Shelly further explained that the technician believed I'd have hot water for the evening and they're truly sorry for the inconvenience. I'm a reasonable person and understand that we can't always control results and it would appear in this case, the tech made a fair assessment but sadly the end result was unexpected (and inconvenient for me personally ).
The water heater replacement price $2769. Sure it arrived with a 10-year warranty, but for the price that I could have bought two!
Finally got a new water heater but with much inconvenience and cost. Expected from Reliable. I obtained their thank you card. Although I phoned to express the two items, there was no apology or consciousness of my dissatisfaction. Hope the next year's plumber (can use different business ) will perform better. I have used Reliable for more than 4 decades. What a shame that this experience was so disappointing.
All's well that ends well. Thanks to Shelly and the people at Reliable for reaching out to me and making things right. Appreciatively!
UPDATE (1/4/2017): Shelly of Reliable Plumbing reached out to me personally and we had a conversation about my expectations, the services and warranties that have the 2800 water heater. The water heater includes 10 years' care and warranty. So the annual fee I paid for flush/service is contained. Great! That saves me. I believe this is transferable to the new owner (that's what our Reliable technician explained to me but I will have to look at my warranty papers and will update this review after I do).

In the long run, I've got a fabulous fresh water heater with an exceptional warranty (fingers crossed) and I have decided to keep with Reliable Heating & Plumbing so they'll be back later this year for our annual water heater & furnace test up/service.
The rescheduling induced me to re-arrange my job program three times to permit for this 2 to 4 hour window.
A return trip was took by the appointment. I was left with no warning and without water for the evening. Bird could not wash my hair and bath for me. Washed my face in cold water. Terrible.

I again complained to the supervisor that in actuality, the propane line to the home was not working. He said the day, he'd send a technician out.
I hired in detecting a propane leak to the guest house of the property Reliable Plumbing to help us out. They work closely with their company of choice, American Leak Detection, to find the job complete. They had coordinated between their schedules to address the job and what each others were. That is where it all fell apart. Where do I begin.
Dependable Plumbing shows up to cap the lines. I immediately complained that this should have been achieved before American Leak Detection showed up and that due to their error, $315 was being charged.
They bill you high dollar and you get service. Worst experience working with a company in my entire life.
And so, I determined that I requested the tech reconnect all the lines to my home that he had restricted and had enough of Reliable Plumbing. Please be aware our home did not have the propane leak, it is the line which goes to the guest home. After"finishing the job", the technician assured me that everything was functioning correctly at my house. But the pilot light couldn't be reignited by him . He decided that I needed a new one, although it has had no problems for the last ten decades. He had a unit he advocated. He told me that I must substitute one of the valves to the cooker. I asked how much. $175 to get a new one! I told him I needed to do a little more"study" and wrote him a check to the job which he'd done. $850 bucks for disconnecting and reconnecting a few lines, what a joke.
Giving a score of one star is too gracious. This company deserves a zero for not just their client service, but also their incompetence in their technicians.
American Leak Detection shows up to the property before Reliable Plumbing preformed an anxiety evaluation and had capped the gasoline lines. American Leak Detection couldn't do their job. They left without performing any job and handed me a bill for $315.
But the top is for the last. I went to try to spark my propane stove and it would not light. Not only was my own water heater not working, but now the cooker. Again both appliances also have had no issues for ten decades. Reliable Plumbing comes and all of a sudden, they think I want to update and get units.
I took apart the cooker and water heater and myself know a bit about plumbing. About an hour later, I have both units functioning fine.
It felt as though I was in school. Both companies kept pointing the finger at another company and assured me that it was not their fault. After hours spent on the telephone and nothing I needed to cover the $315. How do either company blame the customer for their scheduling error. I couldn't believe how bad their customer service was.
After speaking with the supervisor from Reliable Plumbing to top it off, he said he needed to come back down to the property before we could test to the gas leak and that the lines weren't correctly capped off by the technician. They went to bill me for their incompetence.

If I could rate this location a 0 stars I would!! Total rip off!! Do not even waste your money people. I called to get our sink. Well they charged us to tell us it needed putty. The man literally was here 5 minuets. Not 10 minutes after I call back them because the water is not going through. The guy comes the next day to tell us the two year warranty us charged for anything was incorrect in the first place, desired to bill another $160 doesn't work, I was completely outraged! This is sickening how they takes people's hard earned money and act like they can not assist you unless you give them cash.

Within 90 minutes of an exchange via yelp I had their office dispatching someone and they had been out to our house. Aaron took his time and totally went above and beyond to clear our pipe. front / region was cleaned up by him where he made sure that everything was good to go and pumped. Among the most painless plumbing calls ever. Thank you!!

