I'd use water bottles to capture the drip. We knew it was going to be a big project so that we hesitated for a long time to re-pipe the house. But, it needed to be carried out. We made the call.
"We can not live like this anymore!"
We said"let's do so". We couldn't be happier with the results.
I highly recommend Repipe specialists. They have from what I could explore the expertise and they had good references. Kim and tim conducted the project and did a terrific job. The toughest part was clearing away decades of"stuff" in our house to get to the pipes. We do it so that the repiping could go.
I go into my kitchen sink and actually have to turn down the faucet a bit since the water gushes from this wonderful new faucet with full pressure. I am still amazed and wish I'd called. This is.
Ross did and came out.
All in all, though, I would work with this provider . So far, the work appears strong, the service was professional and the job was done up and quickly to our expectations.
The first is the price; it's an expensive project irrespective of who does it, however, Repipe Specialists was higher. Plus I keep seeing 20% off discounts and feel a bit because I had not seen those before we reserved like we overpaid. They could get the job done sooner and faster, so at the time we believed it was compared to hiring a different company. The guys also broke a couple of things in our basement (like a mop bucket, which I presume they employed as a stepping stool), that was not a big deal, but they should have advised us instead of simply leaving it.
We utilized Repipe Specialists when a pipe burst over the winter and we understood many of the pipes at our 1913 house were rusted out and can explode at any time. Dave, our contact, was really amazing; he gave us a very quick, all comprehensive quote, came out to do an appraisal and scheduled the job in a timely manner. The crews that replaced the pipes and repatched the walls were speedy and polite. When they stated they'd, which does not always happen with repair providers, so that was fantastic, the crews showed up.
We had our plumbing repiped. We'd water pressure that is really bad in the shower. No hot water onto the laundry faucet because of rust and rust buildup. For many years we couldn't conduct any water if someone was showering. Give us a quotation and ross came out to see us. He is a great guy. He knows his stuff. He explained what had to be carried out. He got us 0 percent because we qualified, funding. Two pipe specialists came to see the house's design. Kim tim and crew did an outstanding job! They experienced, and certainly have been on time, professional, considerate. We are so happy with the work! They're work! Took a day longer but because they desired to do it correctly. It had been worth every cent! I strongly urge Repipe Specialists.
I scheduled an appointment to get a quote to get my own house Repiped. Then on the afternoon of my appointment a manager called and quoted me a price that is massive without visiting the house!! He said"he has done enough houses that he doesn't need to come out. . .it's a waste of his time"
I asked why it'd be so much and he responded"I don't make any money on little houses""so I would rather perform bigger houses""I Must charge you that amount because it's small"
The business simply doesn't want to operate on homes. They enjoy the big houses where people have a budget.
I was really unhappy with this particular provider.
They did a good job and clean. Would suggest. No one would like to have no water for a week or more. These guys banged out the pipes in 1 day patched the instant.
Note that Repipe Specialists are not going to do the work, simply the earnings, appraisal, and client service. They subcontract the work to local companies across the nation. With Affordable Plumbing , I worked in my case in Chicago. That said, it would appear that a ship runs a tight and work hard to ensure that their subcontractors are of the highest quality.
My experience was very good.
Horatio and the group of patchers and plumbers were professional and courteous and did work. It required less time than estimated and disruption was minimal.
1 snafu was that though there were many visits into the house by earnings in addition to the work group before the work was signed and started, nobody cared to check if the b-box was functioning, which I've since learned is a frequent problem in Chicago. We found it was really broken when it was finally checked by us. This took me to find the city's water branch to fix it, which took delaying the work to winter season and the holiday season. We could have saved everyone a great deal of trouble if this was checked ahead of time. Repipe Specialists should add this for their earnings process.
The cost was high, but I appreciated the option to utilize 0% funding after a reasonable down payment
I am a bit disappointed that water stress hasn't improved as much as I had expected, but I do not fault the team or their work for this. The good thing is that water pressure is currently very stable, and we can run four bathrooms in precisely the same time in the building!
Salesperson did not appear for the appointment. Third time scheduled and he calls for a day before saying that he's in the neighborhood and could see us. He shows up in cargo shorts and a motorcycle rally t-shirt. He states he will let us talk and return and sign the paperwork. I moved and advised me that night I wasn't going to sign anything. He said'only sign it and you have 3 days to cancel. I'm not high pressure. I know because I am such a salesman, you will sign it. Other companies want to steal away me' I advised him I wasn't going to sign because I'm paying outside, I research. He gave a folder of items to see to us. I did read the paperwork from the folder and had follow up questions that he would not reply. I felt that he had been extremely condescending and wanted me to shut up and sign the paperwork. No business card or business email. Ended up using courteous, professional and a professional plumbing firm that wasn't contracted outside.
They cleaned up nicely, did great work, completed on schedule, were very personable, and followed the quote. I would've given 5 stars, but somehow the job caused our older, concrete tub to start leaking. I was told that would be a distinct job (and more $$$).
So aside from the tub leak that is incidental, I had an extremely positive experience. I would use them again, if I did not have a house filled with new, shiny pipes:)
After obtaining several quotes for altering the basement pipes at our 3bd, 2bt home (all of which were above $8000), I called Repipe Specialists. They quoted me $6400 to perform the entire house!
I wish I'd done this earlier. The idea just sounded so extreme we keep piling escapes. In the initial quote of repiping my house to the process, this is. Six guys arrived on time. Every one introduced themselves to me with a handshake, and they went to work. 5 1/2 hours later cleaned up, they were done, and gone. A team repaired all the sheetrock and showed up, two days later. AMAZING...
Crew was great, got in and out in a day on our two bath / kitchen / main job. Also have been out and in in a day once they camera to seal it all up.
Bought a SFH at July 2016 and not every one of the pipes have been updated using a remodel in 2005. Left most of the galvanized pipes which were causing moderate water pressure loss.
Got a few quotes, but understood also that they had any financing choices as well with al the upgrades, as we looked at a funds and that Repipe technical in this job we wanted to do within our 100+ year dwelling.
No water pressure problems.
Minimal disruption. No surprises and workman. Would use them again. Happy with the job.
Copper repipe done within our old home went smoothly and the plaster group was fantastic.
Great all in upfront and service explanations. There weren't any surprises for us. There were a few items that required rework, and they were quick to schedule a follow up fix at no cost.
