We've used the Plumbing Dr for many years for both crises in addition to maintenance. They've always been friendly, professional for their appointments on time. Often during a consultation Dr. Bill, the proprietor, will also appear. Their prices are
reasonable. I would certainly recommend them to friends.
I predicted over a dozen pipes at the DMV area and no one replied. I left messages and the Plumbing Dr was the only one. They were professional and timely along with there was a rep sent within three hours to my house.
I have already recommended the plumbing dr to two friends since then. The price was steep but it should be covered by insurance I don't mind.
Sunday through Labor Day weekend tragedy struck my townhouse- my bathroom made a decision to flooding my kitchen with black water. I was terribly upset since I had family in town and did not understand why my cabinets was flooding.
Dr. William was friendly and quite professional. He explained me the options. I knew what the procedure was and did not pressure me or try to upsell me. He replaced the area cleaned, and replaced my flapper. He explained the pros and cons and taught me.
Will contact for prospective plumbing requirements.
EDIT: had to knock off a star. I recommended this company a week and they never called her back. Damaged my authenticity. Not quite professional.
Within one hour and a half, I've got hot water again! I will work with these guys. Great experience.
My water vanished, and we booked The Plumbing Dr . Our plumber was Wayne, together with Jimmy. They arrived on time, recognized the issue quickly (faulty thermostat), gave me an option to fix or replace, and weren't pushy at all (when I chose to repair).
Ripped off by dr plumbing - $600 to scrutinize if they fix, should they pull up the toilet and snake. M&S didn't do this.
Charged around $500 only to scrutinize and didn't fix anything. Just pulled on the toilet and made an effort to take out the clog with a snake out in the front yard valve. Then explained that to really address the problem that they need to decrease the line and it would cost $9000.
Next day had sons come and Michael, they stated not and 97 a cent onlly charge more if it can't be fixed by them. The next day a plumber from sons and Michael mended it and remove the item in 10 minutes and we were back to normal.
Wanted to hire a local guy called and left a message asked a quote no reply Dr Bill doesn't even care to call and say he is too busy!
The owner is the nicest guy and they guarantee their work so you know the job will be done. (They take their own guarantee very seriously. ) All the plumbers I dealt with were professional and nice and they kept all clean.
These guys are life savers. Following a Washington Gas crew unintentionally (and unknowingly) broke my sewage line, we began getting sewage backing up to our basement shower. Dr. Brandon of the Plumbing Dr. came at about 10 pm and worked till 1am using a camera to locate the specific spot of the break and also then dislodge enough of the broken material so that a little sewage could pass. This kept our basement from flood! He used footies and drop clothes and abandoned my house as clean as when he got there. Great guy! Yes they are expensive, but peace of mind is priceless. With his video and ability to locate the rest, Washington Gas came out and fixed the broken segment of pipe the next moment. And they've pledged to reimburse me for the rest... so go figure.
If you need ANYTHING which is associated, look no farther than the team at the Plumbing Doctor. Mike (our lead technician) and Charlie (who helped Mike) did a marvelous job diagnosing the issue quickly, giving us options and then implementing the plan we picked. Without being prompted, Mike discovered I had served in the army and proceeded to give me a 10% Veteran's Discount, which I didn't know they had and he uttered. Mike and Charlie also took a peek on the bathtub in our guest bathroom at the caulking and replaced it. Again, fantastic customer service and professionalism above and beyond.
Anyways was repaired as good as fresh. What I loved was that there were all the options presented to me ...I"ll be sure to call TPD later on...
Thanks David!
I had a telephone to TPD two weeks ago. . It was a leak and had no damage at all.
I think there were 5 or 4 options: ranging from only replace both valves to replacing down everything. Being the device is still less than two years since I've moved here, I opted for the basic. . .remove/substitute the valves. David had to come back later because we originally could not find where the water was to my own apt. Low and behold, it was in the master bedroom closet. . .go figure...
Cons - Person who took appointment didn't pass along my message which we couldn't have work before. I missed a 7:52 am call. I had been told that they were on other calls when I called back, once they arrive, and they'll get there. Didn't get service until after 2:00. And they were angry at me for calling when I need to expect someone to find out.
