Both Andrew and Alex did a good job and we're delighted with their services. I would recommend DRF .
This past July I got water heater replacement support through Home Depot from DRF. The price was perfect.
Ty from Bartlett
Fast forward 4 years. Fortunately although the tankless heater developed a leak the unit has. Additionally I'd bought a service package which extends DRF's labor warranty to match the company's parts warranty. (Good thing because as of today DRF costs $250 for a service telephone alone.)
A tankless water heater was bought by me from DRF. I recall there was a issue with the installers making it into my house (truck broke down) and the appointment afternoon needed to be changed. (This, once I wasted the dawn awaiting them) It went with them removing the old water heater and installing a hot water filter to the tankless and the tankless If it was installed by them. DRF handled getting the license. The city inspector said they did a good job.
I called DRF and they scheduled a service appointment. They could not say what time they would arrive but would phone in the morning with an estimate. On the day of the appointment they called in 7:15 to say I had been first appointment of the day but they wouldn't depart until 8:30 and it would take them an hour to get to my location. The men found the flow and arrived at 9:30 and known as the manufacturer to arrange to get the part. The part was sent into DRF. I asked that when the part has been installed, the technician do the flush. So as to do this 45 minute flush, they need a special recirculating pump and hoses, so they call it a flush kit, and apparently they don't have this kit on each truck in order that they place a note in my document informing the technician to bring the flush kit when they install the part.
I got a telephone at 7:30 stating I was the day's appointment. He had been on the way and I got a telephone at 8:50 stating their appointment and would arrive in one hour. I got a telephone stating the truck broke down and he did not know so he went to obtain another technician, if this technician would return on the street. I reminded him that this technician would want a flush kit and the part the maker sent. He explained that if he did not have the components he could stop in the store. (???) . At 2:00 I called to discover as soon as the technician would arrive. I had been told he was on the way and to expect him 30 min.
The technicians arrived 30 minutes later, have been gone in one hour and set up the replacement section and completed the flush. Noe and the other tech have been professional and took the opportunity to show me the way to flush the tank on my own. It is because that I do not give celebrities to DRF.
At 11:30 they called to say the technician got hung up in his initial appointment but left . I reminded him that I needed to leave at 1 and asked again when the technician was ready to do the flush. The person I spoke to wrapped up. Apparently he explained he needed to say and has been completed what. I predicted back though because I wished to make sure they could install the part and do the trip. I just didn't want to deal with the hassles of having them return again. He said he would call the technician and let me know. He called back to say the technician did NOT have the flush kit but would be pleased to install the part and return another time to do the flush. I declined and said I would reschedule for a morning if they could do . He promised I would be the initial appointment the next day.
I given I needed to leave by 1 pm so there was a morning appointment required and left a service request. They assured me they would envision. At 7:20 I had been contacted on the morning of the appointment and told I had been the second appointment of the afternoon and the technician was aware I needed to leave by 1. I informed them I wanted the heater flushed and had been told it had been in the notes and they would make sure there was a flush kit around the truck.
Ok, right to the point. The connection for an installation quotation came from DRF.
Was it OUTRAGEOUS but totally insulting!
Not only has Home Depot lost my business, but once I've yet another water heater I am going to send that reception and the quote of DRF into the Illinois Department of Consumer Affairs and file a formal complaint. OBVIOUSLY not for me personally, but for the consumers that this contractor has taken to the cleaners. Virtually in the class action suit category. For the ones that were stiffed by DRF here is the web address. http://www.ag.state.il.us/consumers/index.html
That is water under the bridge at this point, although I expected more from Home Depot.
The quotation was $1800+ and they could not even guarantee that. This was for a 40 gallon water heater in my property. I will inform you that the average price of installing a water heater is WAY BELOW that sum. So $1800 minus the $600 water heater is 1200!!! He gave me every excuse from inflation into a shortage of pipes. What a lineup...
Review is based on not service and quote. For replacing a water heater, requested a quote. To begin with, whoever responded would not stop speaking - reassuring me that they were the very best, with the best quotes and solutions which after 3 minutes I began to get suspicious. I attempted to interrupt him, but no victory, he kept going and going and going about his or her greatness. Finally convinced him to send me a quote. Initial suggestion: a $4,400 buck equipment. Who wouldn't be concerned with such a high quote once the cost of installation and water heaters is around $1200. Anyway, he sent me a funding"favorable" quote using the cheapest option 30% more than marketplace. Just a heads up for other opinions before hiring them have some time when you call to listen to the blabla.
