Really excellent work! Would definitely use again! They came back to do the job and then came and gave an estimate. Explained service and everything.

I paid through the nose, used him after and won't ever call Star Cities.
Star Cities only has one plumber, that is Robert. His price quotes are the greatest and his inspections consistently result with replacing everything instead of correcting the problem he caused.

Robert has assisted with two pipes problems over the past month. He's very responsive with a pleasure and phone and text to work with. On one of the projects, a problem was resolved by him in the process saved the owner extra expenses and that the construction super said could not be achieved.
I've had poor experiences with plumbers and contractors. Who hasn't? People of us who don't return calls, state they have insurance but ends up they don't have insurance ...
With Robert, the required admin and insurance paperwork was provided expediently. We agreed on time and he showed up in time. Everything was smooth. Highly advised.

It was a flow. The hot water valve has been broken. That is all. These men tried to make it seem more complicated than it was. Told me they completely put in components that are brand new and had to smash the wall. Quoted me at $3150. .give me a rest. The free consultation is the trap they lay to get you to trust them...

The phone tree for all these people is labyrinthine and leads me to think this is a decentralized company that is just trying to milk money out of people. I imagine that some reviews of these are favorable, and others are not. I'd recommend you go with a company that is more forthcoming.
I checked a few plumbers regarding an issue. I selected these people, because they offered a free quote. I called repeatedly trying to make an appointment, also obtained nobody--and no one called me even though I left voicemails. I got in touch with them now and they were not available until Wednesday and had an additional $150 fee.

The morning of our appointment he showed up 20 minutes early, focused on finishing the job, got it done within the anticipated window (this included a quick run to Home Depot for supplies), and left the toilet looking tidy. Robert answered and was polite queries - I wouldn't hesitate to call him for all those endeavors. He had been kind enough to phone helpers to deliver the sink down the stairs of my walkup building while it was not contained in my quotation. Thanks for a job well done!
Robert is a professional that is real. After having a few emails my appointment has been place in advance to my initial voicemail within minutes and he responded. After coping with two other plumbers who don't return calls, show up late or not at all, etc., it was really refreshing to work with someone reliable.
He supplied a fair quote to switch a bathroom vanity sink with a new one I had purchased after taking a look at pictures of the pedestal I had installed and my plumbing. Note that his estimates are set to get a project including materials, not the typical time + stuff situation you visit with most contractors. He knows what he's doing and the transparency is a breath of fresh air.

Unreliable!!! Made telephone appointmes in advance an 9-10 and stayed home to await them. Started leaving messages 10 am to whether the plumber was coming... 15 telephone calls/messages/emails and 6 hours later I finally gave up. Never heard a word from them.

Their staff is friendly and they did a great job at a fair price!
Star Cities was great! Not only do they have the estimates, they are trustworthy really reliable, responsive, and professional. Robert led my toilet renovations and was fantastic. They made what could have been a stressful experience an easy one.

After they finished the bathroom, we discovered a problem with the warm water (not enough water pressure). I sent a text at night to Robert. He showed up the following day, replied, and also fixed the matter. Some detritus obtained at a pipe. I was very happy. Though the task was done and he'd been paid, he made sure to address the matter.
We're actually so impressed with all the work they were performing, we chose to ask them to demolish an old closet and build a brand new one, in addition to hang crown moulding around our flat. They gave a quote to us worked with our budget. The closet and the crown moulding are absolutely gorgeous. We'd thought about utilizing the handyman at the hardware store however he never gave us a quote, despite our continuous reminders. Robert, however, gave us a quote and did an amazing, amazing job. I'm so glad we did not go with someone else because they gave us what we desired. It seems so much better than we ever envisioned.
We discovered that our shower apparently leaked and causing some problems in the unit therefore we needed a fix. Start anew rather than trying to patch things up and we chose to gut the thing Because we hated our bathroom. We spoke to an number of contractors. Many would make appointments to evaluate and provide a quote and never show up. Could provide quotes that are astronomical. I mean, this is New York, but come on, renovating a bathroom shouldn't eat up 25% of my wages.
These guys were a pleasure. I hope I do not have any plumbing problems that need adjusting, but I know where I will go when I do. Call them if you need plumbing work done! You'll be thankful you did.
These guys are absolutely wonderful. Hands down the best experience I have ever had with any kind of contractor, anywhere, and I have used lots of them over the years. The professionalism and service and communication and attention that they supply are the sort you would expect from the guy you know in a little city; I was so pleasantly surprised (shocked, actually) to find someone like this in Manhattan. Do yourself a favor, if you ever need plumbing work done and call them guys! Seriously!
They started the work just when they said they would (a few minutes early, actually). Over the course of a couple of months (we did so about Thanksgiving), they completely changed our bathroom. They tore out the bathtub, the walls around the bathtub, the bathroom, and the ground, and installed a new bathtub (which was very hard to do I'm sure because we've got a very weird and VERY tight space), a new shower body, brand new flooring, painted the walls, installed a new bathroom, and all. They installed a new shower door. The shower door wasn't part of the work sequence, however when we found one we liked, be purchased it and brought it to the flat. We requested them to install it told them we'd cover the setup; they installed it and did not charge us. It was not an easy door to install (a weird Kohler barn door thing).
We saw an advertisement on TV for a site named HomeAdvisor, and Star Cities was among those places they called us to. We got a reply and emailed Star Cities. They kept it and set up an appointment. They showed up on time (a few minutes early, actually) and took the opportunity to describe what had to be done clearly, assuring us that it was not as bad of a job as we believed. We waited to get their quote, and loved Robert. The quote came fairly fast -- much more quickly than we expected -- and we were pleasantly surprised at how realistic it was. Robert was the plumber we had satisfied, and gave us a price that is good and fair. Needless to say, we booked him to do the work.
When it came time to get the statement there were not any surprises. The deal was a deposit that is 75% is paid by us. The remainder of the invoice was another 25%. Directly up what we expected: we owed the 25% we did not put down into the deposit.

