Irrigation leaks are a big, costly nightmare on a big property with an tree system. Usually we can find them, by hook or by crook, but they are devils.
I will put Jonathan - the leak whisperer - on speed dial.
So we're very grateful and happy and Jonathan couldn't have been more considerate and professional.
We had to shout uncle and call with gas that is traceable from the men this moment.
In addition, he gave us some information about adding another shut-off valve to the backyard - which will save so much time assessing issues.
There are many companies who will or may do this sort of work, BTW.
So today Jonathan shows up right on time and gets to work and finds that the leak - which is actually wonderful.
American Leak came out fast and spelled their prices clearly ahead of that.

We found mold in my cupboard. Technically I found a drawer full of bugs / mite creatures but I digress. Contractor spent a few weeks trying different things, cutting open elements of shingles, etc. to no avail of finding or recreating the flow. I confirmed that the wetness was persistent and bought a moisture meter. I searched yelp for companies with"flow" in the title. The next day I messaged and called and got an appointment. John came to my house, took images, began doing some tests in our toilet and likely over 10 minutes of leaving him to do his thing, he states"I found the escape!" Maybe it's the encounter, a fresh pair of eyes, common sense - it had been worth every single cent to give a phone to them. They can find leak's source and that the majority of the battle.

They located the problem. They remained to repair the issue right and went to find the parts. I was so appreciative for their efforts. They were professional and thorough and explained everything that I understood exactly what happened.

Additionally, call the water dept. and your home owner's insurance, to help pay for part of your own water bill/cost of repair.
I phoned 3 other plumbers in the neighborhood thinking that my escape would be a simple fix, but like their company name states, they discover leaks, which is their specialization. Not all plumbers are in doing this outfitted. Don't waste your time, call them and receive an appointment. I had been fortunate enough to get somebody out and fixed with the following day, although They're busy.

American Leak Detection was great fixing it and is coming out to recognize the location of our slab leak. The communicating and timeliness of calls together with the scheduler, Keifer, has been valued and we felt from the loop. Mike, the technician, took his time in making the fix and pursuing the location. We also had a follow-up item of concern which they addressed to our satisfaction immediately.

With customer service being poor these days, it is imperative to talk about when one has an amazing experience... And I simply failed with American Leak Detection. After 2 weeks of a neighborhood plumber failing to find a leak somewhere in my home that was not observable but leaking over 30 gallons an hour, then I contacted ALD. In the first conversation with Belli into Greg coming out to a day away to fix it, my experience was exceptional. Professional communication, great follow-up and ultimately a pipe fixed under the base below a finished basement... In a single day withthin the projected cost estimate. I can't be more happy with how I was treated and can't recommend this business any higher.

John couldn't be happier and discovered my problem. This week they will do the outside repair and this is going to be the final time I want them out. Having a home on a concrete slab can be distressing when it comes to a water leak and glad that this one is out my residence.
Had ALD outside to my residence on the Peninsula and they identified a"tiny" water leak which was leading to a huge water bill last month. They sent John out and he greeted me with a great attitude and excellent professionalism. On previous afternoon I had my water dept do a couple of pressure evaluations etc but even they had been dumbfounded at the exact place of my problem.

We'd American Leak Detection come out to a house that we bought in the pool in Fairfield, CA due to a leak. I just need to mention what a great group of guys. Greg was able to crawl through which the issue was and came out and then the follow up to fix the issue was done very professionally. My wife and could certainly use their services again and I'm very pleased with the San Rafael office of ALD and consult them.

1. My kitchen saturated.

This past year, we remodeled our home and one of the sewer vents was incorrectly installed. It was weeks and our tenants kept telling us that they sometimes smelled sewer gas. Spoke to solutions, cause that was googled and plumbers and settled on a'Smoke' test. We were lucky that one was ALD. Kiefer was great to work together with the scheduling. He immediately called back and his f/up communicating was spot-on and professional. Most of all, John and Jonathan arrived on-time on the designated day and over 1.15 hours they successfully found the flow and were able to pinpoint the specific area behind the wall. They have been courteous, pleasant to use, promised a detailed report would be forwarded by them over 2 hours and not only did it arrive in 2 hours. It was detailed with pics and well laid out. Thank you ALD. We can put this issue.

