I just had a Mitsubishi ductless cooling/heatpump system installed by Save Home Heat and their technicians, Kaelan, Remy and Nick did an outstanding job! I got three quotations for this undertaking and the quotation from Brandon in SHH was not only the best cost --he developed the best system configuration BY FAR (more about this below). This was a massive investment for me and I spent hours fulfilling those reps and doing my homework online, which means you can save yourself some research time and call Save Home Heat! They're professional, listen for their clients, enjoy their job and work together as a team under hard circumstances--e.g. working on the roof running outlines on a 90 degree plus day. Concerning the system configuration, Brandon was the only one who would (pardon the overused expression) think outside the box. I had been concerned about how the lines would look on the exterior wall running into the condenser--I did not wish to look up from our little patio where we spend a great deal of time and see the lines but it looked inevitable because the units'need to' be mounted on an outside wall. But, Brandon came up with the brilliant idea to install the indoor units on the boiler room wall inside the home and operate the lines through the roof and down the side of the home where all of the electrical and other utilities are--rather than within view of our terrace (HUGE triumph!) . This was not a simple configuration but Remy Kaelan and Nick weren't daunted by the struggle. Brandon patiently answered my questions and has a great deal of experience with these Mitsubishi units that are split. He was also the sole rep who discussed possible rebates with me in the City of Boulder --which they comprise as a line item right from the get go. Both of the other companies never mentioned rebates(??) . Save yourself time and money and go with Save Home Heat--you will not be disappointed!
Save Home Heat reimbursed the $100 fee for the diagnostic and followed .
I phoned this company to provide me a quote. They gave me an estimated price and came out. I called and made an appointment. The tech never showed up. I phoned to ask what happened, and they said that they could re-schedule, but then told me they do not install this model . This is a real waste of energy and time.
I've been using SHH for many decades. I have a service contract with them for boiler my boiler and ACs. They did support that is yearly and the setup. They've never been anything aside from straight forward with support and pricing. The rates are extremely reasonable and the support techs are always useful. They do my plumbing and heating. Highly suggested.
Another furnace service company was out earlier in the day. We understood the burners weren't igniting from the furnace, several hours after they left. Could not reach the very first company - no response to voicemail or email. Tried Save Home Heat; Charles called me back immediately (after hours). Offered to walk to work out the issue, which he did - problem solved. Saved us the trip that is after-hours charge. May be calling Save Home Heat at the future for HVAC Support!
HVAC firms in Boulder can do that job for labor charges.
Rip-off artists. They wanted to charge $605 to replace a $58 igniter on my furnace. That is $547 labor for less than 1 hour of work. I told the tech to depart without doing the repair.
I won't ever use this company again.
It's run normally for the two years and the set up and device price was average we've had it. I'd asked for a silent one, but the one and I have had difficulty working around the sounds.
Among those owners asked me how I felt about the on-call technician not coming out and called me. He had completed some training that suggested asking women would be a fantastic thing. I found it bizarre in a business conversation. It seemed like a diversion strategy to take the emphasis from responsibility for his employee's behaviour.
A new furnace was installed by this company in 2015. Salesperson was great, install was frustrating, 1st on-call service technician was awful, service technician that is 2nd was great.
I received the call today to set up the maintenance trip and was advised this trip is $114 but next time it would cost $199. Most everybody else is about $150. I have cut my ties to this company that their warranty period is over.
Two of the contractors were youthful guys that gabbed like school girls the whole time, which is part of the reason why one forgot to hook one of their newest duct runs, then I had to remind him 3 times to complete the one from the bedroom. Another forgot to replace a cap that caused a small burst of fire that could have been a lot worse if I was not standing there to switch the gas off. The on-call tech I got on the phone wouldn't be coming out and said it had been some thing wrong with the install so nothing, and to call the organization in the morning. The technician that came in the morning, after a night of no heating, watched the cap straight away and fixed it in under a minute. Luckily, no harm to the device.
Dave, allow me to know they are addressing the issue and the owner called to follow up, much appreciated, thanks Dave!
