My bathroom needed fixing - running or creating a noise when flushed. Not cool. Reached out to a number of companies - only DC Handyman called me . And thank!
After the job was completed to confirm my satisfaction and confirm final price, chastity followed up with me. In the end of it all, I was charged $250 for an hour of work, and my bathroom is fixed! I'm thrilled, and I will definitely keep this company on file for my repair job.
First of, Chastity runs their desk. Whatever they are paying her, they ought to pay more. This summer, having dealt with several home repair problems, I've called specialty repair shops, and none of them have someone as centric as Chastity. She gave me confidence in the company. The quote was I was expecting ($425 for 2 hours of work), but Chastity managed to describe costs and expectations so well I decided to only have faith. You get what you pay for?
I met Avishay along with his crew. They thought the issue would be fixed by a replacement of this tank hardware and took a look at my bathroom. As can't be eliminated except when they attempted to remove the parts, it turns out this specific bathroom is an all-or-nothing type. It was looking like my only option was a complete replacement of the bathroom. Yikes! Avishay continued to function on the part, although I was busy exploring how much does a bathroom price that is brand new. He figured out how to open the part and attempted a variety of fixes (cleanup, tightening, etc) to get it to operate. After about 40 minutes of work - it did! He managed to take bathroom that is specialized and my really finicky and work some magic. I'd expect the ordinary repairman could have said it was not worth it, and advised me to only get a brand new one. However, Avishay was decided, and I am grateful.

What was impressive was the level of communication throughout. Chasity was excellent at confirming and updating arrival times. The process was seamless and if we need handyman work done we give them a phone.
Miguel did some work in our bathroom installing a medicine cabinet, and hanging towel bars, a toilet paper holder. Work was done well and efficiently.

These guys are great! They were clean, friendly, on time and was really well done. Chasity and Miguel were accommodating to all my orders and I felt as though that the costs were reasonable.

DC Handyman only did a ton of painting at my bookstore that is nonprofit. . .and it looks AMAZING! Fantastic staff, excellent pricing. Along with painting the ceilings, they did our crown molding and fixed all the many many openings and cracks. Our shop is gorgeous and SPARKLING!

We asked the company to recoat a porch roof that was leaking, and they used the material -- distinct from what was discussed -- and they then did such a bad job we had to recoat the roof correctly and that the escapes continued.
Our review of the business was highly complimentary. Sad to sayfurther experiences proved to be very much a mixed bag, and I rather enjoy the business owner (who does the estimating) and a few of the workers whom we have met, I believe I have an obligation to other Yelp users to be blunt.
On the flip side, redoing the timber floor in an entire apartment turned out less well - though we had asked for laying down a clear coating, revealing the wonderful colour of the timber, for some reason the workman who had done a fantastic job on a previous floor sanding project used blot on part of the ground, perhaps permanently changing the colour of the ground. In addition, the floor was somewhat tough, as if the sawdust in the sanding hadn't been satisfactorily swept up or vacuumed; the outcome is that the floor will be more difficult to wash. And a few of the blot was splashed on the lower part of the apartment walls which had been repainted. To its credit, the business came back to wash up the blot; it offered to redo the ground, before our new tenants were assumed to move in, but by that time it had been late.
So we may call this company again, but with serious reservations concerning the breadth of solutions they could provide. Because our encounters were promising, it's too bad.
We had them do some very typical handyman tasks reglazing a bathtub and between carpentry, tile work, and that work was done very well.

I hired DC Handyman for a few work in my condominium - and they did a great job. It was very easy to communicate with Chasity, and she shipped Miguel who did work . He and a different aide - that they were a group of 2 - were friendly, efficient, and left the job site as clean (or cleaner! ) ) Than they found it. Billing was straightforward and easy. I'll keep them in mind for any future projects and would happily recommend them to others.

We were happy and I am sure we'll use DC Handyman again. We needed to extend a pad which sat beneath our older stacked washer and drier -- and get the business done before the new, larger washer and dryer came. We achieved to DC Handyman dependent on the strength of its Yelp testimonials and were happy to discover our seasoned others. Everyone we worked with was professional and friendly: by communication and logistics together with Chasity, into estimate and the visit from Israel build with his staff and Miguel. Even billing happened through a clear and easy payment method. The level of company here is far above par.
This job was a little odd, but equally Israel and Miguel quickly had ideas on how best to approach it. Not merely did the estimate came under their opponents in several hundred, but the team had teamwork and knocked out a occupation. Chasity followed to check how everything had gone. Through the encounter, it felt just like the company was working to make easy everything in this industry that usually feels difficult. As time goes on, I am grateful knowing they're running a business.

Absolutely nailed the work request (no pun intended). It was really simple to operate who efficiently was she was an planner and made structures! Team and miguel arrived and handled each task. The guys were considerate of land did a fantastic job with a number of household tasks that I needed done to help install in my home and whilst working. Service and well suggested!

Dc handyman is my go to for anything I need done around the home. From painting to drywall, they're always fantastic. Chasity, their office manager is friendly and a pleasure to use! Call them! You will not regret it!

We used DC Handyman for some, and we were very delighted. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get a quote and schedule an appointment, and how fast Simeon managed to come outside to do the work.

