling on the tile. He advised me to phone a tile guy to regrout the tilein addition to calling a shower door guy to ensure no more water could leak out of the shower.

We used Jeff and his staff to substitute our water heater lately. We are quite happy with their job and have had other repair guys comment on what a job they did! This an an honest firm that has the customers best interest in mind. I would recommend them to anybody who needs plumbing job done.

Crew and jeff had been nothing short of phenomenal! After the 2019 Polar Vortex at Chicago, a burst pipe was experienced by our condominium institution at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. Once I clarified the issue, jeff was upfront about scope of work and price. They were in finding the burst pipe, very quick, and although they had to cut into our walls, they displayed great care in creating the smallest impact possible. The scope of work entailed finding the burst pipe, cutting into drywall, eliminating and replacing the pipe, and analyzing water pressure and water temperature before their departure. They cleaned up debris generated from the project. This team is friendly, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend them and I will reach out to The Plumbing Department, Inc. for future jobs!

I called The plumbing department to find out whether they can replace my garbage disposal. I described it refused to do the job and made a humming sound. I guessed I'd be buying a brand new disposal and be out at least 700. NOPE. He walked me and also my disposal began to function again! I've used them also have been pleased and before to replace etc, and now I couldn't be happier! THANK YOU THANK YOU!

In Februarywe used this company to substitute a water heater. Their pricing was very competitive, customer support attentive and answer time really fair. We're in the process of selling our condo and the purchaser had their review, yesterday. From my air conditioner that's unrelated to the water heater that was replaced they noticed a issue during the review. I phoned The Plumbing Department explained the problem and they had Al over over 90 minutes to my unit. Shortly afterwards the owner, Jeff, called me and explained the course of action and the issue. I will certainly use The Plumbing Department because their customer support is excellent in the top down. They are reliable and Jeff takes pride supporting his work.

We've got an old house with plumbing and have now worked with Jeff and his team a few times since our emergency water heater replacement. Sewer jetting, antique sink clogs toilet repairs that are historical, sewer video, capture basin reviews - this man is amazing. Always friendly, helpful, tidy and efficient, my spouse and I can't recommend them enough.

I called the Plumbing Department and the worker told me it had been the second floor toilet that ran! I purchased a new toilet and'd TPD put it in (comes with a one year warranty! I had been so happy to not be taken advantage of! They are the very best!
Due to a flow, and my invoice doubled my water bill was going mad. Told me that I need to replace the waterline in the cellar with aluminum!

The Plumbing Dept deserves more than 5 stars! I had a problem with my hot water tank. Jeff and I talked and was able to establish an appointment the following day. He was honest, professional, and polite. Price was very fair. Jeff gave tips about how best to maintain the water tank to keep it running smoothly and avoid issues.

I'd ESTIMATE the two men worked around 8 hours total so at 1350/16 the fee would be $84 an hour and that included special components, picking up the bathroom at the warehouse for us and much time on the telephone helping us decide whether to repair or replace the old Neorest.
Because we bought from Crawford The Plumbing department didn't create anything. Also, the work was in a high rise which adds additional time for formalities, service lift, etc., so the cost may seem high but this isn't a simple bathroom nor a simple endeavor. I wish I could find craftsmen and different mechanics like them and recommend them.
The guys were great. Until I engaged them helping us decide what to do about a costly Toto Neorest bathroom with a washlet jeff spent time. After calling Toto and also a distributor on the behalf -- before I had engaged him. . We decided the only solution was to replace what is a unit. We bought it and the Plumbing Dept picked it up.
The new bathroom didn't fit well in the area of the old model Toto it was bought to replace so the workers swapped it with a Toto from another bathroom where it did fit after modifications to the water supply were created and so they did two replacements!

Got some really fantastic service from The Plumbing Department. We decided to get some help from Jeff and his 21, after toughing it out with a couple clogged drains. I can't say enough good things. Joey was sent by him out to our home that exemplified about what I look forward to at a specialist. He was able provide an estimate that matched the price to correctly evaluate the problem areas , thoroughly inspect the home for any applicable circumstances, and identify. He overpromised (which is quite important) and once he got started he knew exactly how to start and complete the job thoroughly. I would not hesitate to call on the Plumbing Department later on. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you.

Excellent Service! Great turnaround!
The task was just some plumbing in toilet and the kitchen. Joey was great! The latest was tonight when they came at a minute's notice to repair a leaking gas pipe. Among the coldest nights they were here within the hour and we've had here in the city and had everything fixed in one shot. Great Work
This is the second job I've had Jeff/Joey in The Plumbing Department (TPD) on. They're great. Very professional. Very polite. Impeccable work.

Imagine getting home after 8 hours on a two day camping trip and the road. . .only to detect you have no water. Finding it out would take 1-4 business days prior to the town sent someone to flip it back on. Who realistically can go a day a weekend Getting help on such short notice turned out to be simpler than anticipated due to the Plumbing Department. Explaining our situation on the phone was quick and painless and the secretary promptly went to work trying to envision something with a tech. She even followed up during the afternoon. So considerate and professional. Jeff, who was eager to help us and worked all day showed up that evening to flip on our 26, as promised! This is what a company should be.

Before he arrived, he called, we had been quoted a fixed cost when he said he would, and he arrived. Jeff was able to unclog our drains and sink where we'd failed. He recommended so it did not happen again what we ought to do.
We were referred to The Plumbing Department by Goode pipes as they were so busy they couldn't come for 2 days. I got through to him right away and called Jeff. We were glad that Jeff was able to come over afew hours later.

Found The Plumbing Dept on Angies List after my routine pipes told me I would have to wait several times (over the New Years weekend) until they could send a person to check at a leaking bathroom. Jose came out the next day (on time), recognized the problem right away (leaking gasket), quoted the cost, and must work. He did a fine job with the repair, he also discovered an icy buildup from the copper pipe that led in the bathroom (due to freezing cold weather and poorly heated common area in condominium construction where pipe led) and had to clear that with lots of many pots of hot water, and then, along with everything, he noticed that my flapper was pretty worn out so he substituted that!! No charge. The Plumbing Department will be my first call from now on.

They're great. Very very good follow-up from acquiring a quote to the work. Very neat, on time, and work is strong. It's nice to have a person who's trustworthy and honest. Would HIGHLY recommend. If and when we need extra plumbing services we are calling Jeff.

These guys are great from start to finish. They were fast program and to respond. They installed the part I bought online and charged me less because they got it done. And when the inexpensive part I bought online failed after the first day, they discovered a replacement part locally, and set up it This is actually the second time I've used them, and they are good to use.

I can not say enough about the service that I received from Jeff. He happened to be in my neighbors house, and I desperately needed a plumber. I called the number on his truck parked on the road, and he made time to stop by my home. He also fixed my problem . He was considerate, and professional. I would recommend he and his crew.

!! that is conscientious and responsive I called Jeff after a copper pipe in my flat building had been punctured by a screw. I had it fixed and had predicted several different areas before calling The Plumbing Department. Jeff showed up when he said he would and did a fantastic job. The water was back in my building in no time! This was far and away. If your searching for professionalism and a job well done. . .when you need it done... Call them.
