Another 5 stars for Charlie. This time it had been the furnace instead of the water heater-- but the result was the same. Super fast, super friendly, and a price I trust was more than fair. The only time I've used anyone for me was when I could not reach him and wanted someone quick to fix anything, and I've never felt this amount of trust with anybody.

Don't squander your time. Does not answer the phone, no call back over 2-3 times attempting. Likely from business.

I couldn't be more grateful for Charlie the plumber and his solutions. I had a renter phone me at 7pm and tell me that there was a leak in the roof, so what I saw horrified me along with I requested him to send a movie to me. There was water raining down from the ceiling and gushing from the baseboards. How does water gush from the baseboards is beyond me but it happened. I called Charlie, where the water may be, he down me, picked up right away and told me. He showed up 20 minutes after, educated me on what had been also the way and the issue to get the issue resolved. My issue was fixed in under a few hours.

Called Charlie three times and left a message on his voicemail. Unfortunately he never got me back.

My spouse was able before Charlie arrived to get in contact with his man, so it turns out we didn't want his services.

After speaking with a few HVAC companies with a high price simply to come and do an inspection, and obtaining answering machines without a call back from a few others, I was relieved to hear from Charlie. A man. He said that he could come by within the hour to take a look at my bum heater (and it is the middle of winter!) .

Do not be scared by lack of the overall amount of reviews here. There was 30 reviews when I looked. He is his own surgery. He doesnt need to pay all of the performance fees for folks to answer his telephone, scheduling, payroll....all those things that other businesses have to bill you for.

I'm thankful for all of the honest reviews on Charlie. This man is the guy. Very knowlegable. Very fair. Really quick. He had been in and out in less than 30 minutes. He did necessary review,, confirmed the leak, cut pipereplaced, and made sure work was completed prior to departing.
Charlie is exactly what a good plumber ought to be. A seasoned craftsman who knows how to correct issues.
I phoned around to about 10 places getting quotes, how they bill ( flat vs. period ) prices, etc.. I picked Charlie because of the good reviews because he actually listened to me, also on Yelp. He knew I did all of the work already and all he would have to do is come in and do a quick pipe splice. Everyone else wanted to send an inspector ( even when I delivered photos )
I recognized the leak myself and cut the drywall myself.

Rats! This second time was a different story although I gave a review the one time that I used his support to Charlie.
I called him to get a number of small to large projects ranging from a leaky pipe to replacing drains to installing central air. He would call me back and wasted 6 days telling me he had a job to finish. I finally realized he only put me off. For thinking him bad on me! But why do so?
What a jerk!

I have been phoning for three times and I keep getting a message that the mailbox is full. Charlie should delete his voicemails how can he supply a service if he doesn't answer the telephone or in the event that you can't leave a message?

On Monday my hot water tank expired. I called quite a few technicians but only 1 was willing to work on my schedule, and that was Charlie.
The heater had replaced, so he had me buy the tank from his provider, which was good as I could put it on my cardI paid him with a check to the labor. Itself was cheaper than what I could find online, and the cost on the labor was honest.
The point is, if you require a plumber telephone Charlie...I guarantee you will be delighted with his work, professionalism and price. . .He's a hell of a wonderful guy too.
He might have met me but I couldnt get out of work after he ended another job, that he consented to stop by in the evening. Even though his other job conducted extremely late, he was still willing to swing by at 9:30pm to take a look...I REPEAT, HE DID SAME DAY SERVICE AT 9:30PM!

He checked the electrical connection first, which was nice, and found out that the sump pump had died when Charlie came . So right away, he came to start replacing the pump and ran outside to catch a fresh one. It didn't work when he analyzed the sump pump, and he ended up finding a clog. He fixed that issue straight away. Charlie finished that I needed to leave for work.
On the way, which had been much appreciated by this first time home buyer, he took the opportunity to explain what he was doing and gave me some tips throughout the procedure. It was pleasant to experience someone so thorough and pleasant... Plus, Charlie gave me a very good price on those services. It's wonderful to know he's close to my'hood. I'd offer him a call when I ran into any other plumbing issues.
The plumbing on the reduced level of my location went haywire a couple of weeks back and there was a smelly overflow of water where condensation drained coming out of the drain. Charlie was called by me and left a message. He chose up to allow me know he had been working on another job and called back, and I waited a couple of hours and would phone me back. Charlie called back about 9:30pm and explained that the matter is associated with my sump pump. I told Charlie I needed to leave for work at a certain time the next day so he said that he could come over in the morning. In the meanwhile, he also told me to not conduct any water on the lower amount.

Charlie never returned my phone, double, for a pipes and for a heater that was broken. Charlie attempted. City sorry Charlie & Suburban Cooling & Heating failed phone me back. They're in my hood and they have been sexcellent.

My tenant had a up tub. This water moved although I tried with some home remedies but. Something attempted through the sink too and struck the seal and that was when I knew I was in over my mind and needed to call the experts.
Later that day he needed to give a report to me that he had cleared the drain, my tenant said he did quite professional and a fantastic job. I am so happy that he ended up being a man that is fair that I called him. He could have charged me extra for a cable that was brand new. He would have said that it had been worse because of where the block was, that it had been. But he did not. Honest man. Fantastic guy. He even took the time to explain to me how my pipes arrangement was in my toilet! I never understood!

I pulled up Yelp and known as Charlie at 9pm. His answering machine tells you to call his mobile with waiting until the morning I chose to wait but because my tenant was ok. The following morning I called him early and bright and he told me he would be by later that day. I called him asking for an upgrade and he said that his cable bent and I had a stubborn rust congestion! He was decided to unblock it although he said he had been on his way to the shop.
Call him if you want him for pipes. I will upgrade when I want him for heating services (which frankly I hope is a long time from now!) . Thanks Charlie.

We have been using. Charlie came out the same day - when he said he would arrive arriving. He explained. When it took longer than he had anticipated (we have a tricky drain, which I understood from the last plumber and being unable to repair it myself), he did not complain he simply said they'd continue working until they fixed. it. It was 5pm when he started - 7:30 when he ended. Without trying to sell me anything else he gave me a price on it and guidance on the issue.
Ihaven't been happy with some of those adventures and've needed to call a plumber several instances in Chicago. I'm happy to have finally found a guy.
