Update: Dan from Client Service called today and made things right. I have amended my evaluation to reflect this.
I was called by them a month and to program an AC check. Appointment was now between 1-4pm. Nicole could be here between 4-5pm and called me at 3pm to inform me that the tech was running late. At 5:10, I needed to call the number, and whomever answered the phone said"that they were in their way". It has happened 3 times using Rodenhiser, and judging by other reviews, not to me. They are overscheduling their own techs. You know what never runs late? I signed up for, when they charge my credit card on the first of each month for the support plan. Never a delay there. I am sure this company can find a way to reimburse me now.

Don't USE!
I suspect they intentionally removed the refrigerant to make a difficulty. I am glad I called someone else for a second opinion.
The technician who came to our home sabotaged our AC. I had them come out only to check the system and do maintenance. When the tech arrived even though it was working, he explained that I needed at least $1000 of fixes and even a completely different system. After the technician , it stopped working. When I called them to ask for followup, they just told me"This can be expected" and to"wait for components". They didn't even offer to have somebody come back.
We ended up phoning and all is fine.

They set up a ktchen faucet to my in-laws that were elderly and sold. Charged nearly 800 dollars. Shame on you.

To get an AC condenser replacement, Rodenhiser double-billed me in 2013. Rather than refunding me Jon Manna, the General Manager, the money, and that I agreed to use the credit toward HVAC maintenance. I finally consumed the credit this past summer (2019). During time, each time I called to make service appointments, I was reminded that the care services were supplied to me as a gift from the General Manager for free. Once I talked to the Client Service Manager, the identical thing occurred again this time. As I wanted to put the facts straight about the mischaracterization of this credit I asked to speak to the General Manager. Jon Manna, the General Manager, called and left me a message I left a message and returned his phone the following day and asked him to return my phone when he had a opportunity. It has been over a week and I have not got a response. The contrast in only a few years in responsiveness and professionalism is as surprising as the importance of the price increases.
I predicted Rodenhiser two weeks back to create an appointment to the annual heating and humidifier maintenance. I asked the call centre rep to make sure the technicians deliver a replacement drum to the humidifier the drum requires replacement. I was initially told by the call centre rep humidifiers are not serviced by them. When I told her Rodenhiser installed the device and this was a recurring service, she told me they just replace the filter but don't do anything else. After moving back and forth several times, she finally checked my service background, however, she said that because my service background just revealed filter replacements, it affirmed the very fact that they do not do anything else for humidifiers. I asked a few times to talk about humidifiers to someone more knowledgeable, not she refused to move the call, she explained she had asked her coworkers and they all said the same thing. When I told the rep I did not wish to create a service appointment before I can talk to someone who can help me, she explained that if I did not make an appointment afterward, their technicians will probably be too busy and that I may not be able get an appointment. I voiced frustration that she didn't make an appointment and appeared to be threatening me. To phone me when she became available. The Client Service Manager called me. This is a problem solver previously and someone I've had positive interactions previously and she had been useful. The professionalism of the past was gone she was likewise indifferent enjoy the call centre rep.
I've been a Rodenhiser client for 7 or 8 decades. I've had a lot of work done with them including replacing and upgrading the HVAC unit, replacing and upgrading an AC condenser, installing a humidifier, replacing and upgrading a water heater, annual maintenance, other upgrades and repairs etc.. In the past, their staff, by the call centre into the technicians and also to management, were courteous and professional. If they had service issues, or made errors, they cared for them quickly and professionally. The grade of service steadily declined. I've had to deal with rude call centre representatives, technicians, mistakes they refused to fix, showing up without the necessary equipment, etc.. Calls are also returned by the management staff that is once responsive or it is not timely if they do. Getting a call centre rep has come to be an exception rather than the standard. What was a focus on doing fantastic work and being professional, they seem to worry more, although their technicians mostly still do great work. Additionally, Rodenhiser's HVAC maintenance price went from $450 for 2 components (which included another unit reduction ) at 2013/2014 to $660 now for exactly the identical service and reduction, a $210 (47 percent ) increase in only five decades.

