I hired this firm to replace my water heater. It had gone and we had a consult scheduled with another firm who failed to show up. I contacted Thrifty Plumbing to determine if they can help us out, and thankfully they were able to come the next day. The plumber showed up on time and also got the work done in a reasonable amount of time. The best thing - Thrifty Plumbing was by far the best price! We'll definitely be using them.

The problem was little and he was completed in 10 minutes. He told me because he had to push all the way although he would not have charged me anything he was going to bill me. He originally said $60 but charged me $30 more. He also said he hadn't been occupied, which I guess is why I was charged by him and then increased the amount.
I will make certain that you select someone else so I do not hear that driving Modesto is your reason.
I will make certain that you call a provider close for me to avoid the criticism he had to inconvenience himself driving into my home.
I know hiring a plumber could be expensive but I'm most disappointed with saying one price and changing it, because he had to drive across town and then whining. I'd think sometimes you go where the project takes you and not assert it would have been free but because he had to push, he's charging me.

These guys did a great job, and they were fair and professional. I would hire them again.

Would highly recommended them! Needed a new tub faucet installed following a remodel. Paul came out twice as I needed some extra stuff. He let me know exactly what I had to get so that the faucet could be installed. Called back and that he managed to return back a few days later. They worked around my schedule and the ladies in the office are so nice. Paul was great as well. The price was less than anticipated too.

If you require a plumbing assistance and reside in the Riverbank / Modesto area, Thirty Plumbing is the place to call. Our water heater went out I got a response and messages the Plumber on yelp to get an estimate. They came out to get a free quote with just two hours of finding them.
We ended up needing a completely new water heater (that we assumed) but it took 1 day to order and one hour to install.

The plumber showed up and took approximately 5 minutes to determine that they needed to order a hose. They put one on order (they said it'd be around $20) and returned two or three days later on Monday after the hose had been delivered. They had been working on work near our home so they made a quick trip over here and replaced the nozzle in approximately ten minutes or not (I didn't time them). The bill came and we were charged by them for 2 visits even though the visit price was never mentioned earlier and the hose had been. I don't really think that a hose to get a kitchen faucet ought to be $48. It took him more than doing the repair, to make the invoice. The plumber did a good job and has been fine, but plan on paying 2 visits and a mark up on any items which need to be bought unless they possess the items in stock. Without the surprises on the invoice the score would have been higher but I wouldn't call them"Thrifty".

Called with my water heater not working. Mike figured out the tank was broken came out within hours, and replaced it. Fantastic service, thanks so much!!

These guys deserve full marks! I discovered them. Told them I had a nasty problem: At the ground, possibly under a sidewalk, possibly in the cement (slab). I couldn't even identify the leak's location. He scratched at his head. He tried to isolate the issue. Scratched his head some more.
He then walked. (I knocked on the door and talked to my neighbor. In short order, figured out the flow was there. Best news: The problem was not even on my house (tho I was convinced it had been ). The icing on the cake: me did not bill for his time.

Extremely professional. Paul looked at several of the plumbing issues of my home and came out and was very beneficial.

Called to get a water heater replacement, my home is hard in the there is only 20" of width to install. Thrifty quoted me a price compared to the other 3 quotes I received and managed to finish the work day. They were prompt educated and clean. I will use them again and would advise Thrifty to a friend. Before and after pics included.

Not only did they develop a solution that nobody thought about (thanks Mike and Paul), but they did it for a fair cost, and with far less disturbance to my own household. I had appointment they called and offered a spot that was earlier! Really professional. Showed up on time, explained any and all problems which arose(I have old house) and promptly fixed what I requested to be repaired. Can not ask for much more(other than a free service telephone )

Thrifty plumbing assisted us drains. We ended up having to own our pipes and it was completed and unclogged in under one hour. In working form our sink was back and we could not be happier . They have been quick functioning, sort, and friendly. I asked around for quotations and they were the most affordable pipes service around. Highly recommend their service!

Paul and his partner Chuck did an superb job on my pipes issue, I had a leak in the wall and they were able to repair my escape without needing to break away the stucco on the outside of the house, instead, they came from the interior behind the dishwasher and then mended the pipe and then resealed the gutters as if it was never touched. The pricing was also very honest and they showed up in the time. Would recommend and look to use them.

Chuck is. He did a wonderful job. I appreciated that he would check in and fill me in on what he had been doing. The problem I thought it was it wasn't, Chuck explained exactly what it was and fixed it. Thrifty Plumbing will be my go to plumbing necessities. They arrive at the time they tell you and I love that I receive a call I want to know that they're in their own way.

Boy! After hearing everyones opinions and quotations, we went with Thrifty Plumbing. Mike scheduled time and a date to perform the repair, and gave us quote. He came out with a helper first in the morning, checked the sewer pipe under the cement, replaced the broken clean-out, and poured concrete to complete the job in about 3-4 hoursand as with several other reviewers, it ended up costing less than what he quoted us to the"worse case scenario". Remember that his worse case scenario quote has been STILL LESS THAN the quote we got out of the other companies! Mike was knowledgeable, quite friendly, honest and upfront. A buddy at our church recommended Thrifty Plumbing to uswe recommend them to neighbors and our friends as well and shall do the exact same! Thank you Mike, for all!
It was one thing after another for us. THANK GOD it did not lead to any visible damage to cars or homes close to it, although the storm this winter compelled our tree to fall over! During troubleshooting a backup in our drain and also we had, we discovered that we had a fracture in the clean-out in front of our garage. We were thinking that there may be a possibility that a pipe connected to the sewer could have broken, since our tree dropped. We knew it may be a big job (would have to cut open some of our drive to expose the pipe underneath), so we got a few quotes from firms around us.

Our insurance broker suggested we get a second opinion. He believed it seemed odd that the first company did not have the sufficient equipment right on hand and which required yet another service fee plus use of the camera snake. We called one company that said the quote was free-if we had him do the job, otherwise there was an estimate charge. Seriously, buyer beware!!
Then we called Thrifty for an estimate. He arrived with all the equipment needed to do the job and YEARS of experience. He found that a tree stump had rooted into our lineup and had the camera snake on hand. He did not charge an exorbitant rate and worked on our problem like it had been his very own home; giving waaay more effort compared to the first company. It was a hot afternoon but the man would not give up before the line removed.
At my job, we called another company who believed they fixed the issue, plumbed the lineup and came outside. We had been overflowing 7, the next day. They plumbed the lineup again-still not locating the problem and arrived back and suggested we cover for still another service call to have their proprietor develop a camera snake.
Thrifty Plumbing LITERALLY saved a thousand dollars the first company estimated for equipment usage and trip charges where the blockage was, and they were not even sure. I had been so impressed with Thrifty Plumbing's dedication to solving our issue and also to get the plumber's (Mike?) Honesty by not benefiting from us with equipment use fees and extra service calls, that I asked for many small business cards to hand out to our business neighbors. Thrifty is the company I'm calling if I have a plumbing problem in my residence. Can't thank you guys enough! Professional. Dedicated. HONEST.