My husband and were very satisfied and I used them to get a plumbing gripe a couple of years ago. The techs are always considerate, clean, and respectful and knowledgable. The office team is amazing!

A longtime local resident recommended Reliable Plumbing & Heating Services to me once I needed a furnace cleaning. Nicole provided and was in scheduling me for the next 10, great. Steve came out on time and was beneficial, knowledgeable, efficient, and very pleasant. I ask for Steve, and will certainly call them again, if necessary.

Reliable Plumbing and Heating was fast, considerate, reasonably priced and I had been pleased to support a local business, since I live in Seaside. I will call them for any needs in the future.
On Monday morning I phoned Heating and Reliable Plumbing around 8:30 AM to get a scheduled appointment to get a support call. The phone was answered immediately by a very considerate person, I think her name was Shellie (sorry if that is spelled wrong), who promised to have a technician to us from the day. Good to her word she predicted day and said that Technician Brandon was on the way.
Brandon diagnosed the problem and said he had to order a part, but the component must be in within a couple of days and he would come right out and fix the problem. He was quite polite and courteous, even apologized if he gave us we signed the contract. He did not request the service call fee when he abandoned.
The first thing Thursday morning Reliable called and said Brandon was on the way with the part to our furnace. He not only did the fix so we had to pay once but the furnace and filters smashed and contained the first visit fee within the last bill.

I had the exact same problem as another customer. A snake was needed by my principal line. Was come along and operate a snake. It was a quick visit and cost $328 ($59 for the visit plus $269 for the snake). It worked for a few days then clogged again. I later learned that the issue was they didn't put a blade on the end of the snake that could have cut out roots. I called again on Memorial Day and was told the charge will be $438 to come and do it. Rather I called Roto-Rooter who charged a total of $165. Roto-Rooter used a blade on the snake that solved the issue and cleaned the tree roots out.
Both firms were very considerate, but Roto-Rooter went a step further by adding the blade and charged less than 1/2 the price for the exact same job.

I have been using Trusted for years. I call them to install gas lines refer them they always deliver and when they have leaky pipes or even heating issues. Their communication is always and unmatched on time. They couldn't have chosen a name for themselves to describe their actions. I will always refer heating and plumbing.

Reputable came to my house to snake my line which was $300 and it fixed the issue . I called them to come out and they assert I was not home, if they did but I had been. I called again for service when I told them I have a significant job for them and they came out. (major job=plenty of money) I thought this business would have loved to take my job. Contact me, After the technician came he said he'd have the supervisor. Since my difficulty involves waste I guessed I would be called by the supervisor right away to find this setup. I waited and did not get a call. When I called their office, the supervisor replied. Does not seem like this place needs my money or a review.

This was my first encounter with Reliable Plumbing. I wish I had known about them. They secured my furnace, ( access is under the house), and there was no excess charge or complaints for having to go under the home. They were professional from the first phone call to completion of the work. As promised, notice. Very happy and will surely call them!

Excellent customer service and knowledgeable plumbers. Called them on the day of service flaked following another plumbing company. BF fit me right in and plumbers showed up to install my dryer washer and water softener. When they did not possess a essential part, somebody drove out to provide it. The job has been completed and in a
Quantity of time. Very happy.

I was impressed I managed to get an appointment with Reputable for your next day after I called for support of our furnace. The technician was friendly and spot on time and efficient. I learned a few of things from him, also, which will help me keep tabs. I was surprised and happy that they'd honor it. Something else that I liked was that the office person could get into the history of work they had done at this house. It made it easier to figure out what we had.

I've had Jason come out to my house on two separate occasions. Each time he has been very educated and professional. Jason had every instrument he needed on his truck and installed a water heater tank in an timely manner for me. We were given a 2 hour time period by customer support but came in the time we wanted. Making their clients happy is their goal! Give a call if you need work done to these guys!

Matthew Hopkins was considerate, professional, articulate and productive. Thank you Matthew, today the toilette will not frighten off the trick or treaters! It will be nice to be back in the shower in the Master Bath. I loved how Matthew thought outside the box searching for hazards and gave me several options for fixing. Thank you Matthew! The court found that the damages alleged me and issued the verdict for the were not evidenced with certainty.
Because a complaint has to be obtained within four years of the date that the violation happened for there to be some legal activity on their part, the Contractors State License Board's Casey Coleman disclaimed authority. My claim did not fall in their parameters.
The problem was presented to the Monterey County Small Claims Court and on 10/3/13 Commissioner Martin ruled for the Defendant, Mr Etter based on the statutes of limitation as well as the evidence.
The Better Business Bureau, of which Franklin Plumbing is not a member, declined to get involved and shut the case administratively. Lena Palacio said the company does not belong.