Be sure to find another opinion if they recommend a HVAC replacement. My husband was not home when I called to get our heater's old filter. The company sent someone out over the hour, so I thought I got some great support! The support person did find the filter was broken. He suggested I not only get a new one installed, but since the A/C could also have problems, I must get the system and checked the heating system! This was without scrutinizing the A/C. Then he checked our CO monitor, which reported zero now, but a peak level around 175 was recorded at some point (I have no idea when and probably before we recently moved in). Though his monitor device revealed a zero CO amount too, he explained he did not want to scare me but I should probably sleep with the windows cracked in case. Rather, we reset the detectors so we will know if the amounts spike again (they haven't ). We had a different company visit the next day. They replaced the filter that was broken with a simple one that is going to endure for a year. They got the humidifier working which we believed was done for (Save Home Heat told us it needed replacement also ), plus they told us what else was running fine and educated us exactly what to look for ourselves. We are extremely happy we did not settle for the recommendations from Save Home Heat. That company fixed the problems for about the same cost that Save Home Heat billed us make the replacement recommendation and to check the heating system.
Have used times to SHH for service, plus they were runner up while shopping for a new furnace. Superior experiences together with friendly, thorough people. We've discovered that their rates are inline with other places that do good work in the region.
The heating service is great - polite, prompt, clean, comprehensive - but once I signed the service contract, I did not realize that they were expanding their service to pipes with no option to continue to heating/AC only. Because I have had a plumbing service contract with Precision Plumbing for a long time, I don't require the plumbing extension. I can opt out of a provider, but there is no reduced-cost service contract that is heat/AC-only and I wish there were. Of course I will stay with - they've been taking care of me for a long time.
Nice people and fixed my HSI plug same day, but charged $270
I discovered a part for $50 online - they stated would not bill $75 estimate fee when I got heater fixed - however wow an additional $220 for 15 min to place a part in? My fault - I must have tried myself
While he did the job, I went into check online to find out how expensive a part it was. I could have bought a part for $20-$30 or about $60 in the high end. The total price, from Save Home Heat, was approximately $300 that included labor, the part, and the travel fee that is $75. I was inside, he had finished everything and the job was working with the AC unit.
I realize that companies such as this have overhead that needs to be coated. However this was possibly a 5X markup on time and the part diagnosing and making the fix. This seems high and a company model that is pretty unsavory.
I would call this business since they had been professional and prompt if the price had been much more realistic. I can not recommend them for a repair that is small and I will not be in touch when we replace our furnace. I wish all contractors would embrace practices which cultivate trust and a longterm relationship!
I had a good experience with the correct person who came to the house. He was ancient (but called to make sure that was OK), explained things well, and worked fast. He said I had a double capacitor that was new for my AC unit to find the fan running . He provided me a rate that included the part and labor, but didn't explain things past the rate. I work on the 2nd floor, the AC wasn't working, and he was there with the part and prepared to do the job, although it seemed large. I agreed to the job.
This really is the only business I'll use for years to come. They do more than they have to and appreciate their customers. What more can you ask for?
I wanted this Triangle Tube unit replaced or fixed. This scenario cost me stress and lots of hours of my personal time. Save Home Heat made it directly. It was obvious to me they weren't going to give it up. They predicted in Triangle Tube experts. They sent their own specialist on many occasions. They did what it took to correct the situation.
It's been over 2 months now with everything working. The device was out of warranty and that I was concerned about the price of all these repairs. I obtained the thick envelope containing fees and the fix listings. I nervously read through the pages searching for the charge. Wow, here is a business that did the right thing. While some activities show the integrity of a business talk is cheap. This firm was there to fix the problem and do the ideal thing for a client.
On the free one year review of the device by Save Home HeatI was told all is well but I had a new filter. $300 for a brand new filter each year? I found later that it did not need replacement and used to not replace this - . Lesson learned, ask the Triangle Tube specialist for annual inspections.
The Triangle Tube setup seems very nicely done and went well. Was one of those new zone. This error was corrected about it within a week of my own criticism.
Only short of two years with the Triangle Tube the issues started. First, no water has been discovered on 2 occasions. Save Home Heat delivered this and repairmen has been solved. The Save Home Heat owner consented to cut the repair bill and my price was below $200.