Have used this company several times. They take your money and provide customer service that is dreadful. Poor value for the price. Components of my plumbing, broke, and require no responsibility. And they charge $$$$. I feel scammed. Might be more convenient to work with a company, but maybe not worth the money, stress, and hassle. Stay away.

I have reviews of this company. Some workers are excellent, and some are there for the pay check. I needed additions ductwork and a new heating system installed. What I had been told could be a three day project turned into a month hassle. Some guys came in a did not get the work accomplished in a timely manner (or correctly), and the upcoming guys who came in clarified why things were wrong and needed to be redone. This back and forth occurred a few times. I needed to use to adapt the multiple extra visits to the work to become done/fixed. I had been told I did not have to be home for this work, but I wasn't familiar with having individuals come to my house every time, especially since some of them did what they should and others did not.
There was an issue with the installation that created the heating system shut down for security reasons, but with another trip, it had been fixed and works excellent now (knock on wood). Overall, it was a frustrating process, but I'm glad the system is functioning as it should and it is done now.

Rodenhiser installed a new gas fired forced-air furnace for us. Rodenhiser handled all the paperwork . Contrary to what I had heard before I talked to them, Rodenhiser's price was right there with the other companies I spoke to. The process was painless from sales to install to post-install rebate receipt. I'd highly suggest Rodenhiser.

This company was responsive to your request for repair on our geo-thermal heating apparatus. The installer to say this - really messed up! The awesome tech was delivered by rodenhiser
( R. Daniels) who took the time to wade thru the mess left behind from original company --locate, address and FIX the issue with this technology and system. The dearth of this 5th star is because the call back system set up ( Tech needed to come back for a protracted re-wiring follow up) took over a week to call back. This part of the business needs improvement

Following the $270 fix (that did operate, for the moment) my wife got the hard sell on water filter, new water heater, $1200 plumbing plan, etc..
Upsell play was large, the technology explained to me that as a"5 star company" they don't cost by parts or from the hour. He then immediately indicated he could"attempt a cheaper ($270) fix but may fall part down the wall and could not guarantee it would continue".
Quoted $1400 to $1500 to replace a $70 bath diverter.
Call them in the event that you're able to wait a couple days to get a local plumber although if you are desperate that you may pay about 20% of their cost.
I waited patiently for him to acknowledge the irony of saying that they were a"5 star company" that will probably drop something or fail the fix. He did not.

Service charges. Was charged nearly $600 to substitute 1 circuit breaker (the part costs $25-30 dollars at Home Depot). Called the manager and they stated that charge code that was incorrect was used by tech. Promises to ship $100 refund. . Here is invoice
How about linking cook top for $750
Cook's Expense top itself is ~$600

If you have an older unit, be caution. They forced us and disabled my furnace after a faulty pilot light service was fixed, stating CO level was too high in flue gas (questionably testing procedure ), and tried to sell us a new system. A new platform is needed by me but do not like being pushed around. We decided to shop around and found a better quote (20% less) and fantastic support from Obie in Framingham.

The worker that came in for the quote was rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Anyway, an opportunity was lost by them. I will gladly get somebody to take on a project that is new.

The pricing model is intended to obscure the fact that the services are outrageously over-inflated.
I appreciate this is a business and the business should make money. My problem is that they are priced way the fix was completed and the company refuses to explain their pricing details, which makes it hard for the customer.
I contacted them 5/4/18, for the A/C fix yesterday and am a first-time customer of Rodenhiser. The technician clarified mice had damaged the wiring inside the condenser and was very friendly. The technician explained to my wife that the fix would be 1494! I arrived home to some"repaired" unit which would no longer closed off without cutting the electricity through the circuit breaker. The thermostat controls weren't tested before leaving the job and that I no longer have control of the system.
I want my money back less a price for the parts.
The aspect of the transaction is the pricing. I analyzed the replaced components - a few condenser wiring, an 24v transformer and a contactor. These components are available at Home Depot/Lowes for less than $50 in total. Combined with two hours of labor, the 1494 is a total price gouge.

