Thank you Frank for coming in in a pinch and getting the work done. He and his staff are professional and commendable. Would call again.
Our 42 year-old Peerless steam gas boiler heating system had broken down and I needed a replacement ASAP. Called a few contractors but Frank provided a fair estimate and was by far the handiest. He came out the following day to take a look. Arrived on time.
He came on time and got the issue resolved, monday morning. No longer leaks.
He completed it daily and must work at the replacement of the boiler after accepting his bid for the job.
After installing the system, a few of the links to the piping was not totally fastened and'd steam escaping/minor leaking. I text Frank on Sunday and received a call back fast to schedule a repair morning.

Amazed to see such a top review. We called to receive our a/c examined as well as did nothing and really asked me to call another service company while he sat and listened to the dialogue. He then surmised that we should require new Freon (which I would read is an extremely rare and extremely costly procedure) and demanded $250 for his useless services. They fixed everything immediately and we found a service that was more legitimate nearby, identified a couple inexpensive replacements, and charged us under $200 for everything.

I'm having a hard time writing this because I had such high hopes to get my warmth. But it's not. Frank a dude that is fantastic nice man but my guy your helper Gino. Called the man 4 times told me he'd be there never showed or straight back, 4 times!!! Wife wasn't pleased. And wife that is happy happy life.

Good thing about Frank is that he wo charge you to appear like the other businesses. Later on, he really explained of why he wasn't able to come through, concerning his situations to me and it was really valid reasons. We all have off days from lifestyle consequences, so all in all, he is valid, hard worker and charges much less than expensive places.
So...I am rewriting this review..unfortunately, I'd give 5 stars generally but Frank has slipped through a couple of appointments in the last couple of months. He was able to react right away for a project I've gotten a strike 2 of him not returning calls and telling me which I called him it can be made by him to an appointment but cancel at the last minute. I was annoyed at first but he finally called me back. He was never before so I was surprised.

I called on short note about a gas flow in my own range. He showed up as promised in hand with the part that was essential, and had everything. Reasonable price and a nice man. Would use his service again.

Updating my past review after reading the more recent ones. 4 years ago I had been quite pleased. I called the number that was a mobile phone, only a"hi" with no sign I was calling the business. Then I was told that he drove with what I needed and to text the amount. I texted and received no contact back. They will find someone else and've lost my company.

I had Frank put in a hot water heater for me and everything went fine. So I phoned him to hook up a sink and dish washer. I came and noticed there were a couple of gouges in our fresh wood flooring, Since he was finishing up putting in the dishwasher. It had apparently turned over on its side off of the pads, to hook up a few parts although I had put the dish washer.
Frank's instant reaction was to attribute my floor finishers, stating there was not any polyurethane on it. (Which of course, there clearly was ) In the center of me describing him it isn't important how many layers of polyurethane you put on a floor, if you put a significant appliance on both sides and push it around, it is likely to cause damage... Frank fully snapped and shouted at me"Get someone here to fix and I do not charge you a goddamn thing for it!"
He stomped without even saying a word, left filthy and debris pools of water anywhere and then finished up the rest of the job. He did not charge me for the job. So, great... free pipes; but that's not likely to cover the expense of getting these gouges out. And made to feel unsafe and I did not deserve to get shouted at. I was clearly not happy but not yelled at him or lecturing him, As soon as I watched the gouges in the floor. It was a period of thirty seconds where he lost control.

A few months later Frank fixed my AC (which is working wonderfully today!) Again, Frank was able to come over to fix it the very next moment. I would advise Heating and Gomes Plumbing to absolutely everyone and intend to use Frank for all my needs in the future.
My condo has been owned by me for both the summers I have spent here and a little over 2 decades, I have had problems. I have had 4 or 5 different companies come outside to consider the system and also my experience has ranged from them telling me I just have to alter the filter (that I do on a normal basis) to telling me I need to replace my entire system (involving a crane and shutting down my entire street with police detail for a whole day). Frank was called by me in Heating and Gomes Plumbing and we put an appointment for the very next day have a look at the system and to come out. He billed me a portion of what others had been trying to charge me and was able to come across the issue in time. I was delighted with the support I obtained that I have told all my friends who are home/condo owners in the area to call Frank and the work he did!