Find another. Sadly, they don't respect your own time. I used them before and they were alright. Tried a second time and had a morning appointment scheduled far out ahead of time. I was told they had a job so they had to move me. I rearranged my program and faked. Was given a window of 4-7pm. Called to confirm almost 6pm and was told they had to push me again until between 7 and 8pm. Got the runaround -- and he said,"what would you want me to do? Come the following day?" Star Cities, I have already rearranged my program. I have a project which I left early to meet with YOUR program. Don't ask me to do it. You wasted my time. Never again.

They replaced my toilet despite making an extra trip and showed up 20 minutes early. They provided assistance eliminating the toilet as well as bringing the brand new toilet upstairs, a tube that was flexible was replaced by them plus they were very friendly throughout. I couldn't recommend these guys enough for fast, professional service.

Robert provides a support - meaning, he does not only give you one answer to address your issue. He'll lay out all your options and delineate what is involved and when/why to go one path over another if there are options. And he will give his opinion about what he thinks you should do if it's the cheapest to you. He estimate fair prices and you is familiar with his job and solutions.
Reason Robert does not get 5 stars is b/c if he gets busy, he does not return calls - even to mention the job can't be taken by him. . .which is what thing to do. So while I was pleased with work Robert did when deciding on path of work and solutions and his feedback was beneficial. What was disappointing was the follow up and eventual drop off if he got busy.

I have no clue how I could add more superlatives. I've had such experiences in my 30 years in NYC. Robert was amazing in every way. He was always on time. His work was so incredible and the price reasonable. And he made I had been satisfied. I recognize that I am meticulous. Robert surpassed my highest expectation. I hope I don;t even require a plumber soon but I will always use Robert.

Believe the 5 star reviews, we could not recommend Star and Robert Cities highly! We had some plumbing issues relating to our toilet that needed to be solved and following a few horrible experiences with different companies, we came on Yelp and found Star Cities. The person we spoke to at Star Cities was polite, knowledgeable, and delivered in Robert's leadership to get the work began.   Robert was prompt, reliable, effective and got the job done also. Star Cities' pricing was aggressive and you certainly get a large calibre of work done for whatever you pay for.   You are certainly in good hands if you utilize those men!

We had a problem with the gas line in my own restaurant. A pin sized hole was in the line and it leaked out. The hole had been found and damion came and the flow repaired. Not only was he but his attitude maintained everyone during this clearly stressful moment at ease. I don't normally Yelp but couldn't pass up this one. I'd if I could give 10 stars. Business and Damion couldn't have been better at what he's doing. Highly recommend.

The best experience ever. I rarely ever post on Yelp however my experience was so outstanding that I must share it. The short story is: Robert came within a half hourdiscovered that the issue was so modest he would give me a cost for repair. I had to make my own cost. This was among the kind and very helpful contractor The longer variations: It was the afternoon before I had to leave my coop in NYC. I was in town for one last day, just to clear out my place and clean it up. I had no furniture left in the unit and I had to leave the town. Another tenant was going in next day and the unit had to be left in clean and working order. By miraculous miracle, I discovered a leak under the sink while I was cleaning. There was A builder there fixing an appliance, so it was looked at by him. A section tightened, and appeared to correct something, but said there was dripping from a different area. Though and did not really understand how to correct the leak, that contractor wasn't a plumber. So I called the building staff. A worker looked at it thought it was a hose and thought the hose was connected to the faucet and announced that the faucet would have to be replaced. He also said that he does not do that job, so I had to call a plumber. I began calling. The large"24/7" companies couldn't come until next day. Other numbers ended up in an infinite loop of phone numbers' that let back to listings. Others had no set period and voicemail . After a dozen calls, I called Star Cities Plumbing & Heating. Robert picked up the phone. He said he was about a half an hour off. He gave me. After he arrived, he reviewed various possible sources of the flow. He did a couple of things but then stood up and twisted the end of the goose neck faucet's goose neck and announced it was mended. He said the front of the faucet obtained loosened (likely by the cleaner who was still there). So it tightened up to close it. I kept stressing that he'd charge a higher fee (it's been a costly year!!) . When he said he can not even quote me a price since it was so easy, I was pleasantly surprised! I shall call Robert to get all and any plumbing needs and I'll refer him to anyone who desires an outstanding and acceptable pipes! Thank you Robert

Service was excellent and very fairly priced. Will definitely use again.

My call was taken right off and he called me back instantly. He couldn't come but arranged to come the following. He arrived in time. He had to snake the pipe out. $290 for about 1/2 hour's labour and no parts appeared on the large side although he was competent and professional.

Star Cities was professional in handling my pipes requirements, and did a superb job addressing the issue we were having. Robert was extremely useful and given a clear explanation of the difficulty how it may be resolved, and we were having. Friendly service around.
I would recommend Star Cities to anyone.

So much conviction!!! I had a significant issue with drainage out of my bathtub and kitchen sink. Damien needed to snake various plumbing, and he finally got it all cleared up! He had been a wonderful man and I highly recommend him.
