Thank you!
It is not merely the coming of the workers, or the kind way, or the professionalism, but the QUALITY OF THE WORK Albert Nahman Plumbing craftspeople do that makes me call them back again and again. Thank you for cleaning up so after the occupation and installing a new kitchen faucet. My daughter is happy!
I feel heard, suitably stored in the loop via text about once the plumber is coming along with his name, truly cared for by workplace personnel who want to be sure I choose the right faucet for your work so call me back with great advice for what to look for, and so delighted that Albert Nahman supports community causes which help our whole city... like Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals who help those who've fallen through the healthcare fractures by pairing benefit recipients with Doctors, Dentists, and Optometrists who provide care at no cost.
Absolutely don't use.
I've tried them now - first for a plumbing project that was very simple to support my furnace. For the plumbing the two minutes that were spent my countertop waste pipe was obstructed but they determined they had to fix the waste disposable for some reason. . Why didn't I make them replace it? God no. The filter did change, then abandoned their garbage simply lying in my basement for me to cleanup later.
Do not, under any conditions, use these folks for anything! Cowboys and also a ripoff.
45 seconds.
... ON TOP OF the $69 fee to emerge.
I get that I am paying just a tiny bit longer of'Berkeley tax' (in that every service is a bit more expensive on its own because the bay isn't only generally pricey ) but that is disgusting.
Out them since water was coming out of my sink when I ran my own dishwasher and believed I had a clean outside, and since my garbage disposal wasn't working. $69 commission to emerge.
Charge: $90.
They came out, the scheduling process was efficient and good, they came over the 2 hour window.
Complete ripoff.
He also fixed the garbage disposal in about 15 seconds (that I was not turning the alan wrench far enough to clean it). Then another 30 seconds to fish outside a twist that had gotten into the disposal that was causing a racket. He told me that the dishwasher should not cause the sink to float again.
Came out really last minute for an emergency pipe problem from the basement. Simple to program and they made it a priority to come out another day the next day to diagnose to repair. Install and re-route and the technology Rafael Yanez came out to remove the piping a brand-new system, as well as explain what the problem was. Tested while he was here along with the pipe was material and a much better install job than the original pipe. He made sure everything was 100% working and tested before leaving and was very professional. Pricing somewhat on the higher side, but you pay for quality and overall ease of understanding it wont break again.
I'll agree with other reviewer's here although this provider is reliable, has accessibility when you want it, but is overpriced. I adored the job that was done and valued. We got. I was also relieved to get someone on the end of a phone who could talk to me and program appointment. The workman, Mario, was entirely professional and well mannered. Respectful and wash. Did his job efficiently and quickly. Also if there weren't any issues, I waited to see whether the leaking had ceased, and saw he was patient, to make sure. . However, $800 for one hour work looks incongruous.
The one thing I can guess is as it was too little, that they didn't want the job. But hey, just tell me up front and save us both the hassle.
Took forever to get a quote to be provided by them after visiting my house. Guy took a few photos with his phone (change out the kitchen faucet, replace little wall mounted corner bathroom sink, I needed all the components ). After multiple calls the man said 2500 bucks and that came out called back. I nearly dropped the phone. I've completed a good deal of home renovations with and with out tradesmen and contractors and this amount was out there. I had another ensemble do the work and they had it all done in half a day for $600 ($160/hour rate).
So I went into the Berkeley Tools Lending Library, checked out a snake and goggles for FREE, and did it myself in under one hour (including watching the 8-minute how-to security video online)!
When I pressed, they quoted me $654 to snake the main line with an available clean-out, including a video review, whereas other technicians lent me $300.
Albert Nahman claims to offer"competitive pricing" and charges $69 just to come out and provide a quote, by which time you have already sunk cash so that you're at risk of falling due to their exorbitant prices.
Moral of the story: if you have a clogged sewer line (particularly if you're a woman, ripe for getting ripped off by plumbers), save several hundred dollars and times bargaining with busy plumbers, and do it yourself!
I began shopping around for taps, recalling that he'd cautioned me not to get a cheap one - and kitchen faucets can run $500 to $1,200. I found one I liked, and I wanted to conduct it to make sure it'd work before buying. I phoned Sal to be reached by Albert Nahman, asking them to have him call me. No call-back from him for a week or so, so I phoned back and asked for the same thing. He never called me.
The second plumber, and also oh could not find any leak. Did Sal actually show me a photo he took at another home to convince me I had a leak when I didn't, to conduct an even greater bill for me up? I will never understand, because Albert Nahman and he disregarded me my following up with them to try and get in contact. All I know is that they were attempting to charge me $1,000+ to"possibly" resolve a problem that a different plumber finally repaired in 5 minutes from twisting a knob to the right.
So I phoned a different plumber, Meanwhile, I grew impatient. He walked down into the basement, twisted a knob slightly in one direction of my building, and it solved the problem! It's not necessary to make a second appointment - he diagnosed the problem AND solved it in one fell swoop, and the whole visit was only $130.
Obviously, I will not be working with them again--and I'm so thankful I didn't allow them scam me.
Had a problem with my kitchen sink - that the water came out and might never get hot - and so Sal from Albert Nahman came over to try to diagnose the problem. He explained he wasn't sure what the problem was that I must substitute for the kitchen faucet, replace a valve under the sinkand... there was a slight leak down there also (he seemingly took a pic with his phone and then showed me). This all would've been 1,000+ of work. I paid approximately $75 only for that"diagnosis," even though it looked like more of a suspect than a certain identification. Hmmm.
