Mike is the man if you are in need of a plumber. He is friendly, professional, timely, does work that is great and costs are fair.
My kitchen faucet was replaced by mike and cave strapped my water heater.

Here is the second time I have used Mike for pipes services (first time for simple job - leaking sink in which he moved out to purchase a new kitchen faucet and installed in no time) and he's completed both tasks perfectly. He does excellent work that is great and has great experience. I suggest calling CalPlumbing aka Mike, for all your plumbing needs.
Mike finished replacing my corroded 75 gallon water heater tank with a fresh great looking tankless water heater. Took him one day that was complete to put in and I have working water in my home! Less space needed in garage and lower energy bills. I have done a comparison of replacing with a tank unit and for approximately a couple thousand more, moving tankless is the way to go since the unit will also last longer.

So I will be on the lookout for a plumber who returns 19, in any case he never called me back.
I'm not sure what he meant by"he would'google' me" but my only guess is that he would check my location on Google Maps to see where my home was, but it was a strange turn of phrase.
I phoned him to see if he could help with a rain spout within my residence. He took down my name, address, and phone number and stated that he could"google" me and call me back later that day to let me know if he could take action.

I recommend him and use him again.
Mike was fantastic. He was quite receptive followed up with obtaining my landlord came after he said he'd and fixed not only my bathroom and shower, but among my bathroom lights as well.

Mike is the best. He was very considerate, friendly and most importantly he fixed my waterheater flow quickly. Nobody wanted to take the opportunity to come outside and I am rather glad Mike did. He had been kind enough to come out realizing it would be a job that is small. Really professional. He answers the phone! Amazing! I believe I have finally discovered a plumber that is brand new. Thanks mike!!

Mike is thorough and would like to do work that is good. He does a quality job, on-time, also was responsive. Only wish is that he would take cc.

Our water heater had been broken for 5 days (long story not worth getting into). We called, Mike fixed it and went out of the way to squeeze us into his entire schedule for the day. What's not to like about that!
We were billed $180 for travel time and a half hour fix. We didn't shop around, therefore we do not know whether that's a good price or not.

If my water heater busted one nightI looked plumbers on Yelp (but didn't actually like my choices -- none of these answered the phone). I recalled the Chron rated companies, so I checked sfgate.com/checkbook and found CalPlumbing. I called Mike and he answered the phone (after 6pm!) So he got the job. He took outside the water heater and showed up the following morning and set the one in. He also did a excellent job and was nice the entire time. I'm maintaining his number from my phone for any plumbing issues I have. Good man.

Top 3 Reasons Why I Chose CalPlumbing1) Someone really answered the phone Once I called
3) Quotation over the phone was accurate according to what I needed

With all that said, plus the fact that Mike was personable and very pleasant is really a big plus in my book. I like he quoted needed a set speed not an hourly fee and reasonably. A 10% reduction was given by him as a client. And he cleaned up after he finished installing the faucet at the guest bathroom. I really couldn't be happier and I am very glad I chose CalPlumbing. Like the other reviews say, it's nice knowing that you've got good plumbing business.
2) There was no pressure to schedule an appointment

We predicted Mike and Sunday said he would come out the following morning. And HE REALLY DID! And so you block your day off to wait...
Need I say: Very Highly Suggested.
After years of managing contractors and service professionals who don't do what they say, if they say it (and for how much they estimate), we were advocated a really responsive, timely, and friendly plumbing firm, CalPlumbing.
After a disastrous weekend at which our"trusty" (maybe just rusty) only 2 year old bad-insurance-company-recommended water heater started leaking all over our carpeted utility space and the initial plumber who installed it disregarded two phone calls along with a page, CalPlumbing's Mike came into the rescue.
Well what fortune!
This was all for a reasonable price and also a painless experience to boot. Compared to our unhappy experience with another plumber and First American Home Buyer's"Protection" http://www.yelp.com/biz/first-american-home-buyers-protection-van-nuys#h..., we couldn't be happier.
You never realize what something like hot water means to you until you don't have it, and CalPlumbing made certain that this was a period as possible.
Well he did everything he promised; came early, assessed the issue, advocated and obtained the water heater, installed it and then we had warm water. Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle how often does this happen? :-RRB-

Mike is conscientious. He cares about doing things . After conducting a new petrol line, he indicated that a fix before the HVAC guy came, and noticed the exhaust of my furnace was broken. When installing a drain vent running to the roof, he noticed some cracks in the tar around another vent, and not just told me about it, but went to the hardware store to buy the patching compound and went back up to my roof to fix it himself in no charge.
Mike is my new plumber. We are doing a remodel of our garage space, and he rerouted some pipes, tucked others to the drywall, ran new drainage, water, and petrol to an upstairs closet for a new laundry room, and replaced a cast-iron drainage pipe which had rotted away. A water line ran with an extension for irrigation, for its garden spigot. A job he finished by himself in two days, in a price that was thousands less than another estimate.
I trust Mike and can use him for most of my future plumbing jobs. You should also.

