*here is a upgrade because I just read the owners comment. No support was done from this business. Why? Since we had a crisis situation and didn't get a plumber to my unit to help us. The customer service rep was rude and not helpful when I called... so this review is about the customer service representative once I called initially.
I'd like to speak to a customer support rep who's a little more useful than"we can't offer any quotation over the phone". We had a crisis situation, and decided to just go somewhere else. I'd asked a round about cost (and that I said we will not hold it against her we needed some what of just how far it would be for). Not really too useful at all. And frustrating. I would say.

I nearly died laughing when I was informed of the! Imagine that. . .Roto Rooter thinks they have the upper hand in their clients who complain. There are hundreds of qualified and HONEST plumbers on this island. I'm giving my company.
Please, do your self a favor and stay clear of Roto Rooter. Most Yelpers whine about the fee scale that they use and it is completely correct. I still have the receipt to prove how much I paid. Read on Yelp where the hard-working and honest plumbers are on this island and find out. Roto-Rooter is about making gains and overcharging for plumbing services. Simply say"NO!" Into Roto Rooter!
Simply say"NO!" Into Roto Rooter. I was charged $356 to snake a drain. This was not an emergency nor did the job require more than 30 minutes to complete! When I called about other places (after the fact) I found local plumbers who offered quotes of $90-$125 per drain which sounds far more reasonable. They aren't focused on client service at all.

The Business Manager FINALLY responds after TWO MONTHS! No, thank you! Stay away from Roto Rooter!

Had horrible experience with Roto Rooter. They overcharged for so called"special clean up" at $1,300 that I totally dissatisfied. This us at top of $800 for crisis service for clogged toilet which I thought quite pricey, but can not avoided. I notice that the tech who came was inexperienced and consequently his manager required to be called two. It required more than 6 hours to repair. Don't recommend anyone to buy the extras.

Called them just before 5pm yesterday b/c bathtub and bathroom was backing up, took ALL my advice and had been told they had someone available just allow him traveling time, waited an hour no call, no show so I called back and another person answered could not find any advice of prior call and that no one was dispatched, was told they are running behind today and to reassure me dispatcher will call me with an eta this was about 6:15pm. . .no call, no display, meanwhile the family couldn't shower or use bathroom all night!! I called them now about 9am to file a complaint and discovered this was a call centre from the mainland but she stated this was"corporate office". . .sooo that is why she stated to allow for traveling time plumber and catch a plane to hawaii from the mainland of course dispatcher called the plumbers in hawaii were awake and me after I whined! Obviously, we used at least they had been straight although someone else which made us wait til 2pm and did not lie!!
They don't deserve 1 star but couldn't post this!

They fix the problem, available 7 days per week and they are good on their word when they quote you $278 to repair the problem and no longer. Holiday or no weekend rate if it's Christmas! Sam W. Is devoted to ensuring the problem gets fixed. He installed a new toilet for us! Did an superb job Sam!!! Thanks!

Never use Roto-Rooter for your plumbing requirements. A pipe cleared for me personally with a machine. It took about one hour and the cost was $500. When they asked to find a pipe that was lousy, I denied. Call A-1 Budget Plumbing for the same problem a month later and they just charged $150.

In my experience, they are not but although rot0-Rooter Plumbing may assert to be an emergency plumbing service. Our pipes was backing up in our home. Google assisted us to figure out that the drain should be released by us at the exterior of the house, which is brand new construction btw. Once we released the drain, all the sewage in the home drained out (It was gross; use your imagination here). Whether his plumber has been the cause, our builder even came out to inquire. Nope. Turns out it's the sewer line and a professional with an auger will do.
Dear nation-wide company, day if I am waiting, I am going local. Put that in your principal point and, well, you get my drift.
They will have somebody out with. Yay, I say! Not so, they say an hour after when they call to cancel the emergency service and offer the moment to reschedule.
It's 7 o'clock on a Sunday, routine sh*t floating in.... Like they are able to save the day, or my principal drain that is clogged and Roto-Rooter seems.

Not even an hour later I receive a call that the plumber titles is Joseph and he'll be within 15 minutes.
The three stars relies on the business. Joe warrants five stars!!! He clarified what he was going to do and was very down to earth. Joe is a Filipino man so we spoke about Filipino food and the Philippines. He and nice man is highly suggested by us. I enjoy the type of people that come over do their job and speak story... local stuff. Thank for clearing our drain you Joe!
I called Roto Rooter next since they're a large business that was well-known. The man I talked to said he can not give me a quote over the telephone, but they are able to send over someone to do a free quote. I told the man to ship the plumber within. He said someone will be there within two hours and took my address and he'll call when the man is on his way. Yes, it seems ideal!
Joe went to catch his tools... an automated snake... in about 15 minutes drain was unclogged and running just like new! Phew... that was fast so possibly the price would go down significantly! He put back everything and proceeded to charge us he said $300 plus tax... my boyfriend agreed not understanding just how much cheaper we could have gotten it from another plumber. Even after speaking to a relative, she said her plumber only charged her We got ripped off! They do the work but way!
Joe arrives and looks at our tub and our outside sink... the pipes are connected. He understood what the problem was he drew up our quote... it came out to be about $350 plus tax... so that my boyfriend and I decided to let him fix it because we tried everything which already bothers us about $100 and he was already there. We did not know it went to shoot but we guessed at least an hour or more.
Our tub drain was clogged for a bit more than a week and we tried everything... baking soda and vinegar, warm water, Drano, Liquid Plumr, a lye product along with a snake. None of it worked and we had been frustrated, wanting to take a hot shower in home and tired of spending so much money on products which weren't functioning!
Said they can do it and was the morning after. I told them since I prefer a set rate cause I did not know how long it would take to unclog the drain I'd call them back and we are low on money. I also did not want to wait until another day make my boyfriend was already ready to head out to the shop to buy more products to use... another waste of money.