An Entire Bait and Switch operation. When they arrived to install, my wife was strong armed by them, and told her they needed for installing a valve and $200 more for hauling the water heater away. The valve can be bought at Home Depot for $14.00.
I bought a water heater and was quoted a price.
Classic Bait and Switch match.
My worries were not resolved by DRF as it attempted to alter my review.
I would NEVER use or recommend DRF or FLY Plumbing. EVER!
Plumbing can be simple if coping with professionals. I had a third union plumber. He just used a rodder (rodding through the section with origins ) and he cleared the drain of roots and sludge. Lesson learned.
I guess my recommendation for drf is to permit a schedule to be specify by the customers rather than not being able to give a direct answer on when they would arrive to me. It was a little more expensive then other technicians although not much and they'll work with you.
I again did a nice job considering how awful it was and had them come in to resolve the main water valve to the 17, the next week. They had to wait for a bit for the city to come and turn the water off but after they did the got the job done very quickly. I had been the whole moment so that it wouldn't interrupt the family, the first stop that was very useful.
I had been concerned about the scheduling dealing with the city water drf, my work schedule, along with the tenants but it worked out.
My experience was great and staff and the service were accommodating and very friendly. I went through home depot and had a water heater installed.
What a waste of time I know their time is precious but so is mine. Guy arrived at the home and was here for the most left and took photos. Will provide you but come on evaluation something or do something .didnt even look at the drain nor did any water runs. What a waste of time and cash
We set up an appointment to have this company through Home Depot come out to her install a bathtub faucet. We paid $89 for the estimate. Myself along with the homeowner stayed home for this appointment. It was stated during the call that it is a home. The other was so restricted it seemed not saying much. This was really unusual. We needed to ask just to be informed that someone could call Monday. We predicted that same afternoon (Saturday) about 2 hours later only told by someone that the paper says they can't put in the new faucet since it is a mobile home. The woman stated they do work on homes before they transferred us into the guide, in asking a different person. It was so strange that the techs didn't know how to communicate. The lead guy we talked not wanted to refund the $89 since he said they'd been here. He still had no idea and seemed to not know how to find out, when asking what the problem was. He then says"do not quote me on this but it could be a liability issue." It's strange because he stated a bit prior that they work on homes. It seemed had no idea about installing a bathtub faucet. They'd have communicated, because when they were not contested. The direct individual this day when calling them said he would email mgmt. No telephone Monday and then Tuesday a woman calls and says that installing faucet is out of their scope. We had a company that was different out correlated with Home Depot along with the guy right away provided an estimate. To make it a 1 lever vs. the two he explained a little piping replacement was required for the shift but it wasn't any big deal. We have no idea why the company replies in not having the fix that we were frustrated , we did, with the business. The communication is awful and if they apologize about confusion? About what? Is this business perplexed? No one even referred to as the day they were after they decided they didn't wish to put in a faucet at the tub/shower. Reviews are not recommended by 300 on Yelp. Just 92 urge strange.
We phoned DRF to find a quote for a Home Depot water heater and have been offered $750 for the installment $200. We had been searching around and let them know that their competitors (Lowe's) billed a complete service install (for example delivery and haul off ) for $385. They LIED by claiming that Lowe's used unlicensed plumbers (not true) and also the DRF representative was very skeptical about giving direct answers to the cost quote on the telephone, making me quick back of the napkin math to figure out that they had been charging a delivery fee etc.. Would not recommend.
They finish destroyed carpet and my floors. Their solutions are extremely expensive, spent $600 for installation of water heater, so hoping it was a company and I wouldn't need to experience the nightmare that they put me . Contacted them a few times to get my floors back the way they were until the mess was made by them but they refused to accept responsibility and said they will simply send me a gift card. I did not accept their gift card and decided to warn others.
The service at this company has taken a major dive. I program my own irrigation turn on and pre-pay and turn off with them annually. My system had a major leak following the flip on, this year. They came back and mended and charged me. I scheduled the turn off and they didn't arrive and finish it to the date scheduled. I phoned numerous times to be assured I was next on the record. On a single call they claimed that the technician played and had really arrived the work. A whole lie. They assured me they would come by 10 am. They didn't. I wanted to speak with a supervisor, Olivia, who said they would reschedule for another day with me. Really I can waste?
