Look. Telephone Gateway. From top to bottom, you will find the best, professional job done with no hidden B.S. after the fact.
They didn't just put in a boiler and put in my steam boiler a few years ago. Header steam piping is a lost art. Not so with Gateway. They re-piped no longer banging pipes, the boiler and wow. My fuel bills have gone. When I showed up to determine how it was likely I was amazed by how awesome they operate. They tarped the ground! They skimmed the dirt and oils from the boiler before leaving and showed up to re skim it and only an overall check up, all included at work.
When my niece called me in a panic to recommend a plumbing & heating contractor to do work '' I said look no further than Gateway Plumbing & Heating. As scheduled, told her what needed to be achieved, showed up as advised to do the work and impressed her with their professionalism they showed up.

Gateway technician Strato worked in my weils mclain burner. He showed me the unit's state and tuned it up. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was Strato professional & talented at his job but he was fantastic to speak with. Really informative. The boiler is working thanks to Gateway and him. I will continue to use Gateway annually for any fixes or song up.

You know those companies that let you be home during a"window" and don't even bother showing up? This is one of those companies. Theytake zero obligation personally and'll cancel on you. Do yourself a favor and hire a different company, or go to night school and learn because it's going to be quicker than getting a reaction from them, plumbing yourself.

I discovered later and John his coworker Anthony. They saved me money, time and from complete embarrassment and came to my rescue. I received information and so much help. Their cost was very reasonable for the excellent service.
It was a disaster. I wasn't certain if the issue would ever get resolved.
As significant I felt like I was being helped by a buddy. Others are being echoed by me however I have to say I need businesses were like Gateway.
I recently purchased a TekMar thermostat for my eight unit coop from a rival of John.

These guys are the best would recommend without hesitation and do not look anyplace else 100% satisfied.

I called Gateway secretary on Saturday afternoon to get a leak in my kitchen fixed. She took down my info and said the plumber would get back to me when he had availability. Shortly, I believed.
A couple of weeks out. My sink is leaking. Unbelievable. I want the secretary had not wasted my time, although I really don't begrude them being occupied.
I phoned again, and a receptionist asked for my availability. I gave her today's and tomorrow's-- she replied"Oh, no, we're scheduling a couple weeks out."

Request John. He is one of the 2 spouses and knows his stuff like no one I have spoken to earlier.
These guys know steam heat. They came highly recommended from a man named Dan Holohan who writes novels on the subject and following the first consultation, you'll know why.

These guys were a pleasure. They were by having our heating system replaced with a new method that is efficient, amazing. Neat and done without any hassles. We are ready for this winter season and up. After a few emails and an estimate they delivered with quality work and won us over. Gateway was a fantastic choice and we'll be using them for our brownstone's forthcoming plumbing job... highly recommend.

They have a 24hour hotline, but no 24hour service and non of the agents bothered to explain that while I waited throughout the night for a plumber to phone me back. However, something magical happened when I posted this review over here, the owner of the company called me right away!! How amazing is that?! If u need instant attention post here. Fast fair. And no BS about the pricing . I have not used them for important work, just some emergency stuff (I've needed a corroded pipe or three), plus they are nice guys who make quick work out of it with no nonsense. I know that it should not be a huge deal, but they completely clean up and there is no indication of the mess that was there just hours before.

Everyone knows how hard it's to find a good plumbing and heating person. You need to be concerned about whether someone is going to do a good job and if they're going to treat you if you are not a specialist.
My boiler wasn't easy to fix due to the deteriorating conditions of the piping and the cramped area, and broke down. I had one man refuse to perform itothers quoted costs that made me wish to think about just starting a fire in the center of my apartment for heat. He not only As soon as John was contacted by me expressed a tremendous amount of concern for my situation, but he handled everything with kindness and such professionalism it felt more like a comparative coming over to help.

His men and john have come more occasions than I could count.
They have been used by me for routine service in addition to emergency support and these men are smart, considerate and a pleasure to work with, even during stressful circumstances. (And they are very forgiving of situational freakouts, to boot! ) )
I can't recommend them enough!
Somehow, plumbing problems constantly crop up in the worst times (right before the weekend, right before holiday, during vacation).

I feel old.
The work they did is top notch. John recommended I told me exactly what to buy and buy my supplies to save money. The estimate was spot on. And hello... the perform all the work in the Danny Meyer restaurants. I do too if Danny trusts them.
Truth be told I found Gateway Plumbing during Daily Candy... it may be the first time Daily Candy was useful for anything. Within 20 minutes that they had a person in my apartment. John showed up, diagnosed every one of the issues, fixed a couple of items and gave me a quote. Without even giving stress to me they obtained their insurance certifications and they showed up again to install everything on sans and time agita.
I am assessing a plumber.
It sucks that all the hair salons, plumbers and contractors on yelp seem to get shilled into the gills. Last Friday when my toilet exploded in a good shower of water, and it sucked even more difficult.

They reacted very fast and had a foreman (John?) On-site in made an evaluation of the issue and sent a repairman.
I'd recommend them!
Our toilet was leaking to some point where we did not know exactly what it was that was leaking... Through friends, and a few research on the internet, we found Gateway Plumbing.
It was a really positive experience since they reacted quickly, were really nice and everything was simple. Plus the issue was fixed by them!

Gateway pipes is top notch. You could say they're on the higher priced side of the plumber scale, but believing they do the work right the first time and are incredibly knowledgeable, I'd say the cost is fair (I'd rather not have to call someone back to repair something or have it survive only a brief quantity of time and then get charged again, that occurs often in the plumbing planet ). They're also always on call, especially crises and because I have a huge house, John will sometimes come without prompting and test things (thats nice within this century:-RRB-. Apart from working with the two owners, the different members of the group are friendly, professional and discreet (a big plus when working with high profile customers ). I would recommend to clients and friends.

I've not ever composed a Yelp review. No occupation that is small. He promised to return to me with an estimate. This was March 11. I sent a follow up email requesting to know if I would hear from 18, A week after. No reply. Two weeks after I called the office and had been advised by the woman who answered that I would find the estimate. No estimate. Fourteen days after I phoned again and was promised an estimate. No estimate. A week after that I followed up with an email to Dave. No reply. It's now April 22 and I just got a voicemail telling me that they went to pass at work. It required them SIX WEEKS to tell me that they weren't interested. Only giving you the facts.

We only called them to obtain an estimate for a little job -- installing a new garbage disposal (we've already bought the disposal) and faucet (ditto). Their quotation? $600, and a few $19 ridiculousness. Got to be kidding me. Another plumbing company quoted us $175, which seems a bit high but at least in the ballpark. Not sure what universe these guys are currently living in.

Sometimes I'm forced to have these men because I'm a tenant and don't get to choose whom to hire. The previous 3 occasions they did an in-house occupation, however, 2/3 times attempted to overcharge. No surprise fees, please! The last one who arrived (yes, we have a lot of plumbing troubles), once I called him some imaginary charge, I might actually see that he was trying to make something up to account for the extra charge. It became apparent when I called to complain it's a feature.

I had a good experience with Gateway. The guys came out fast and did a wonderful job with the pipes installation I had needed. Clean professional. What more can you request?