Then, the issues started. As a matter of fact, no heating on many occasions in November when the temperatures were below freezing. I came home from trips to locate the temperature inside my home. That is when the repeated visits by Save Home Heat servicemen started. They couldn't seem to fix the unit and that I actually had to use their electric heaters to warm my home one weekend. Major hassle factor at this point. I was poised to demand a Triangle Tube device as this one did not work. Finally, after a persistence I needed to respect, Save Home Heat's specialist found the possible root cause of these difficulties. Many components were substituted, the expansion tank has been substituted, the Triangle Tube sales representative was more, and present onsite.
Can I buy another Triangle Tube heating apparatus? Absolutely not.
This is an overall upgrade review of my experience with Save Home Heat. Once I chose them to put in a costly Triangle Tube mix heating boiler and water heater unit within my property, I started dealing with them. The installation was done in January of 2013. Well, here we are and I believe I've a good idea of how this business works.
The tech arrived and informed me along with the $75.00 trip charge there are a $74.00 diagnostic charge to assess the problems and recommend a solution that I paid on the area.
I contacted the company and was told was that another $75.00 trip charge would need to be quoted to have the tech return.
Three rooms were not heating.
The identical tech arrived with a bucket of ethylene glycol along with a component.
After 90 minutes that the tech informed me he could not figure out the problem with two of three chambers and the next was repaired attempting to describe 4 to 5 more hours would be necessary to try a solution to the problems with the rest of the rooms and even then he could not be convinced that a solution could be attained.
A week after I was contacted by phone by a business representative that the price of these repairs would be $1080.00 which included another trip charge.
I discovered that the room wasn't heating.
$988.00 later and at the same place as when I began, I have decided to contact another heating firm
I agreed to this repairs and scheduled a service call to be performed a week after although this seemed quite high.
Exasperated, I decided not to go farther with his suggestion and requested if a reduction would occur as the service telephone did not take the 3-4 hours mentioned once I was given the quote and 2/3rds of those repairs were not completed the tech reluctantly lowered the invoice to $913.00
We have used Save Home Heat for support on our furnace for around 10 years, and they are fantastic. Service people are always on-time if are straightforward about describing things in a way that a layperson can understand, and most importantly *are not pushy * about promoting services or goods. We've got the furnace within our 1958 home, and we are consistently given exactly the pluses and minuses of replacing it, rather than just trying to offer us a new one by the technician. We pay about $115 annually to be in their"care club" and they call us to program the annual cleaning and review. A very honest company and highly recommended.
The warmth in our home decided to go out on us (yay). Brandon told us the furnace should be replaced but the issue could be fixed by him, wouldn't recommend it because it would be a fix to go out again. He wrote a proposal out and left us 4 heaters. After some discussion my husband and I decided to have them set up a new furnace. We put up time for him Monday to come. Brandon informed me Tuesday the job would start and came about 6:45 am to adapt my job schedule. I wasn't able to be home during the setup so I gave Brandon my garage code to allow the contractors in throughout my absence. I arrived home to check the status. I was blown away! It snowed and I didn't shovel. I arrived home and the guys shoveled sidewalk and my driveway. I walked into my home and they'd tarp since they came in and out, laid down throughout the home. Brandon kept me up to date on the install's status throughout the afternoon. We had a successful set up and a home! I am very satisfied in my choice of choosing save home heat for my new furnace.
This company is the best!! Super, quick assistance, good explanations friendly attitude.
When my central AC system collapsed during 100 degree weather, I predicted every HVAC company in town, just to find out that wait times were provided two weeks. (I'm looking at you, Precision, with your"same day AC service" false website marketing and your totally lame answering service that never spelled my message.)
Save Home came recommended from a builder I trust, but who was too busy to make a service call. Professional, prompt service the same day was obtained by me. Why the four stars instead of five? Yes, I might have gotten a deal, but with inlaws coming to town, I made the decision to pony up the cash.
They installed a miniature split system last April. Not a problem yet. Their cost was $1,600 lower than the bid. Can advise them. The real reason I picked them was that the recommendation of 3 customers that I understand.