A completely dreadful experience. Fixing and making me upgrade, because $1500 isn't sufficient to pay and have your own water heater installed... I had around code piping for the water and they replaced that. Then add an"extra" gas valve and an"extra" water shut of valve. Moving up the price . Complete tear off and will not ever use this company again and will tell everyone.
Was quoted $850 by DRF to send and install a $625 water heater from Home Depot. Had no other choice because DRF has exclusive use of Home Depot products at the Chicago marketplace and the rest of the outlets (Lowes, Menards, etc) were out of stock. The DRF plumber came on scene and instantly said we had to upgrade the installation bundle because he had to make minor alterations to the pipe links (which ought to be contained in a typical installation??) , so we ended up paying $1,100 in labor costs alone. You would save countless dollars going with anyone, if you can wait a couple weeks.
Quality of the project itself was nice just a price issue.
Beware of DRF Trusted Property Solutions. DRF is when you buy a water heater at Home Depot at least at the Chicago suburbs. I had a water heater installed with a labour fee of $520 in 2015. In 2016 we had a aluminum anode rod that DRF set in for $149. On Oct. 5, 2018, DRF installed a new aluminum anode rod due to the odor of the water, It now is $250, however, I managed to find a senior discount bringing the price to $200. I notice water I phoned the technician said anode rod was installed correctly and DRF and a person came out, I have a leak at the tank that is 3-year-old. Tank says GE, nevertheless, Rheem has obtained within the GE water tanks. DRF advised me to call Rheem about guarantee and they had questions so I phoned DRF back along with a supervisor called and we had and DRF should return into Rheem. I had a brand new tank no matter how the excessive installment pricing at DRF, no charge, no discount that this time was $620. By the way, $475 costs to put in a water heater. When I informed the customer service representative I was advised by them Lowe's doesn't utilize licensed plumbers, this isn't accurate and I have to assume she was instructed to say this. I will not use a water heater to be purchased by Home Depot so long as they're using DRF Trusted Property Solutions and Rheem's water heaters leave a great deal to be desired. Please beware of pricing.
I purchased a water heater through Home Depot and the work was contracted to DRF. My initial experience was convinced, as they said they would have the ability to set up that day (on a Saturday) and the quotation was like another one I had received. The water heater didn't get installed until Monday and consisted of visits, each with an additional charge that was unexpected. Once the water heater has been installed, the technician left the water in the unit was not functioning. They brought me an additional $177 find the water flowing and to return - they consequently charged me and said this was an unexpected problem. It took 2 days and my 1500 quote flipped into over $2,000. This is the water heater I have had installed in this unit and none of the work'demanded' by DRF was cited by pipes.
During Home Depot home Solutions My experience with Home Depot Home solutions was frustrating and costly. Home Depot uses DRF Trusted Property Solutions, who uses Fly Pluming. If a problem is with the work Would you see a issue? My expertise using a clog - 2ft from a PVC pipe accessibility plug, beside the basement sink was: 1. It took 2 billed visits with 2. Hours of rodding in the catch basin in the back yard 3. Fee for a camera that was not used and eventually (second visit), using a competent tech, who ignored the catch basin imminently and finished the job in 1 1/2 hours (by accessibility plug in PVC pipe), such as clean up. ($550 first trip for rodding from catch basin and not able to clear line). Home Depot agent took criticism, said to speak to DRF. DRF agent took criticism (X3), last one said that he was not a plumber also will assess with Fly ( I sent photos to them). Outcome, DRF couldn't do anything and offered $100 off invoice as courtesy.
What a joke. The water heater at Home Depot costs $500.00 They gave me a quote of $1384.00 to install it. The house is 1.9 miles from Home Depot. They wanted to charge $900.00 install it! I give them a 10 to be up front and honest in their outrageous charges. I give them a 1 for integrity!! and client support STAY AWAY!
I arrived home after being gone for about an hour to running water in our garage. This required me to close off the valve leaving memy spouse, and two month old without running water. We called several plumbers and we were unable to get anybody out until at least due to high demand this was on Saturday. Laurie got us Noe and Brendan for Saturday evening and worked her magic. They were able to fix the leak, and get our family to having water back. I would advise DRF to anybody needing job. Thank staff and you DRF.
Thank goodness for this particular company. My water heater was replaced by them moment. Shout out to Brian and Antuan . I was impressed to the company from my first call, to the ease of scheduling, all of the way through the replacement repair. They were very kind for my puppy which was above and beyond. Thanks again DRF - I highly suggest giving them a call!
