UPDATE: After a free suggestion from Gary, Mike replaced our enormous dual laundry sink with a stone sink that is contemporary. Included in the undertaking, Mike redid our 80yo pipes and took effort and some time to move the dryer to an area that made much more sense. This was done, as promised, within a day! The laundry room was left clean and we are very happy with the outcomes. All the staff at Kerrigan were professional, courteous and went the extra mile to make sure we have the best service possible. Nevertheless a Kerrigan fan!

I doubt that the faucet had a problem. I was never shown. I really question whether or not it was installed. The faucet leaked. So he certainly did not test it. I stand behind my one star review of your company. As payment I provided my credit card number and phoned your office a long time 11, for. I couldn't recommend your business.

We used Kerrigan and were completely satisfied. The plumbers arrived when promised and did great work. All very professional. Until yesterday. We predicted about a downspout that was filthy, and they gave us a window of 8:30 to noon but not revealed. Someone at work did call about 2:30 to allow us know a tech was available. They left a message asking a courtesy call. Obviously, we weren't in a frame of mind. Time to get a plumber.

RUN - do not walk - away from this enterprise. We had them come out to look at a problem and provide us an estimate. We received a bill for $650 FOR THE ESTIMATE. No work was done. We ended up going with a different plumber because their estimate for work was unacceptably high and as they were unresponsive to our calls. When I called to voice my upset with the bill for the estimate, Dave was insistent that I understood what the fees would be for getting the estimate because it said I had been told on the bill. I have worked with many plumbers and never before have I been billed for an estimate and wouldn't have consented to this had I known. They lack integrity and have no regard for clients.

In the two months, as we attempted to talk about our objections millions of emails and voicemails have been sent and left discounted. If labour comprises commute time, fine, but let us at least be reasonable. He's gruff and short when we eventually get through to our project manager. We expressed countless occasions our desire to resolve the bill but Kerrigan was content to haul out it. They inform us that an adjusted bill is on its way, but we get nothing for 2 weeks. They understand well that this is much more work for people to fight with this, for them to fix it since it is, so they have made it a war of attrition. Skip Kerrigan, if you appreciate working with people who'll do right by you.
The charges for labour of the speed Kerrigan is not any more expensive than the other firms around Evanston, as far as I can tell. What they do to compensate for that would be to bill you for the time it takes their plumbers back and forth out of their offices. Yes, that's right, they bill you for time they aren't on your house currently working on your plumbing issue. And it takes 3 hour to drive back and forth between Wilmette and Evanston.
The components that we had replaced needed to be made-to-order and we were quoted a time of 5-7 days. Seems totally affordable. Three full weeks go by and we have not heard a peep out of Kerrigan's (to be honest we were extremely busy, so we gave them some leeway), therefore at this point we call/email to try to obtain an update on our order. It takes 3 days until we finally hear back, coincidentally it was shortly after I delivered a stern letter. This wasn't an anomaly, based on encounters this lack of urgency is behaviour.
I would like to be clear about this, I have no issue with the quality. Has been professional, courteous and efficient. Unfortunately, he operates under the employ of Kerrigan and following our experience we have no intention of using their services again. Here's the reason why.

These are honest men who know what they are doing
Great service-fit me right away, arrived on time and fixed our difficulty at 30 minutes for under $150 (two additional plumbers had told me it could take half a day or longer and cost $400-$900).

We'll definitely call them again not to get a crisis situation!
Where water literally poured from our basement wall, from behind dry wall we had a urgent plumbing scenario. We could not figure out where the leak was coming from. I left a vaguely traumatized voice email in the middle of the night and they called me back in the morning. They could send outside someone by about 8am, which was really great.
The plumber, Pete, was quite nice and despite the condition of our plumbing and plethora of unnecessary drywall in our cellar, he was able to work out that it was likely the outside spigot. It had rotted and spewed water every which way. He clarified what we can do in order to replace it at the spring and put to turn off it. It was much more affordable than I anticipated and everyone I dealt with was friendly and considerate.

Kerrigan does not stand behind their work. Their support is horrible and the do not follow up! I had a gas line installed by Kerrigan in my garden which went under my patio pavers and has been connected to my fireplace which has a gas starter.
Do not use this business or you'll be sorry
We predicted Kerrigan who pulled three pavers and stated that the fitting on the gas valve may have gotten loose over the last few years and that he'd tightened itbut it did look rusty so he was likely to replace the component just to be on the secure side. I thought it was not any big deal and there would be a fee for this service that was small. Without telling me after never getting back to me and calls, they came out two or three weeks. Of course they brought the incorrect area and the plumber sat in his truck for more than an hour while his assistant drove to" a warehouse" to find the proper part. They exchanged the valve and left me to fix the patio.
Deficiency OF COMMUNICATION and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!
THEN I got a bill for $600. My phone calls were not returned As soon as I attempted to wonder why the bill was expensive.
My husband lately smelled a faint gas flow which was confirmed by the gas business.
Did the plumber really feel that I would want to replace a valve"just to be on the safe side" for $600!!!!! He should have told me whether when the value had tightened, it was likely to be expensive and there wasn't problem.

There we were using a leaky bathroom. Anyone will tell you, holding a bucket underneath the drip was not a long-term solution. We had a fast repair and relied on Kerrigan Plumbing again. They fixed the flow in roughly 20 minutes. Lemon squeeze-y, easy pees-y. The bathroom is currently functioning with no leaks that are unexpected.

Take note, they are not the least expensive, nor are they expensive. They are old school, meaning that the job gets done correctly. Just function with the materials, no short cuts.
So in the event that you want it done correctly the first time and you also understand that you get what you pay for give these people a call.
I used to reside at the corner of NW Evanston, I used to manage many condominium institutions out that way. To pipes company Kerrigan was my go Through those years.

Looks like it has been some time since anyone posted, so here you go. We had a clogged bathroom sink. I was delighted with how quickly they (james? ) ) Came out, (same day) and they could repair/rod out sink. I had been a bit disappointed at the amount that is billed. I believe the office quoted me $150.00 for first 30 minutes and $45 for each additional15 minutes. Final bill was $215 for less than 30 minutes of work at the house--Apparently you are charged the minute truck pulls up in front of your residence, and also for the time it took to obtain an extension cable (5+ min) to a trip back out to truck--and the time it took to write up invoice on a different return to truck. These added up to 15+ minutes which pushed me to the next threshold (45 minutes) additionally plumber told me the true initial charge was $160 for first 30 min, against Liz in workplace -- and also equipment charge was evaluated which was another surprise inclusion -- just too many surprises and inconsistencies with what I had been contributed to believe..leaves a sour taste??

Another big thumbs up for Kerrian and for my fellow yelpers who steered me their way. They were educated, prompt, and courteous. Most importantly for me, they advised me to phone Moen to substitute a component rather than purchase a new one because it was under warranty so that they saved me some cash. I highly suggest them.

Just had a terrific experience with Kerrigan. Gary came out to do an estimate. I'd just moved in and it had rusted out of not being used the previous few months it wouldn't move. Instead of attempting to sell a model to and produce a lot of money, he jammed a broomstick in there to find the leverage necessary for the thing moving.
So I now have a functioning disposal and was billed nothing. And in return, I will definitely recommend and using Kerrigan in the future.

My son flushed a lego contraption farther down the toilet.... Never good. I tried and couldn't dip it! I phoned also a couple of other plumbers and Kerrigan . Kerrigan's prices were reasonable and they had someone. The plumber who arrived was friendly and productive. I'd recommend!