I contacted Rodenhiser Throughout the Bulk Save program. The machine worked almost perfectly. Two or one of the zones didn't work so I called for support. Rodenhiser took a couple of days but I did not have a crucial requirement for the zones to work. It took a couple of hours before everything was working fine When the plumber/electrician came to the house.
The project took approximately 3 days at all times with two technicians on site. They worked. They were quiet neat, and personable. I have seven zones in my house (1890 frame that had outdated coal into oil burner, heating loops across the house, so I forced every loop into a zone twenty decades back. One told me NOT to utilize USB thermostats (Heck, that needs anyone to snoop via a USB device?) .
It was. I had a 20 or so year old Weil-McLean who was functioning but getting close. If I were not at home As opposed to risk a mid-winter disaster, I decided to find a upgrade for about $20K.
I did request a quotation on some work. Rodenhiser was not so responsive. I sent a few pictures to some manager there; no response; I called got an estimate. That took to complete. After the visit I got an estimate which was more expensive. Given the initial delay, I decided Rodenhiser wanted to concentrate on pipes rather than electric, so I went with someone else. If they've a project that is bundled others can have a different experience.
Everything was working fine ever since then.

I had a Grohe kitchen faucet head replaced. I purchased the faucet thoughts. I couldn't unscrew the thoughts. I just needed the 5 second job done so that I could use my kitchen sink again. I asked for a price but was told it would be $29 to assess the problem and I'd pay by the job but they don't give out any quotations on the telephone. Just disappointed, I said no since I don't wish to pay an price that was open ended for a few turns of wrench.

Although it had no power, my garbage disposal has been jammed. I've fixed jams multiple times, but believed it was fried. Client service and called Rodenhiser was good. However I was taken back by their prices, to"unjam" the disposal was 220, if they needed to replace it995!! (This might happen to be allowed). A garbage disposal prices 199 and between 79 on average. . .installation is less than an hour. Second, I had a problem with my toilet sink which I requested them to look at. They told me my (recently remodeled ) faucet was cheap and to replace just the faucet could be... 700 dollars. Again, a good Koehler faucet will be. These people are a complete rip off, locate someone small and neighborhood with a few integrity.

It was chilly and they worked but Rick and Bill never indicated anything but they were there to help and get the business finished. Rick was careful to notify us if heat or the water will be off and forth. Questions? No Problem.
Amazingly, at 7 pm daily two, Rick and Bill were assessing and re-checking every zone, every thermostat, every vent and all.
I guess everyone hopes to get a good, if not great, experience with a large investment inconvenient, job and I am happy to highly urge Rodenhiser with Bill West, Rick Woods and Rick Picard. Working together was a fantastic experience. Thank you!
While keeping me updated via email, Considering that the install Rodenhiser has filed all the forms for enables and rebate.
Then still later in the evening, Rick, takes us downstairs and obviously explains in detail how the system works the advantage it will be in the long run and how much support his firm offers. The basement area was immaculate.
Setup day came and Rick Woods came (exactly on time) with Bill West assisting. Rick is incredible!
I wished to make the most of the Mass Save rebate therefore quoted 4 boiler businesses and had a 51 year old functioning boiler. Rick Picard out of Rodenhiser quickly outlined his firm had done it several times before , and could do the job for me and was a sales representative that is good, well informed. He knew the Mass Save procedure and was able to offer program and funding support. A fantastic help!

We contracted Rodenhiser to do a few improvements for us. They have surpassed all expectations and with this company our expectations are high! The tech Pat B and his tech Cam H had a plan. They worked well together and the warehouse staff showing up with electricians, equipment and a third tech dovetailed perfectly it, all timed perfectly. The direction has done a fantastic job creating this model to assist the technicians and technicians in the area and giving the consumer the very best experience. Thank you

Horrible! We got a brand new furnace in July and had problems with this BRAND NEW system. I do not suggest that you spend your cash. The service men are fine, but are on the telephone with their"higher up" the time they're in the house"repairing" the problem.

Updated rating..highly recomended Rodenhiser for my daughter and they place at the $19,000 warmth and ac this past year. Well nothing but several failures on the furnace the hottest Tuesday Oct. 23, repair guy coming between 8&10 pm but NEVER arrived. Remove the furnace that is lemon and rodenhiser should step up and then replace it. They extended them the support program but this is acceptable.
