Matt Schrader has been working on a project with my heating system with me. Matt is always patient, educated and a perfectionist with the work he plays! He is considerate and respectful of his clients property. And, he also happens to be a considerate and very nice person. It's always a joy to own Matt in my house and I'm completely confident with his recommendations. He is a credit to Doctor Fix-It! Thank you Matt.
How do these companies remain in business?! They're horrible.
Don't hire this business!! Had them out stopped workingout. The guy that came which I would describe as a salesman, should just be 75 and explained we had a new water heater along with a new pressure valve since our stress was 110. He quoted over 4K to me but offered a discount. I didn't know and said okay.
Luckily!!! I called my dad and he was livid. He explained that the water heater should just be 400-500 and the job should never be $3500. I called another independent firm that came and did all of the job of the price this company quoted me. They also found I didn't need a pressure valve. Our stress was 70 and perfect.
Before finishing the job along with the required license and testimonials they demented a payment!
Don't do it. And if you called them be sure before you agree to anything to have a second opinion.
Seniors beware! My buddy and I both have used Dr Fix It with good fortune, however, now I referred my mom to them who's a senior. They would not tell the cost to install a bathroom over the phone to her, so that she had them come out and they wanted to charge well over $500. When Home Depot can take action one for $149, that is absolutely outrageous. She then had to pay a trip fee. They will need to learn to have the ability to quote a price, even if it's only a ballpark estimate over the phone or not charge a trip fee. Installing a bathroom isn't so difficult to what it would cost, and they should know precisely or pretty close. In any event it looks like they wanted to make the most of a citizen. They have lost my business and my pals.
Terrible company. Do not use them. I have. They came out and said they'd tide all the travel charges, etc.. They charged them $1000 to substitute their garbage disposal. Shameful and opportunistic. Please, get a 2nd quote before using those crooks.
I had been driving on I76, and saw this truck. Thought to myself I should call them for a quote in my basement, under a minute after he Cuts across 3 lanes to cut me off in my semi, then slows down and cuts across the lanes again to the other side to get onto 85. If people cut off without a thought, what could they do to your own house.
Avoid them. Scheduled an appointment to repair a leaking faucet. Their tech Jose Camacho visited with the house and left a message asking me to phone him back. Left him to several messages and texts over three days. Never received a response. Never did. Two days later called the main office. The business stated that because my house was a property, they weren't able to work on it. It's not a property.
I tend to get a hard time trusting their own recommendations while their employees are professional and friendly. I believe they try to make things in your house seem in worse shape to be able to upsell you on new things and labour than they are. For example, if my heater was inspected by them and vents, they stated the heater was overworked, the ventilation was wrong and the heater motor will probably fail and need replacing. They quoted about $2000 for labour and parts. We got another opinion from another firm that stated the heater engine was completely fine and also the vents just needed a thorough cleaning.
Another employee of theirs attempted to sell us on a 6000 water heater which we cannot possibly afford. They may do great work but I believe they out there pitching goods that individuals may not need.
Well I had a leaky faucet at the basement bathtub so I expected to pay a few hundred dollars and I have an off brand nicer type of faucet. My estimate was when they had to replace the whole faucet because they could not locate a part That it would be like $1400 and $459. I received a referral by a friend because it seemed the man was able to fix it in 20 minutes with Dark washer type deals and a few springs. $100 and done. Do not use a large company
