Chung Wah Plumbing and Fire Protection

Steve was called by us early on a Saturday morning after our fire sprinkler was accidentally broken and warm water all . Steve was in the house in a few hours, replaced the sprinkler, and turned on the water back on. We appreciated his professional and fast support. He also receives high marks!

This man is fine enough and prices are fair, but he severely scratched my toilet when he snaked it (see pics). I said it to him and he just kind of mumbled something, maybe not taking any responsibility or apologizing.
Basically only a half ass attempt at service. You get exactly what you pay for...
He then snaked my upstairs toilet and broke a pipe, which resulted in water running all over the bathroom floor and water.

Highly recommend these guys. I called at least 10 businesses all to reinstall. Some $300 for about an hour worth of work.
I happened to be walking by Chung Wah within my area and met the manager Steve. He had his own guys finish reinstalling in under an hour and managed to give a fair price to me. Highly recommend them. Efficient and fair.

My mother-in-law lives in the Richmond District, along with her water heater stopped working on Sunday. The pilot light would not stay lit. I predicted Chung Wah thing on Monday morning. The thermocouple was replaced by them and had it repaired by noon. Fantastic service and.

I Have used Chung Wah Plumbing for the past 12 Decades. They helped me along the way using a remodel, and with many plumbing jobs. Their workers are competent and hard working. Steve (their boss) is knowledgeable and responsive. Their hourly rates are comparable to other technicians however, the Chung Wah job will cost less because they operate fast. Why? Because they are busy and need to get to their job. Employ them if you would like to experience work ethic and see them work!

The water heater ball valve was leaking so I called Chung Wah Plumbing. The guy who answered the phone asked me if I needed a morning or afternoon service call. So the guy said they would be outside after 1PM I opted for afternoon.
So it didn't take long to remove the ball valve and install the new one, it was not a job. I've copper pipes in my four year-old house so the pipes had to unsolder the leaking valve and sweat (solder) the new one in. The water turned back , after installing the new ball valve and I assessed ball valve and the pipes for leaks. No escapes were seen by me. I informed them I was satisfied and they filled their tools and supplies and left.
At 2:20PM the 2 technicians revealed up. There was a plumber and an older plumber. The guy had great communication skills and the plumber was difficult to comprehend. I showed the ball valve in the water heater to them and then they went back into their truck to get supplies and their tools. I advised them they had to shut the water off in the front of the house so that was.
The 2 guys did a professional job. I was charged $100.
When I have some more plumbing issues, I will definitely call Chung Wah.

Service in the Outer Richmond, reasonable prices. Installed a new bathroom in 1.5 hours cleaned a drain into my back yard after a great deal of rain backed it up. I would highly recommend this company if you live from the Ocean Beach...

OK for simple, straight forward work. I've advocated Chung Wah previously. But, I can't recommend them in the future.
In this case Steve could not find the source of the first leak. Even when I determined the source, Ping was verified that I did the work and was correct although dubious. After I pointed out the flow in precisely the exact same place where the work had been completed, correct it and Ping declined to check out it. I want to be able to trust and rely on the people working for me and expect them to stand behind their work and see the job through to completion. Based on the above, I do not feel I could rely on Chung Wah or on Ping on Steve.
I have no doubt in this instance, while the source of flows is often hard to discover. I had also was ready to pay for it. Ping signaled to me and declined to assess no urge to do the work that is essential to fix the leak or to stand behind his work.
Recently, I had pipe that is broken or a significant leak. Steve Leung assessed one flooring and came out and assured me there was no leak wanted to caulk. He insisted the leak could not be coming from the next floor up. I caulked like mad but the leak continued and that I determined the leak was indeed coming out of the next floor up. This time period verified the flow was from the next floor up came out and replaced several significant pipes for about $700.
I've used times to Chung Wah to replace pipes and they were competent to handle a clear job like that. Fixed the plumbing but you have to hire someone else to repair.
Subsequently was a very small drip in precisely the exact same location as where the work was completed; but that seemed to stop and that I had a contractor repair the paint and ceiling. After several months it was clear that the trickle hadn't stopped and needed to be repaired. Ping arrived out. After I pointed out the mould and dampness from the area he had just repaired, he assessed the unit above, conducted the water and assessed the outside piping to learn what the source was. He said he would do nothing since he could not be certain where the leak was coming from although it was in precisely the exact same place where he had replaced the pipes.

It's Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The guy I spoke with on the phone said'you have backed yourself into a corner with the vacation coming up' Hey! The pipes weren't caused by me. Can NOT contact this company, especially if you're female!

Work was good and pricing was exceptional but....took them a very long time to begin. They missed their launch date by one week.

Ibeen extremely delighted with the quality of the support and their costs and've called Chung Wah several times throughout the last few years for household plumbing tasks. They get here as quickly as they can, they're effective and they make every effort to keep the cost of the work as low as you can. I'm very impressed! I feel really lucky to have them close by in the Richmond District.

These guys are fantastic! I called with a semi-emergency. Steve was able to come within a few hours evaluate the situation and to have a look.