My water heater died on a saturday--important bummer. I hit the jackpot and hit on the yelppages. Honest gave me a quick, affordable quote and arrived to replace it the next day (sunday!) . Our water was back on by noon and the procedure could not have been more easy. thanks frank!

Frank was phoned by me to get a non emergency issue on Friday and he arrived on Sunday which in my opinion is as good as it gets unless you have an emergency. He was going to be delayed on Sunday making our appointment (sudden van fix problem ) but he called me well in advance to reschedule. When he arrived, he was educated and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone and will continue to use Frank.

I really don't get how this business has all reviews that are fantastic! We've got gas flow in one. After reading all these positive reviews we called Gomes plumbing heating and coolingsystem. We left 2 voicemails and two days later no reply!!! In the next voicemail we asked the guy to call us back though they can't look after the matter to let us know that they are busy or something. No reply! Do not squander your time. They do not care. Gas flow is the problem that is significant but not for all these guys I guess!

Our water heater broke on Friday and that I predicted Frank Saturday morning. He said he would be over in half an hour for quote and an inspection. He gave me a price and showed up on time. He began working on replacing the heater and was done in about 3 hours. He was honest, friendly, and quick. Look no further, as other places that I predicted quoted $500 more than Frank. Satisfied with the support, and if you'll excuse me, I'll be enjoying a hot shower that was pleasant and long.

Frank is responsive, knowledgeable, reasonable and friendly. When he is called by you you're getting his line. I wish I had hired him to install AC and our boiler rather than the guy I gave two stars to. I strongly recommend him and will have him return to fix some of the work that was done before.
OK, while I am composing Yelp reviews tonight, I really need to provide an 5-star rating that is overdue to Frank. You never truly appreciate a professional that is true until you've had to take care of a hack, which I have done. (I'm through with home warranty programs which don't provide you any say in who provides your services!) I had my home go cold on one of our mornings, and after a guy who before said he was booked solid for the afternoon we used and liked, I found Frank on Yelp. He pinpointed the issue and came over within two or three hours.
A few months later, I noticed a leak in the boiler. I called Frank, and he came with a few days later since it wasn't an emergency. He wasn't going to bill me and also fixed the matter, but I insisted on paying him a support charge.

Huge thanks to Frank who came to my rescue after the water was shut off in my building and the stem broke in valve. . .leaving me. Frank examined the matter arrived the following morning and sent me pics of the job while I was at work. Efficient and doesn't rip off you.

This man is the real thing. My water heater began leaking in my basement and I knew I needed to get the problem fixed right away since I headed out of town for a week. Frank gave me a good quote answered his phone, showed up when he stated he went to 2 hours later - and did a great job. This is my second period with Gomes Plumbing and if you think I'm managing anyone else you're out of your mind.

Our first floor heat (forced hot water) was not getting above 60 degrees. We known as Frank in the morning and Manny and he were by 5:30 pm this day in our home. He did not charge a commission to check at our issue (the other plumbers were used in the past charged $50 or more simply to emerge ). The yields were checked by him on our boiler and it was running hot, but he could tell that the baseboards weren't too hot as they should be. He changed the thermostat to get a digital one out. The floor is heating properly. His price was comparatively fair and he did not bill an after hours fee (though it was after 5 pm). We also appreciated having a locally owned (Dorchester) little business.

Called the owner to inquire about a fix. The guy was reluctant even to answer questions about where his business was located. Sounded unstable.

My heater didn't work and it started to get cold at night. Based on Yelp testimonials I called Gomes Heating. THAT night @ 6 PM, frank came out and over approximately 1 hour my heater was functioning. He checked my garbage disposal out too. His commission was competitive!! I need to call him to help me install my W&D. I'd recommend that his company is identified by Frank . I wasn't sure I really had a company v-mail or the personal v-mail of someone and call a couple of time and left messages.

I had a very simple plumbing issue and wished to replace my kitchen faucet however, did not have the proper tools (or time to be truthful ). Following a"Yelp" hunt I phoned Gomes and he came out within 2 hours. Frank and had the exact difficulty fixed and Griff were in my place. I would use them if needed.

Just wanted to add an updated inspection. We made a decision to replace the boiler in our home as it was original. Frank gave us his schedule and a reasonable price. He made us aware of incentives. We've been quite pleased with his own professionalism and Frank's work.