I think many of the good reviews here asked this company to do a very simple thing: hang a shelf, fix a doorway, etc.. They may be OK if you require something VERY simple, if you can but I'd still avoid working with them.
But of conducting business with 10, the most frustrating part was that they failed to take responsibility. For instance, they stated the project would take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks ago and almost nothing has been done I called Israel. He said the project was slow because I was difficult to get a grasp of (I went for 5 times ). That week my husband and he had met IN PERSON and that I had called the office double. When I pointed out that to him and noted that I was home now prepared to meet anytime, he made up another reason. Matters are occasionally late. It's ok. Why don't you just take responsibility and move forward? Why blame the client?
Save yourself weeks of frustration and find a company that is better.
Another instance: furniture will be covered by Most contractors or move outside if they will cut wood with an electric saw that your home is not covered in sawdust. Not these men. The employees cut on a whole lot of timber in our garagewhere we had put lots of our photographs and furnitureand never covered anything our material was COVERED in dust. OK- everybody makes mistakes. Not a massive thing. I sent a photo of this mess. But I didn't get an offer or an apology to fix the mess. In fact, they never replied.
Prevent this business. I experienced of the headaches you hear about contractors with DC Handyman. . .and so, so much more. Even their receptionist/assistant said , after the project had hit many lumps and was over a month late,"I don't know what is happening. I just don't know what to say..."
Not only did they just take 9 weeks to complete a 2 week project, however they made multiple mistakes in dimensions that caused huge delays and wasted time, but didn't know where to find quality materials, came late, often didn't come at all, installed doors and then promised to replace them and then never did, didn't complete parts of the project they'd dedicated to, billed us $500 for items Israel verbally dedicated to"throw in", had horrible communication (we told Israel in writing we desired a closet one way. He told his employees who did it the opposite way and then had to ruin and update all of that work), etc..

I hired DC Handyman last month to replace and paint water-damaged wood on my porch's columns. They did an excellent job replacing the wood. I hired Rolando, Alex and Miguel drill and replace and paint wood on the front of home, redo grout on my front porch and walkway, and again to substitute cement in large cracks. They were pleasant, responsive to suggestions and queries, and professional. I recommend them highly!

It really sucks because I have a dog and I need to let her in and out of the house always with my fenced-in backyard it's much more convenient than having to walk her time.

I called several locations to try and have it fixed. Most people we booked or wanted to charge me a lot for something that I thought was simple but at the time I could not do myself.
All of the way would not be opened by my sliding glass door at the rear of my house . I tried to fix it but I just couldn't.
I thought I needed to have a new door but I got a telephone call from Ashley DC handyman and she was a joy to speak with. The handyman was sent by her out he and it opens and shuts as if it was brand new. It opens and shuts better than it did before.

About a week ago I had asked for a quotation estimate to fix my flooring from this corporation. Once I got the answer that they desired to come and have a better look at exactly what work provided a flat cost which was a price to me and I needed to be done so that they came to my house. So I advised the repairs with them that they came out as scheduled on a fantastic price and time. They fixed my flooring it looks brand new.

We asked DC Handyman to eliminate the textured ceilings at our new house. Our first contact was Chasity, the secretary. She's very friendly, responsive and helpful. They delivered us Miguel and his staff, Ronaldo, Alex and Jamiro. Miguel was very fine, super reachable, answered all of our questions (he even participate in a conference call with my in-laws to describe some of the issues of this job ), also kept us always informed about the development of the project. The project was challenging because we were just able after we had moved in, to start it. The group made all attempts to reduce the disturbances to our day life. That meant, for example, daily, from the end of the day, cleaning up all the place they were working on - wash the floor with a wet cloth, remove all plastic which was covering the furniture, and move some furniture - so we can use that place throughout the day. The people who spent more time at the project were Ronaldo and Alex. They were very friendly and with a cheer disposition. Ronaldo taught us some strategies and gave guidance to us to address issues we have with the house. I was impressed and I'd recommend them without any reservation!

Such guys that are great. So friendly, professional and prompt. Very superior and services work. The owner is one of the most friendly people you will have come in contact with on your life and he works around your schedule to have the work. I had console and a television mounted and he got it scheduled within days and I am very happy with the outcomes. I would strongly recommend using these guys for all your handyman needs!

I intend to use DC Handyman again.
They were very adaptable as the needs of the project changed and did not even charge me extra. In addition to the project they were easy to communicate with. They have a individual that answers the telephone and coordinates times and pricing with you. This was refreshing in contrast to other companies that I've worked with.
When the wall has been torn open and the exterminator had have a look, it became clear the bark got in a different manner. DC Handyman put in brand new drywall and repainted (looks better now than it did until they opened it), and even addressed the other point of entry which the exterminator had identified.
I had a terrific experience with DC Handyman. I phoned in which I had been using a rodent matter them to rip open a wall at my row house. They gave me a fair quote and even coordinated with the exterminator.

Called to have a wall and a coat rack reattached where it had ripped out a few drywall. Couldn't believe how quickly they could come to my home 40 minutes after I predicted. Their price was fair and repair job was strong.