Pros - he took a photo of my leaky faucet to show me the problem , When the individual revealed.
Cons - Very. They quoted $619 to substitute my (fairly basic) faucet or $452 to install when I bought the component. I obtained Price Pfister faucet off the shelf, in Home Depot for $128, also HD set up for $125. Installation took only 14 minutes. $253 is significantly less than HALF of the things Plumbing Doctor quoted.
Pro/Con - They charge above rates that are off-the-shelf approximately a 30% mark-up for their hardware that is furnished.
The main point is I think $452 is a lot for 15 minutes of effort.
Pros - My phone was answered during the weekend and my appointment was scheduled.
Along with the 619 was their cost. They had a tablet that had 4 cost levels, with something or service contracts.
$125 is suitable.
And why would they need what a 30% mark-up on a retail cost? I mean so Plumbing DR is making profit HD is making a profit from the retail cost.
Plumbing Dr. worked together with me to ensure I got the work done correctly at a fair cost given everything (such as a leak in basement for a result). .
Dr. Brandon explained everything such as what his colleague did wrong he had been extremely proficient and from what I could tell he did an excellent job.
The indication of a fantastic plumber ( or some other service provider) is how they make things right when they make an error. Plumbing Dr. did some work for me a couple of months back that they missed a significant issue that must have been done while the work was initially done.
Dr William did a great job clearing an drain for us at a pinch. We are thankful to him. But above all we are thankful for our dry basement!
I needed to say I am not disappointed. Jason was quite comprehensive. It took him almost two hours to repair the issue. I could tell he did an superb job although I am no plumber!
I had a plumbing emergency over a weekend and also The Plumbing Dr. delivered Jason on precisely the same day that we predicted. Jason provided a quotation and immediately identified the issue. The quotation was somewhat higher than we anticipated. But given the reputation the company has, I went ahead and had the job is performed by him.
I had an issue with the diagnostic/price I was quoted and Tony the service manager left it right and phoned.
Response to my house for sewage ejector pump not working. They could come the same day that I called.
The Plumbing Doctor was more thorough than another plumber who'd come to our condo. He gave us his recommendations, explained everything to us explained why he made stated recommendations.
Our toilet scrutinized was snaked, recognized, and so replaced. ALL IN Precisely the Same DAY. ALL FOR AN Superb PRICE. I will definitely use The Plumbing Doctor later on.
Horrible customer service. Spoke with Shelly on the telephone to acquire some advice on service leaks & detection and she said that they don't do that (when their website clearly says they do). Very bothersome when they make you and give you the advice to get a serious matter fee aren't worth handling. Customer service was horrible with my experience
Fraudulent plumber. This is actually the first time that I have written a review. As well as the first time it was necessary to submit a police report. This plumber took advantage of my wife the week by charging over $ 2,000 in excess of the $ 1,500 in labor and parts which should happen to be charged to replace the sump pump system in our basement. When we asked with parts and labour broken out, the plumber informed us the policy is to NOT offer the pricing for parts and NOT to provide the cost per hour. Total bill was 3710 --study that is instant reveled $800 in 4 hours of labour and parts for two guys. Should not happen to be in excess of 1500. Beware at any cost!
Enjoy the Answer on a Saturday. Value is squat. They wanted to charge me $4500 for a 1000 (retail, that were understand they aren't paying ) water heater. That's $3500 in labour for a 5'ish hour job. All these are plumbers, not brain surgeons. Pass.
UPDATED: I wanted to make certain as the company really did really well after our experience by us, to get back to this review. The secretary and office staff are still useful I'm probably a bit jaded after my experience. The service Manager came out himself, evaluated the situation and made sure we had a full understanding of what was going on (minus the gaudy iPad). He and completed the job that day and the individual that did the work were quite thorough, professional, courteous. It ended although I'll confess it started a bit hairy with iPad and all the 1:00 AM service call and the company really did take the opportunity to go out of the way and make the situation right.