Mike is great! He answered my calls, helped me trouble shoot matters before he came to make sure the task could be completed by him on his trip. He charged a reasonable price, got the task and showed in his time pub. The thing is the sink I was having issues with is over 100 yrs old, an antique from Austria. It was an incredible Craigslist discover that I have fallen in love with. It is rare because it is so easy to break it! He worked together to ensure it's security and was careful. He left behind the rod we had to keep it secure during his work to the next time that it requires work. I will definitely use Mike again (although I hope I do not have to!)

Unintended flaws can occur by any expert, warranties are very short and because hardware products as plumbing parts are being made with cheap labour. But there is a problem repaired defines a meticulous contractor.
It is time to retract my final YELP negative test concerning Cal Plumbing for the following reason(s): Mike, the proprietor, lately demonstrated concern and conscientious attention to a retired, limited income elderly customer, my mom about a job which revealed problems months after. Timid old mum, my very small assumed there was nothing she could do except to rescue her monies again to reexamine the whole task that was same for a third time. But Mike recently revealed he did care to regain and sustain our previous years trust and confidence by offering to fix the problem. In my book of professionalism, one of two main traits of a trustworthy small business owner and builder is capability and their willingness to keep goodwill, client relations that are conscientious. And Mike did reveal that this . We're happy.

Mike at Cal Plumbing is everything you might want in a tradesman. He returns calls, provides quotes, is timely and punctual and being in Pacifica, he is local. He arrived after taking a look at a straightforward install of frig, disposer, dishwasher and sink hook up recommended, gave a quote to me. It ended up being a great deal less than another estimate I got. He arrived out did as promised with no problems and was a pleasant, diligent employee & clean. Hooked up the gasoline stove as well. While people do exactly what they promise and perhaps a bit more it has become sort of rare these days. Cal Plumbing delivers.

CalPlumbing definitely earned my trust now, and that I know who to call again the next time step-grandma calls with a flooded (insert potential house zone )!
And so I did, and I am. I phoned around plumbers who could not come on short notice, or a lot of the best rated and either got voicemails without. Eventually, I attempted Cal Plumbing, and got right through to Mike who was able to stop by my grandmother's house and find the origin of the basement escape almost immediately.
Mike did not charge a dime for the visit and ended up speaking her as it was a boiler difficulty and not a plumbing problem.
"Oh Nickie, my last plumber has been so so bad! I need your aid, Nickie. Please find me a plumber! You are such a fantastic good granson, Nickie."
My step-grandmother called with a pressing problem now: water has been flooding the basement of her San Francisco home ! I told her an official plumber will be the way to go in, since a basement is about the last place I wish to visit search for a mysterious water escape.

I Provide"Five Stars" into Mike Barbieri. J. Venti
Because I had been expecting the beginning of a big project the following day he actually saved the day. That job required the usage of my sink faucet. Mike repaired my faucet and came. He's a no nonsense plumber that concentrates to be done and does a fantastic job! Kudos to Mike.

Mike is GREAT!!! I had a plumbing leak in my master bedroom bathroom. Yelp reviews were based on by called Mike. He left a appointment date/time that was set and then showed up immediately when he said he'd. Very honest and fair, just an all around great guy - and fully fixed the problem quickly. Perfect. He gave me a refrigerator magnet with his company name/phone number - that today definitely resides on my refrigerator. He is my guy for plumbing going!

For example, yesterdayour water heater exploded.
He also fixed the nickname on our gate, which was screwed up by someone backing into it while he was at it. Clearly this made his life more easy but he could have just as easily been an ass about it like most people are.
Within 24 hours we had a brand-new non-exploding water heater, and it just cost a little more than his fast quote (since the preceding water heater was installed by a nincompoop and so he needed to redo the earthquake bracing and a number of the duct work).
I reside in an condominium and'm the treasurer of the HOA. Of course, if something occurs, it comes down to me to observe that something is amiss and treat it.
One of the board members needed a favorite plumber for coping with this material, but he never impressed me (and has just 1.5 celebrities on Yelp anyhow ), and so instead I went to Yelp and looked at all of the lists for"emergency pipes" and went down the list until someone actually answered their phone. Mike at CalPlumbing answered his phoneand he was friendly and helpful and fair and was prepared to give a non-binding quote and made the opportunity to make us a priority for the following moment.

This is THE plumber, not A plumber, however THE plumber!
I guarantee you will not be let down if you prefer your plumber try Cal-Plumbing. In case you have never had a good plumber you've got one and. . .well... It is possible to send the flowers and chocolates to my home address:-)
Rating = 15 STARS - one for each year! Having used a plumber this lengthy and for each condition imaginable, I could tell you Mike NEVER did anything wrong, over billed, was disagreeable - he ALWAYS showed up on time and promptly for emergencies, answered his phone and made me look good to each referral.