I am not certain what happened on the skimmer shift but they did the job and did it as far as I am concerned so five stars.
Two weeks later Kerry came back and was replaced the skimmer with a one personally and here ALL DAY and today all is well. No leaks. I am so pleased. Zero charge. No explanations. It is not necessarily that individuals stand by their warranty and their job. I am impressed and recommend these guys.
The first time last May it had been done, the leak lasted! This time a little slower but it still leaked. So I phoned back Obviously, they have a two year warranty on their skimmer service. I feared they would find all sorts of reasons not to honor their warranty (we've all had that experience before!) . But, these guys are fantastic. Kerry performed the evaluation came again, and acknowledged the difficulty was at the skimmer.
I have a pool in Los Altos Hills that leaked slowly (about a quarter of an inch more than expected per day vs only evaporation). American Leak Detection was predicted by me and they sent over a gentleman named Kerry. He is very polite and very knowledgeable. He is also very patient about explaining the problem. After they completed the escape test and determined that my problem was at the skimmer, they scheduled a skimmer replacement. It wasn't cheap (they needed to cut through my concrete decking and perform the skimmer replacement).

Santa Rosa notified us with all the water shut off the plate continued to twist and that we used an inordinate amount of water. American Leak Detection arrived at the appointed time and three hours they had found that the leak but repaired it. The technicians were skilled and specialist and the cost was fair.

American Leak Detection came into our rescue! The roots in the trees in the front of our home broke a pipe... which also occurred exactly one year ago as well! I phoned ALD, talked with Paul, setup appointment for Thursday (tomorrow) BUT that they could fit us in this afternoon thank goodness (our water bill will be dreadful!) . John S. came promptly at 7:30, as scheduled, detected in which the break was. He proceeded to dig, find the broken pipe, then cut the root that broke the pipe, then did the repairs necessary. After repairs were completed, he put the lawn that had cleaned up any messes to be trimmed, turned the water back and, tah dah, we're back in business!

We are so delighted with the service we received from American Leak Detection. John Stephenson and Ben Andre were noninvasive, professional, wonderful and incredibly proficient. I can't say a lot of things that are fantastic about the ceremony. We had a leak in a slab floor that we didn't realize existed. John found the flow and came and Ben came afterwards and fixed the flow. Both have been so pleasant and enjoyable to have around. I would recommend this organization and the 2 guys . We were in a pinch to get our spa up and running before the"Pool Season" opened in our HOA and called Paul in American Leak Detection. He promptly got us about the program. Their crew found our spa leak away and was considerate and knowledgeable. They came back and then fixed the leak they found. If there was still water loss in our spa after that they fixed this issue and came back in an afternoon. Solid company. They follow through with their responsibilities. Will use them. Highly suggested.

Very feel like I had been a top priority.

We realized we had a hot water flow below the slab when our gas and water bill had been through the roof. We called a couple of plumbers who advocated American Leak Detection to help us locate the flow. John arrived and assessed the situation, found the leak, and we scheduled for a repair. Max came to fix the flow and was prompt, professional, and quite accommodating with my requests (e.g. covering appliances up, sawing the slab and then jackhammering, etc). This was not an easy job and across the way, Max kept me up to date and supplied options and suggestions to me when decisions had to be made. Max worked two days to locate and fix the issue which ended up being TWO leaks beneath the water heater. He repaired everything, went above and beyond in making sure there were escapes, and replaced some pipes. There were a few hurdles along the way but his boss and Max took quite good care of us. Truly customer services. Thank you!

The work itself took under two hours and the tech was no additional problems to worry about.
Leak had my leak checked and repaired and was very responsive within two days of my telephone.
If my water bill is less and that I don't have to worry about home damage the invoice is worth reassurance.
A leak I know who to call is taken by the next time my house!

Don't use any other plumbing service. Panic sets in when you've got a leak and you need work done immediately. It might require a day or 2 to get an appointment with ADL. Close your water off. Go to a resort. Relax. These folks are the most honest plumbers out there. We had a complex job with a leak below a slab. The leak was difficult to find and the work ended up taking but they stood by their quote and got the work done correctly. Unfortunately there are lots of plumbers who want to benefit from you when you are in a panic. Don't fall prey. Go with a business with a solid reputation.
