We specialize in all plumbing repair; as we can mend just about anything or if you want we will replace it. All taps, hose bibs, shut off valves, supply lines, toilets, sinks, hot water heaters and much more. We specialize in fixing or replacing damaged or old drain pipes going out or old leaky bathtub valves, old water pipes coming in. We are going to provide you point by point explanations of any of the job in the event that you so desire or if you want to learn to do yourself to it. We Women's Plumbing Repair are kind, honest, professional and dependable. I discovered a small plumbing years back and I found myself doing a lot of the building maintenance for the tenants to be able to get their needs met sooner than later, once I became a manager of an apartment building in downtown Oakland thirteen years ago. The owner hired me to do a lot of the pipes in the building and I found myself loving what I was doing and that I soon decided I could make a living. I started Women's Plumbing Repair located in downtown Oakland; nonetheless, we will go all over the Bay Area when asked also. Two years back a drain expert, Paco, started working for me and, collectively, we serve our community well. Paco is an absolute jewel, to know him is to love him and, we work very well together.

I am one of those guys who makes matters worse if he tries to fix something. I don't learn. But I replaced the valve in my bathroom, but the connection leaked when I re-attached the water to the restroom. I called Women's Plumbing Repair because of the fantastic reviews. Jac advised me to search for a washer that should have come with the kit that is used to reconnect the water line. I found it, installed it, and the issue was solved! I will call them next time for sure, I want a plumber!
Jac was super nice and so useful! I had a tube for the past couple of days beneath my kitchen sink and within moments, the issue had been diagnosed by her. No more rattle! She also explained everything so that I could understand the reason behind the fix, which I appreciated. Highly recommend!

I called to get a plumbing repair and women's plumbing apologized but their folks were sick and could not get the job done. They gave me a referral for T&T pipes. Once I advised them they were recommended by the pipes of women, they came out in a flash. They fixed my pipes and were polite. I value their recommendation and women's pipes.
Super happy to now have a plumber I know I can rely on. Bonus points for this plumber being a girl!
Only had the plumbing repair encounter!
Jac arrived to look at the sink, which dumped water onto the floor. She had us up in running in no time and quickly repaired/replaced all of the pieces that are appropriate flat!
She gave me a recommendation to another reputable business and she wasn't readily available to work although I called Jac. With a few things, she texted Approximately 20 min after giving me yet another company and talking on the phone to check to that could save me cash, depending on. Wow! She's wonderful. Who ever does this. Jac does, that's who. She brings honor!
Jac is absolutely wonderful. She had hurt herself and was not able to reply to my own need. However, she had been extremely beneficial and asked questions and tried to troubleshoot to me, which she did. She recommended a plumber to perform the job, and it worked out well. Of course I would have liked to have met with this amazing woman. She must be cloned for each and every plumbing company!
Jac answered the phone (I was hoping to leave a voicemail, but it re-routes to her cell and I got her at dinner.) She called me back within the hour. Originally she tried to talk me through fixing the problem myself on the phone (I am a new homeowner and had tried the repair but got to an impasse) which I loved.

She talked me through all the steps so I can repair the simple things myself time, which I loved and came. She explained the tougher stuff, set up a new role, and pointed out workmanship that might pose a problem. She was no-nonsense, instant, and took the opportunity to do it right. Hope I don't have to call her soon if I need to but I will!
Phoned her Monday for an problem - she wants to phone me back once I said my area of concern I am told by her. I affirmed she that she had my number and had not heard from her since.
Update: owner called to tell me after seeing my review that she'd 18 calls that day. To be clear, I did not refuse to speak with her when she phoned - I replied while at work thinking it might be something about my daughter when I realized it wasn't an emergencyI told me that I could not speak as I'm at work. As I do know that sh!t happens I've gone ahead and updated the star review.
Incidentally, my dad was a plumber so I am particularly picky about my pipes;)
Jac rocks around the clock! Following my Chanukah celebration my bathroom was a bit stopped up this afternoon! I tried the trick she gave me a couple of years ago (see previous review) but it didn't work this time. I called Jac in a panic. She said that she was not working today (12/31) and in fact, really was not accessible until Tuesday or even Wednesday. That was not going to cut it and I really didn't need to go find a different plumber. So, OVER THE PHONE, Jac coached me on unplugged itself. In 1 moment, it worked!!!! And, she didn't charge me. Just wished me Happy New Year! GREAT service. I've got her business card in a secure place.

Call Jac for some issues. I predicted to have her ask me that she might come by. In order to fix them, she started asking me questions regarding the issues and gave me information that I needed. If I felt as though I wanted her to she would be happy to find, although she stated that they were repairs. Jac is about enabling people but also being prepared and how they need help, to help them. Jac will now be my plumber to get everything. Can not say enough positive things!
1 star for coming to a Sunday when our water main broke.
I believe the sole reason the pipe got fixed at all was because somebody else that was not associated with her business, took over and did all of the work. Really very disappointed.
No stars for making it and complaining that a lot seem like she was doing us a favor.
No stars for always complaining about her disorders, and really having a type volunteer perform each of the repairs for free, and charging us.
No stars for charging $200 a hour and being very very slow.
No stars for telling and bossing everybody around.
Because it interrupted both of our dishes we ended up becoming pizza at Berkeley afterwards and discussed food.
I had a water flow, I predicted over a dozen plumbers and Jac answered my phone. She had been very responsive and quick to the scene.
Good work mindset and she helped me save money with me turn on the water in rooms.
I had a terrible experience with Jac every step - finally, argumentative, and cranky a waste of time, without making the repair as she left. She made it challenging to schedule an appointment, she got in a debate with my landlady over whether she would park in front of a reddish zone/driveway in the front of the building, told her landlady she was disabled so she desired to park shut, argued with me about the problem of the repair (I had put in a kitchen faucet by myself and did not get it quite right so that I wanted a plumber to fix it), insulted the caliber of the faucet , saw some dark mildew and determined it was black mold, said she could not be about black mold (she is a plumber?) And then said, forget it, I do not need this job, and left. Thanks Jac!
What a wonderful person! Knowledgeable and friendly. My phone call was answered by her right off and did a great job. She will be my plumber for all future needs.
Jac is fantastic! She talked me I tried to locate me an attorney who might have a crisis case and had. My landlord needed me to go through his plumber, so that's exactly what I ended up doing, if it were completely up for me but I'd hire her in a heartbeat!
Jac was amazing. I had been attempting a DIY shower faucet repair, also I loosened up a face plate without shutting off the water. Water came pouring out of the wall and the tub spout. After managing to close off the water I started making calls. Jac was kind and professional. She sped over to my house, although it closed time, also helped clarify how to do a water shutoff and receive water. Then she walked through it so the next day that I could get the parts I needed and fix it up, and took the time to reveal how to correctly do the repair. Finally, she saved me money, helped prevent a tragedy, also taught me how to do a small easy plumbing. The next day to make sure the repair went 15, and she followed ! Thanks Jac!!!!, service