Needed a water heater setup.

Look out for these guys.
$3,150 for labour (you read that right, three million dollars) whole every other plumber will be quoting between $300 and $500...
Also a taller employee and an old Asian employee visited for an on-site estimate. They saw my brand new Rheem Platinum Water heater then also about 5 minutes to write up a quotation on a Post-It note...

Should you ask me you are better off calling another plumber. I will add that they agreed to repay a portion of what I initially paid but without resistance.
This is my episode within 12 weeks of the same nature; water backing up in toilets & showers. They appear to clean the line but don't finish the job together with the camera and scope.
They did not call OR appear for 4 appointments in a 6 day period to take the picture to find the problem's source out.

3) I never use Roto-Rooter or refer them. How do I know I won't have a lousy experience should I devote Roto-Rooter a chance. I not waste my time!

9:50am no series. I call back the customer service line and am routed to dispatcher's voicemail. I left a message if no one shows in the next 5 minutes, stating I need to go back to work and can't wait no more.
Scheduled my estimate for 5/3/2019 involving 8a-12p. Elias from sending me in the morning at 8:30am stating tech. So I call their customer service line at I am still waiting. Telephone rep puts me through to dispatch and dispatch says so ETA is 15-20 minutes, tech is in traffic.
9:55am no series. Horrible experience.

This firm allowed me to reserve them. Was 4:40-10:30pm. 10:30pm no one showed up and came. I called back and they said there was no reservation for me personally. Well who did I devote all of my information to???? They allowed me to reserve for the next morning. After waiting again they called and said they do not support our region. All of this time when I could have called someone else to do the job, . Never !!!! This company has terrible customer support.

The job was completed,but the plumber Jake,ripped my father off, my buddy used to work for them and he showed me there company cost range manuals, nicely he over charge my 80 year old father like $100 over and charged for a chemical that he never left, Roto-Rooter I am still awaiting for you to get back to me.

Major clog in our residence. Guy came and washed it out. The following day it clogged again. He came back and said that. Called A1 and they said the guy did not even open the cleanout. He discovered that the clog 1 minute later beginning his snake. A1 asked just how much the guy charged and what did he charge for. $400. My mother in law called him. He did not give a receipt to her. So rotten.

I called my friend who is a plumber and asked how far he'd have charged, he said 50 for service call and $25 for real repair for example the $1.25 fitting, I asked what if you didnt understand me,'' he said $100 service and $25

Choose them if you like to get as-raped with no dinner or lube, I called them to get an emergency repair that consisted of soldering one fitting, the repairman came and wished to bill my spouse $450.... to solder ONE fitting. My wife called me and I talked to the tech, I said thats a crazy price, I know its a crisis call (in the center of the day), I dont mind paying travel and emergency price but $450 for 2 minutes of work? He then said $250.... I advised him no ill deal with it myself when I get home.... He explained"since im here, tell me how much you'll pay and I will ask the boss" I told him no more than $200, so he immediately said okay and did the work, he then charged my spouse $216, $16 for one fitting that I bought at city mill for $1.25.

Had since everything backed up again a few hours 14, to phone them back. Was told they would come between 2am-5am. Waited but nobody came, known as back(808-2150399) and obtained the same man in routing who afterward said let her figure out what's going on so she puts me on hold and to my surprise transfers my phone to another who stated just began his shift. He tells me he doesn't know what's happening. . .neither said I am sorry we left you wait patiently each of these hours for nothing. Service was quick to come bill me and get the job on who's coming back to correct or do the work right on a second try but so far no follow up. What did I cover?

These folks must think we are all rich in Hawaii and they probably want to work with those folks. Yuck! A pox on RotoRooter.
Total ripoff! They told me it would cost $545 to snake the clogged toilet and run a camera down it to check the lines and came.
I am waiting for a local plumber of paying no more than $250, with the great hope.
He would phone his boss to get a better price although he explained it was a package deal, when I asked what it would cost without the TV examination. I asked how much and he said, probably $350. I told him I simply couldn't manage it and wss hoping to pay $250.