Great service but overpriced in comparison to Stores that are smaller Also service and warranty
Wished I had used this company The other company didn't check their work and caused my lack of confidence, in addition to some unecessary return visits in them. I think the price was fair and their work was We've got a winner!!!!
Excellent service. The lovely woman who answers and schedules telephones is very organized, and smart, courteous. The service telephone tech gave me a quote answered all my questions in detail, and promptly scheduled a team to come out. The pipes were on hardworking, friendly, educated, thoughtful, and time. They worked nonstop till 8 pm to put in my brand new hot water heater before leaving, every stray piece cleaned up. The building inspector commented on what a installation job it was and approved the job. Thank you, and I appreciate everyone's hard work. A business is made by employees such as these trustworthy.
I managed to fix the pilot in about 1hr: I needed to do was to bend the cable of the electric lighter slightly, so the spark crossed the pilot's gas leak.
Our experience together with Nahman Services was bothersome. Because of brief interruption of the gas distribution line of our house, our water boiler's pilot flame went out and couldn't be lit. We called Nahman Services. Since everything because the burner worked up until the gas shut-off, we communicated to the plumber that the problem has to be minor, and confined to the pilot. However, after a quick check of the heat coupler (which couldn't have been broken) the plumber determined he can't do anything except for replacing the entire* water heater, for $3000. Shocked about the purchase price tag we said , but were charged $200.
Called a demanding to be replaced by Albert Nahman in. Gave them my name and address and a description of the problem. Then suddenly the lady I talked to told me opps, the dispatch system"suddenly went down" that is nice in itself, however she said she'd call me back 1 way or the other to give me a quote. I never received a call four days afterwards.
So tonight it's very hot so I put it on and it is hot.
Needless to say, I believe this man screwed it up! After I locate a person to tell me exactly what he did I'll find a lawyer.
He stated my filter switched to the HVAC and took photos. I didn't request anything but to just look it over. Then I gave me a quote for $ 9,000 and obtained an estimate. I understood this was some kind of scam so I never responded to this quote that was outrageous. Never had an issue.
Some air is coming through the vents but it is not cool. Hmm. As it's close to my bedroom window I listen to the hum of the HVAC and I do not hear a thing!
I seemed on Next Door and I read is exactly what a rip off they are.
Called to get a check up on my 4 year-old HVAC. Man came over and proceeded on and on about how he watched rust on my pipes that were big and I'd want all these new things be certain my HVAC would continue and to make it better.
One star because at least they attempted to salvage the circumstance. Zero star for elevation your job qualifty, pricing and management.
With this kind of shitty company, I was billed at least three days of the rate. Their management was quite slow for me a quote. And that I had a new born in precisely the exact same period of time. So when they eventually gave a quote to me. I have no time to go get quote. If their job was quality, I'd not had been angry. But I got billed for $6000 and was given $2000 worth of job.
For another water heater, even though I've worried multiple times that we must ensure everything meets with code. He found problems when the inspector came!
I was dead wrong. They even took the way resulting in hazzard. They used spray paint which didn't fit the colour of my wall to paint PVC pipe. The finish was a disaster! And I also seriously doubt these guys' qualifications. For one of my water heater. The pilot light could not light . They announced that it's dead! They stick into the compartment without succes and broke the glass window that was tiny. After they gave up. They explained that it's dead and they job has been done! Seriously? I went to attempted it myself. I managed to light up it with two attempts. I think they might have forgotten to turn on the gas valve. To say that I was angry was an understatement.
If you're an individual or a business. STAY AWAY from this provider! Then go ahead, if you're a major corporation that does not care about quality and price of work. Oh, coping with them is super irritating it can be a full time job itself.
I had to make sure my water replacements will pass code review. I believed the city principles were known by this company . And I expected great quality and reasonable pricing of work.
Hope my two cents helps.
My water heater was not working. I had been told it'd be a free estimate. Stated I need a heater. I asked him whether it was a problem with the wire, since PG&E explained it may be the problem. PG&E came out three times to try to light the pilot light.
The guy from A. Nahman Plumbing said I could find the wires fixed for $150 but it would not work and I'd just be fixing it over and over for $150 every time. I did not like the way. Then he found out and phoned the office it was supposed to be liberated. When I asked for a breakdown he got emotional again and impatient when I asked for the price minus the $50 coupon. He said it'd cost $2485 that is crazy to me. I am blessed I've a friend who read the reviews here and told me it was a ripoff.
I called to get a bid and they showed up on time gave a fantastic bid with bargains that I will use them for stage 1 of my laundry room remodel. I would give 5 stars but the work has been done by them yet.
We had been given an appointment window of two hours through a workday. It is difficult from me personally to take some time off from work, as is the case for most working people, and also what gathered personal time that I have I don't like to have wasted.
At the close of the window that the company was a no show. I wouldn't be making it called to ask for an ETA and was told that the tech called in sick could come tomorrow. That is a workday.
Folks get sick, I know. Not communication it is unprofessional. The company didn't call to let me know they wouldn't show is frustrating and feels disrespectful of my time.
Rates are astronomically inflated, do yourself a favor and get 3 bids!!!! I had no issue with the proficiency of the workers, they were specialist. The prices charged appear to be gouging!
This location overcharges. Got estimated around $712 to substitute garbage disposal. I found a place to do it more economical. Too pricey!
